Thanks. Honestly the case I got as a present from my parents in October 2016 (or at least that's when we ordered it, it actually arrived beggining of November). The rear case fan I chose because it was the cheapest 120mm 3 pin fan I could find at the store, didn't even think about how it looked, though I admit I like how it looks. The Nocuta fan I bought very cheap second hand a few months ago. The GPU I chose because it was the cheapest second hand GTX1060 6GB I could find, the logo on the side actually has lights. But all of this (and most imprortantly the mess of cables) is completely hidden once I put the solid sidepanel on. And your GPU should have similar performance to mine, at least that's in similar range performance wise and the rest is the same age (until a few months ago my main PCs CPU was Intel Core i7 2600s 2.8GHz that was an upgrade from i5 2320 3GHz which was an upgrade from the first CPU of this PC - Intel Celeron G530 2.4GHz). I remember the first time playing GTA V on my PC back in 2015 (it had Intel Celeron G530 2.4GHz, 8GB DDR3 and AMD Radeon HD7470 2GB) - it ran at like 15FPS on minimum settings, but I didn't care since I was playing the game (it was extremely hard to play this way, you press a button and there's a second, yes a full second delay, I thought I'm just very bad at this game, turns out when the game is running with playable FPS I'm not that bad). If back in 2012 someone had told me I'd have 10 PCs and 10 laptops (roughly) and two of the PCs will have decent parts and I will be able to play demanding games without problems; that I would have two PCs with 4c/8t CPUs, a laptop with 6c/12t, a laptop with 4c/8t, etc. I wouldn't believe you. I mean just 12 years ago I thought that a DUAL-core CPU, 4GB RAM and 1TB HDD is a beast of a PC and I would never need to upgrade it... oh, how wrong I was. To be fair before I bought my first PC I was using the family PC with AMD Sempron 2500+ 1.75GHz, 1GB DDR RAM, ATi Radeon A9550 128MB and 80GB IDE HDD running XP, so it was a pretty significant upgrade for me. Nowadays I can afford to buy a brand new PC with pretty good specs, but I don't want to since the PCs I have are good enough and I'm happy with their performance. Though I bought a brand new laptop to use at work (HP ProBook 455 G9 - Ryzen 5 5625U, 16GB DDR4, 1TB NVMe SSD, Win 11). Good luck to you! Hopefully you manage to upgrade your PC as much as you want.

Congratulations on your first build. You only have 4GB of RAM? Would be much better if you managed to get another 4GB stick (8GB total), just a suggestion. You mean my secondary PC? I can do it, but it's in a house with no heat and the weather is getting colder, so won't be very pleasant (it's about 2-3C in the house), but if I don't forget I'll do it during the weekend. Anyway, here's the Android x86 test on my main PC - 2:54 isn't bad I think, a decent result.

Here's my try - 56 seconds on Intel Xeon E3 1270, 16GB DDR3, GTX1060 running Windows 7 (with XP Zune theme) and Firefox (full specs of PC in signature, it's my main PC).

Hey, about 6 years ago I used to have two of these, both working great. One had a Core Duo (not Core 2 Duo) I think. Ones battery lasted for 20-30 minutes and the other ones 1-1.5 hours. Sold both of them for a pretty decent price ($100+) to people that needed them. One of them I still in use by the person that bought it from me (he uses it for diagnosing cars). The other one I don't remember what happened. I don't remember selling it, maybe it's still areound somewhere in the house... I'll have to check. Anyway here's a blurry picture of one of them (I have no idea which one). I have more blurry pictures of this laptop. My phone at the time (Sony Xperia E3) didn't like to focus very well in bad light where this picure was taken. And looking at those pictures I saw this laptop had S-Video out, would be perfect for testing the CRT TVs I got for free... Maybe I still have the second one.

I think GTA SA ran a bit better on my eMachines eTower 466i - Intel Celeron 466MHz, 512MB PC133, nVidia GeForce FX5200 128MB PCI, which I find surprising, at first I didn't expect it to run at all, let alone be playable. I actually found the videos I have of it, they are from 2014/2015 and here's a short part of one of the latest ones. Please try to ignore the music, also the game was heavily moded - basically all vehicles replaced and a bunch of other mods added, so I'm guessing the original unmoded game would run much better. I did compress the video, so I could upload it here. Still own this PC, but the GPU isn't in it anymore. Might install it and unmoded GTA SA, just to see how it would run when I have a lot of spare time. Untitled.mp4

