Flash the latest bios.
Change the 1600AF, replace it with a 5600.
Overclock the RAM to 3200.
Change the GPU to an RX 6700.

I saw it, it's the goal of the system.
Ultra 1080p can be done with a 2070 or higher, sure a free solution would be to lower the graphics settings to high or take it to the extreme and set everything to low with DLSS rendering at 720p BUT a person's choice on what they want their system to do is THEIR CHOICE.
The best gaming PC is the PC you like to game on, how you like to game on it.

I'd go for CPU and RAM to start since those are the most cost effective right now.
your motherboard supports up to 5000 series so I'd go 5600 for $150-180 from ebay
add some faster memory 32GB of 3600mhz is around $80-100 new on amazon so shop around
you can easily flip the 1650 super for $100 so you have around $350 to work with for a GPU
$350 will get you a 2070 or 2080 easily with money left over for a 1TB SSD or a new PSU if the EVGA one is under 750watts to support the 2080.
You may find 3060ti and 3070 if you bargain hunt but the 2080 will give you more fps than any 3060 while the 3070 is going to take a lot of looking and luck to get one around $350.

Alexcalibur got a reaction from WhitetailAni in Connecting DNS to MC server, help!
Figured it out, I needed mc infront of the servername.com, so in the server IP it needs to be mc.servername.com for anyone else reference.

Alexcalibur reacted to Lurick in What network security steps should I take for a Minecraft server?
Use cloudflare to start. You'll point cloudflare to your own IP but cloudflare itself will be where the domain is hosted so traffic goes through them so they can't attack you directly.

Generally not too much you need to do. Seperate subnet is best if your router supports it(most home ones dont).
Keep everything up to date is the biggest thing you can do.

None at all. It just depends on the amount of players you will have on that server. I'd even say 16GB is overkill for RAM.

Alexcalibur got a reaction from Eighjan in SSD will not show up in boot options, but works fine in boot override
I unplugged the other two hard drives and it booted up no problem to the OS. I am going to plug them back in and see what happens. I can't put the SSD in position 0 atm, as I only have 90 degree SATA cables and it needs a straight one to fit in lol.
