  1. nah, just look on the windows 7 area
  2. Im trying to do boot camp on my mac pro. I guess because of the video drivers when i try to boot into setup it has a bsod. I found this link, and i am having the same problem. https://discussions.apple.com//thread/4814506?start=0&tstart=0&replyId=21366513 The problem with that topic is that the link they provided to fix the issue will not open because the website doesn't exist anymore.
  3. Hey guys, i just found something really cool. I had to get a product key from Microsoft and to get the product key the assistant took me to a website and it has direct downloads of windows iso. If you want to check it out heres the link [removed] if you go to the direct link, you can find a bunch more stuff [removed]
  4. So today i picked up a power mac g5 for free, its the one with 8 ram slots, dual 2ghz cpu and what ever. So I was upgrading the ram when it wouldnt boot after. I had put the original ram back in and still nothing. All it does is power on and it blinks once. I looked online for blink codes, but nothing about 1. I am not sure what is wrong with it. It worked before I had tried to upgrade the ram, so...... thanks, cameron
  5. Yea, apparently the battery in my voltage meter was dying so........
  6. Hello, I am trying to hook up an led receiver for an led strip in my computer, and because I don't want to have a cord coming out of my computer to a wall adapter, I want to hook up the receiver via molex. They make these but I would rather not have to drive down to my local computer store which is 1+ hours away. So I decided I could easily make my own by getting a dc plug that fits the plug, a molex input, and theoretically this should work because the yellow wire gives out 12v, also what the wall adapter gives out. So I got the molex conector and used a voltage meter to measure it and it gave out 36v!
  7. Although, I heard something about the chipset not being able to accept quad cores
  8. Hey, so I am visiting my cousin during Christmas and i wanted to bring my desktop so we could play some games, but i have a full size desktop and it wont fit if im flying, so I have a dell optiplex 745 sff, the small kind with a laptop cd drive, and i was wondering if i am able to put a q9550 in it instead of the 3.2 ghz pentium d it has now.
  9. So on the 25th, I bought a MacBook pro on ebay, and the MacBook pro shipped from Florida and my location is California. It is being shipped by Fed ex. Ebay says that will be here on Aug 1st, but fed ex says it will arrive on the 6th of Aug. I was wondering which one is more likely to be accurate. Thanks, Cameron
  10. So i just got a 3rd monitor today, and i am upgrading my computer. I want to be able to use a second graphics card to run this monitor. (i mean i could but an hdmi to to dvi adapter, but i would much rather have a second graphics card) So i have a radeon r9 270x 4gb model as my main gpu, and i want to use a geforce gtx 470 as my second gpu. The r9 270x i think requires 500w, while the gtx 470 requires a minimum of 550w. I am not doing any sli or cross fire because they are 2 different cards. My power supply is a thermal take tr2 700w 80 plus bronze. So will these two cards work just fine with this power supply, or should i get a 1200w power supply. And i would prefer not to have to get a lower powered graphics card.
  11. Hi, I have a problem with ubuntu linux, while I am setting it up, many letters and characters are missing. I have no idea why it is doing this. Please help, thanks, Cameron 14.04.4 LTS