Anything specific you want to see? Here's the desktop with Computer open (OS is in Bulgarian). I need to free up some space on my HDDs. I'm also using ClassicShell, 7+ Taskbar Tweaker, Stardock Fences, ObjectDock and Icon Packager to achieve the complete look. Just looked trough some old picures of my desktop and it seems that I've used this theme for 10 years (I've been using this PC for 11 years now, plenty of hardware upgrades have been done). Actually this is the picture I'm talking about (back when it had Celeron G530, 4GB RAM and HD7470 2GB). You can see the date and time in the corner. There's also the XP Luna theme that I first started to use, because I missed using XP. This picture is from 3.IV.2013, so a coupe of months older than the one above. And yes I did have both Office 2003 and Office 2010 installed at the same time, don't ask why, I actually don't remember. And the icons for the VMs you see in both of these picures are now on a dock on the right of my screen that auto-hides, that's why they aren't seen on the newest picture. There's also the Luna Metallic (Silver?) and Royale/Royale Noir themes, but I don't have pictures of them. Honestly don't remember where I found them. Here's also the start menu, almost forgot about it, using XP Zune theme for ClassicShell as well. It's not perfect, but it's good enough, Programs (Програми) opens the programs list like on XP and Shutdown (Изключване) opens the classic shutdown dialog. What else I remember, but haven't taken a picure of - the replace file dialog (or whatever it's called) is the same as in XP also I've set it that when you right-click on a program in the taskbar it opens the XP menu, thumbnails and grouping/hiding labels are disabled for the programs in the taskbar. I've also "installed" the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer from XP, I did it years ago for two reasons - I had a 1366x768 screen and the smaller buttons on the XP Picture viewer took less space of the screen so I could see a bigger picure and the other reason is that animated gifs work in it, but don't work in the default Windows 7 Picture Viewer (which I now activate and use on Windows 10). The start buttons I found on the internet, but they were in English and I wanted them in Bulgarian like the rest of the OS, so I took screenshoots of a XP VM with these themes and made the buttons for ClassicShell myself. If you want more information - just ask, and I'll answer to the best of my abilities. And I've got an issue with the Model M2 - when I turn on my PC it works, but when it gets to Windows the keyboard just locks up and it's unresponsive, but if I restart it works perfectly fine. I'd have guessed that the caps have started going bad, but I've tried it on 3 different PCs and it only does this on the one I want to use it on, on the others it works no problem and I'm confused. So any ideas are welcome.

At work we're cleaning up some storage space and there's some interesting stuff - a few Pentium 166MHz AT PCs, a PC with AMD K6-2, IBM PS/1 (the case is in perfect condition, haven't opened it). I've taken picutures of the PCs, but they will be recycled, I cannot save them (there's still a chance I could save the IBM PS/1 though). There's also two Pravets 8M (Правец 8М) PCs wich are Apple II+ clones made in Bulgaria and I've got one up and running, haven't tried the second one, but both monitors didn't work - one was fixed by recaping, but the other needs more attention. I take as much pictures as I can and I will post them some day, but now I want to talk about what I'm writing this post with. Well I've wanted an IBM Model M keyboard of the new Unicomp ones for a few years now, but they cost too much - I cannot make myself spend that much on a keyboard even if I could afford it. While going trough the stuff in storage I found a old keyboard branded LEO, buttons clicked like it was mechanical so I took it home. It's a KB-6251 with ALPS switches, but some buttons do not work, hopefully cleaning will fix them. Don't have a good picture of it, so will post one later. I also found a Compaq Enhanced Keyboard III that works perfectly fine. After these finds I was hoping I would find another such keyboard (I can keep some of the keyboards we find). So last week I wsa given a box with random keyboards and mice to sort trough. This is the result: In this picture are the things I didn't take home, but I found something interesting, something I've wanted for a while - an IBM Model M... well not exactly since it's a Model M2 (it's made in 1995 in the UK), but close enough. Took it home at tried it - no signs of life. When I found it I noticed the cable was pulled out (the wires were sticking out of the keyboard), so I decided to take it apart and see what has happened. The cable was just unpluged and after plugging it back in the keyboard came back to life - it works and has no capacitor issues at least for now! Here it is next to my Logitech Y-SU61 (my main PCs keyboard). It's basically in perfect condition, no yellowing, no scratches, no nothing, like it's brand new. The spacebar support was broken, but I found the pieces in the keyboard during dissasembly and glued it together, it seems to work fine now. I decided to use it on my main PC (it's running Windows 7 Pro with the XP Zune theme) for now, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out (I forgot I have personal files on the desktop when taking the picure, so I hid them later with Photoshop, didn't even try to make it look better than this). I just typed this whole post on this PC with this keyboard, still getting used to it, so I do make some mistakes when typing, but overall it's nice to tipe on.

