Bitfinex, second largest bitcoin exchange hacked. 75 million stolen
M4st4M1nd replied to RagnarokDel's topic in Tech News
I doubt it has anything to do with password dumps. There's no way they could steal this much in one swoop with a password dump from another source. I think its more likely there was more going on on their servers that didn't 100% secure their users. This is why I always keep my wallet close to home, stored offline. -
Amazon to test drone delivery in partnership with UK government

I better get my net ready -
CD Projekt Red are my favourite developers. I love GOG too. Preordered No Man's Sky there. DRM free is the way forward!

Excel works in wine, failing that just use Libre Office. I've been using it for years with zero compatibility issues, I use it at work too :/. The large majority of people don't actually game on PC in case you weren't aware, Pensioners certainly don't play GTA V xD. And Epic Pen? Really? So few people use that junk its not really worth talking about, but seen as you brought it up there are actually plenty of alternatives o You kind are doing exactly that. People like you spreading fud is precisely the reason Linux is seeing little adoption, putting people off using the OS. I'm not being funny but Linux laptops are a thing. You can buy them from Dell and even in store at PC World here :/. And you last point is mostly fud too. Look at Ubuntu for instance. Installing apps is extremely easy, my grand parents use the app store without issue. Most people who use a PC don't use it for many things at all, messing with Wine is not necessarily for the vast amount of users and neither are disappointing alternatives because I have to say many of the alternatives are actually better than some of the recommended apps out there, but that doesn't even really matter. Most users actually do use computer for light word usage, facebook and google. The large majority of PC users would be more than happy with a distro of Linux and wouldn't even notice a thing.

Seriously? I've got pensioners using Linux ffs. I've been told by many people that its actually easier to navigate than Windows and these are total noobs xD. Linux distro's are very well designed.

Last I checked a keylogger can and does collect personally identifyable information. This isn't stupid. Microsoft should be punished for this.

I'm so glad somebody finally spoke out about this. The data collection must come to an end.

No Man's sky might be delayed because of patent
M4st4M1nd replied to CaptainGazzz's topic in Tech News
I really hope this doesn't get delayed again. I feel like I'm dying waiting for it to come out. Especially since they've decided to delay it even longer in the UK for no apparent reason ~Mikey -
Yes they'll work absolutely fine together. Get the SSD first if you can then you can install the OS to that drive for the real performance gains. Btw I love your profile picture. Skinny Puppy rule!

NVIDIA Pascal Async compute support: CONFIRMED
M4st4M1nd replied to i_build_nanosuits's topic in Tech News
Well yes but we all knew it had Async support and it does get performance gains. Nobody has really disputed that. Does it benefit as much as AMD when used properly? Nope. So the same conclusion everyone has had for weeks now... -
You don't battle wild pokemon but you can battle in gyms and even take hold of gyms

Looks like it varies on country, no specific dates but you're looking between the 20th of July and mid next month.

Just not a fan of putting religious things in my house let alone my machine

I don't think anybody does. I'm from the UK. Never would have guessed this lol. I think this will confuse a lot of people tbh. Not so sure I'm comfortable with it in my machine either.
