  1. Help please! i had an amd build with a fx 8350, 32 gb of ram, and a msi 970 gaming motherboard. Worked great. Sold it. Upgraded to an i7 6700k, 1 16 gb stick of ram, and gigabyte z170x ultra mobo. My pc is now constantly freezing and going super slow. What is going on?? It shows a lot of not responding pages. Just about whenever I click on an app it says it's not responding then works. The build is brand new today. I factory reset everything to barebones windows 10. What do I need to do to get rid of this?
  2. Why wouldn't I download old drivers? i tried old drivers from 2013 when my laptop came out, tried new drivers from 2016. Doesn't matter. None will download. It's like my integrated gpu just quit on me
  3. I tried all the current drivers and have fresh installed the os many times. Shipped it back to hp today so they can fix it.
  4. My peripherals are as follows: logitech z-340 computer speakers(4) with subwoofer logitech g600 mmo gaming mouse w/ qck heavy mousepad Logitech g430 headset logitech c920 camera audio technica at2020 microphone w/ boom arm roccat isku keyboard (non rgb) razer Tartarus gaming keypad (2 Xbox one controllers-tricked out- w/ Xbox one PC wireless adapter) - and a cyberpower 1500VA ups, if you want to consider that a peripheral item i need a new, lighter mouse for better competitive fps gaming
  5. Sit down, grab a cup of coffee, and enjoy. Alright, so i always run malware bytes anti malware and avast antivirus. My mother and I use the computer. I've never had a virus on my computer ever. My mom has had 2. -my mom comes to me one day and asks me why my computer won't turn on. I don't know what she's talking about because she's been the one using it. So I turn it on. It says," repairing your computer" or some shit like that, and so I wait. Then it goes to a screen that says " a problem has occurred choose from these options". So I choose all the options at different times: restart, bios, recovery. Nothing happens except every other startup the computer loads into the hp logo and the circles are spinning and then.... It freezes. The circles freeze and the PC freezes. - this is an hp envy 15t-j1000 notebook- 3 years old bought July 2013. - I take it to the shop, a certified repair shop, and the guy says there is a bad virus that won't let the PC boot. Says it won't be a problem. So I leave it with him. Alright. He calls me the next day, says the virus is gone. PERFECT! PROBLEM SOLVED! ...or naw.... he says he's having some trouble with the computer. He had wiped the computer hard drive because I said that was fine so that he could eradicate the virus. And he did. But in doing that, he wiped the drivers. So still no problem, right? wrong. When he went to the hp website to download the drivers for Intel for my PC, they wouldn't work. The PC would crash or some shit every time. So the graphics drivers were fucked. Not good. He disabled Intel graphics and only used nvidia graphics. But some updates wouldn't download, and you would have to press the shut down button twice to get the shit shut down. the guy did all he could. My PC is back to factory, lame 8.1, with the shut down issue and driver issue, and I have my free install of Windows 10. I try to install Windows 10, and it freezes at 26% following a black screen. so I shut it down and reboot it and it says "reverting back to previous Windows". It does that successfully and says 3 updates were not installed correctly. The 3 updates were these: -definition update for Windows defender -update for Windows 8.1 for x64 systems -update for Windows 8.1 for x64 systems these will not install. I am so pissed right now not only that my PC isn't fixed, that I paid 85 dollars to have it half ass fixed, that it is out of warranty and I have to pay a shit ton more to get hp to fix it, that it was working fine and it's a software issue, and that my fucking mom clicks every goddamn pop up in her fucking emails that gave it the fucking virus in the first place. help.
  6. Someone make new threads to get rid of the 666 pages!!!!
  7. My computer: fx 8350 with h100i gtx 2 r9 380 4gb in crossfire 32 gb ram 240 gb ssd and 2 tb hdd msi 970 gaming mobo antec 1000 hcp platinum psu i recently upgraded my psu my psu cause performance was suffering from power choking, but every time I boot my pc my computer doesn't recognize my second gpu installed. In bios it doesn't detect anything in the slot. The fans are spinning and I know the card is hooked up because once I take it out and put it back in it works. How can I permanently fix this issue so that I don't have to take my card out every time I boot my pc?
  8. I broke rules 10-1 with the exceptions of 5 and 4(don't overclock and got a fx 8350)
  9. I would like to win the Excalibur v2. I have a membrane keyboard. #damndaniel
  10. Right now I have 2 r9 380s in crossfire. - antec 1000 watt 80+ platinum psu - asus m5a99fx pro 2.0 board not saying I will because it's probably not worth it from a financial standpoint, but for s***s and giggles, could I potentially run 4 R9 380s in quad crossfire? Or even 3?
  11. Ssds are better and bad ass. Nuff said.
  12. I am totally into the roccat Kova. Can I tell you why I need this mouse? NEED. Like with an N, an E, an A, and D. First off, I am broke as a joke! I can't afford a new mouse, refurbished mouse, broken mouse, real mouse, mice, or one found in the dumpster. Yes I am too poor for a dumpster mouse. -with that said, I dumped a bajillion dollars into my gaming rig, and am running a dell mouse, you know, the standard dell mouse, ol' faithful, good old c8639 (I want to burn it) BUT I absolutely adore roccats products! I recently purchase the roccat isku fx gaming keyboard, and it works like a dream, *shoutout to Linus for doing the UNBOXING and that's what made me buy it* although the caps lock feature blows my mind.... Is it there? Does it do stuff like Caps? Oh well who reads the manual anyway??! BUT! The dpi on this mouse would be absolutely perfect for CSGO and Dirty Bomb, which I play avidly. - I don't need all the extra buttons for added functions like the razer naga, and I couldn't afford it even if I wanted it! - I'm sure the weight of this mouse won't kill my ever sensitive wrists (hah) - who DOESNT want more RGB? Especially to match my keyboard! - (yeah It'd be a good match for the roccat keyboard just said that but reemphasizing it) - it'll be in a smoke- free home, contradictory to my name (hah) - I will have the added buttons for different stuff like reload, crouch, shift, if I do decide to use them I think that's about it. Thank you Linus for giving away other people's stuff, you're the Robin Hood of techies, and thank you roccat for the bad a$$ products for banging prices that get the job done'
  13. Yeah me either I just felt like that would help improve the life of the overall cards, similar to rotating your tires on your car lol
  14. Does this thing not have good crossfire applicability? Is it true it has pcie x16 and x8 so crossfire isn't optimized?
