I noticed the HP 8100 Elite I have running as a Linux server was a bit hot under load (90C), so I decided to reapply thermal paste. I took out the heatsink, cleaned it, took out the CPU to clean it, then put it all back together. The first time I booted it there was no USB, so I couldn't get it to go past the POST screen (I need to hit F1). I tried clearing CMOS, and after that it doesn't boot at all. All the fans spin max speed, and there's no video out. I've tried reseating everything (GPU, CPU, RAM) checking all the connectors, and then tried the troubleshooting no boot post here. There's no USB power, but the ethernet activity lights flicker as if they're connecting to something. I did try booting without a heatsink on once, but after seeing the same black screen I just left the heatsink on. If anyone has any idea how I could fix this, I would be really thankful. I'm really hoping I didn't kill it, but I'm not optimistic.

I use the AKG K240 headphones, they're very flat, but they're open-backed, so if you're gaming in louder areas, you might want to get something else.

I'm also looking for something that can do computer-to-computer backup to friend's computers, and I haven't been able to find any suitable alternatives.

It's a 7 year old Lenovo W700 that I got about 4 years ago as a hand-me-down, because it was my dad's old work laptop. It runs Linux, so the video is very light on game performance, but it can run Unigine Heaven (sort of), as well as GLMark2 and Minecraft. And no, it cannot run Crysis. I really need an upgrade, so hopefully I can get one of the Rig Reboots. Sorry for the terrible video and audio.