It ran fine on a Phenom II x4 and 4GB DDR3 RAM, 250GB WD Blue HDD with over 65000 hours on it. Then I swapped the HDD in a Core 2 Duo E7400 and 3GB DDR2 system, it was usable. Currently running Windows 11 on my secondary PC with i7 4790 and thinking of dual-booting 11 on my main PC with my current install of Windows 7. You just have to do a bit of registry editing during installation of Windows 11 to bypass the checks and it installs and runs no problem. It actually detected and installed all the drivers for the Core 2 Duo system without Internet wich was unexpected, but a welcome surprise.

I'm sorry, but this definitely isn't the XP logo, it's the Windows 98 one if I'm not mistaken.

Ah, well, now your suggestions makes sense. Here no one cares that much, I can leave the PCs with admin accounts and let the kids to whatever they want, no one would care as long as the PCs are functioning. I'm at least going to limit what the kids can do, don't want them to have too much fun and make my life hard having to fix the PCs they've made unsuable with a bunch of software that shouldn't be used at school. Currently using Core2Duos with 4GB RAM (using HDDs, one even has a bad HDD and loads Windows for literary 15-20 minutes...), some PCs with Xeon x5670 and 8GB RAM with HDDs, there are some i5 4690/8GB RAM systems as well and a few of them even have SSDs, but they are a minority and all are running Windows 10 64bit. Oh there are alos two AMD Athlon II x2 systems - one with 4GB RAM I upgraded to Windows 10 (we are required to use it) and one with only 2GB RAM and a 40GB HDD, which I left on Windows 7. Defenitely am curious what the new PCs are going to be, hopefully the principal consults me about them, so we can pick the best for our budget. That's interesting, didn't know that, probably doesn't help that I've never seen or used MDM software in my life.

I actually have no experience with MDM, but for me at makes sense that at least there would at least be different profiles, but I'm not an expert, I'm learning as I go. I don't know what K-12 means (English isn't my first language). I work in a public school (grades 1-12) in Bulgaria, it's the largest school on our town (~850 students). The provided devices are PCs in the school's computer labs (which are planned to be fully renovated this summer) and the teachers are also provided laptops for work. Some of the laptops provided to teachers are controlled Chromebooks (controlled by the Ministry of Education - I think that's how it's translated). Also such laptops are provided to students when they have to be remote (due to Covid) and cannot afford a personal laptop/computer - low income families for example. Computers are used by the students only during IT related classes in the computer labs, during other classes they use just pen and paper. I'll have to do research how to do it, best I can do now is just let the students use non-admin accounts and password protect the admin account (the principal told me to just make the PCs usable for a few months since they will be replaced anyway, though I will definitely strenghten the security during the summer, especially on the brand new PCs we'll be getting).

@BondiBlue@TubsAlwaysWins I'm currently working at a public school (since the beggining of the year). I'm the IT department and am trying to make the network more secure than it currently is - the people before me left everyone do what they want on the school provided devices and some were full with pirated games and whatever else thay could get away with. Now I'm trying to quckly make the devices at least usable, over summer most will be replaced anyway and I'm going to have to figure out how to limit what can be done on them (any suggestions are welcome as DMs, don't want to derail this thread). And on topic - I completely disagree with the way it's being handled in @HammerheadH's school, I think it's too much, but it's a private school, I guess they can set much more rules than private schools. Completely agree that a guest network for personal devices and a network for the school devices is the way to go (the school I work at has tried to do it, but they set easy passwords, they were leaked and now security is basically non-existent and the network is managed by a private company, I cannot do anything about it at the moment). I just don't know what to say (maybe because I'm too tired to think at the moment). Good luck OP and hopefully the situation gets better.

I still use CDs and DVDs ocasionally. Come to think of it I own 11 PCs and all of them have optical drives except one (I bought it cheap with bent pins in the CPU socket, fixed it, tested it briefly by installing Windows 8.1 from DVD to a SSD, then took the DVD drive and SSD out of that PC and it's been sitting for months). And for laptops it's a different thing - I have two small laptops (10.1" and 11.6") that don't have optical drives, one HP EliteBook 8470p where I replaced the DVD drive with a dying 1TB HDD and my other 5 laptops have optical drives in them. At work (I work at a public school as the IT guy) I prefer using CDs and DVDs to load stuff to the PCs since I have no idea if they have viruses that could transfer to an USB stick, where the CD/DVD is safe from that. Though they will be replacing the current PCs soonish (currently using Core 2 Duo, Xeon from the same era or Sandy Bridge and Haswell systems, almost all of them have ODDs).

@aren332We don't have eBay in Bulgaria. We do have different websites for this and I just checked - 250GB 860 EVO is currently sold for about $38 which is less than $10 than the brand new 250GB 870 EVO. For some reason second-hand SSDs here are very expenisve and it's not worth it to buy it (everything else is normally priced, I have no idea why SSDs aren't). I'll just buy a brand new one
