Giveaway put into motion for a reason that is privy to a generous individual and myself.

    Giveaway Results
The giveaway will be closed to entries 48 hours after the start of this thread. The winning entry will be selected with a random number/name generator, and will be announced 1 hour after the giveaway has closed, in a status update. The winning entrant will have 12 hours to PM me their Steam name, and must allow me to add their Steam name to my friends list for the gifting to work. I will only attempt to send the gift once. The winning entrant may remove me from their friends list as soon as the gift is received. If the winning entrant does not fulfill the winning conditions, another entrant will be selected as the winner.

    Stipulations
Please do not argue about the “fairness” of the giveaway. Nowhere in this thread do I claim it is fair. If you don’t like the conditions I’ve set forth, you’re free to walk away from the giveaway. Stipulations may be subject to change. If changes occur, I will make a post in this thread about it.
    For Solved/Featured Reply Entries
My intentions here should be fairly clear. I want my $10 this Gift Card to go to someone with merit.

    For 🍑 Entries
Gonna turn this into a game. If you can correctly guess 1) whom the generous individual is AND 2) for what reason the giveaway occurred, I’ll turn your winning entry into a $25 Steam Gift Card. There are some clues in 🍑 channel and in this thread, but making the connections between them won’t be readily apparent. Y’all also get laxer stipulations because F A V O R I T I S M.

    Closing Comments
For the first 10 hours after this thread has been posted, I will be busy and I won’t have time to actively monitor it. If the thread gets locked by a Mod, my sincerest apologies to the Mod Team and to all those that wanted to participate in the giveaway.

Absolutely love the chords, lyrics, and stories told through Five for Fighting's songs. Cousin introduced me to more of his stuff beyond 100 Years when we were building a mix-CD on his old G4 iMac PC, which I thought was wicked cool at the time due to the form factor.

ANNIE ARE YOU OK ANNIE ARE YOU O- oh. um. Sorry, got carried away there. Seriously though, though I enjoy Michael's original, this version has it's own reasons for living into the notoriety it earned in 2001.

Though I wasn't into the 80's & 90's rap scene growing up, I look back on artists like Run DMC, Biggie, and D12 as being the talented players in the rap game. Today we've got ... who left? While I won't knock anyone who likes mumble rap, it's just not the roots from whence good rap came from.

Brehm me up scotty! Er. Wait. Not like that. Or maybe like that? IDK. You tell me. I'm lost in dreams after listening to both the above songs because these EDM artists combined with Laura's vocals creates such a sleepy atmosphere at times. She's also released her own acoustic EP titled Breath with a track by the same name.

Does anyone remember t.A.T.u. ? Hello me, listening to nothing but 200km/h in the Wrong Lane for most of summer 2008? 2009? I can't remember. Whilst most people only know All the Things She Said, I quite enjoyed the album as a whole. I don't have a favorite song off the album per sey, but particulaly favor the slower tempo of Stars with Russian rap interspersed among the English.

Oh my, I won't hedge my bets on anything, but I really hope Daron and Serj can put their differences aside and release a new SOAD album. There are rumors of the band having a back catalogue of ideas and allegedly enough songs to make an album, but for now I'll just have to relive the band I spent hours listening to back when I was questing for the Horde playing WoW Burning Crusade many years ago.

I can't remember if it was yourself or another user who shared their mashup cover of Metallica's Harvester of Sorrow and Soggy Bottom Boys' Man of Constant Sorrow from the movie O' Brother Where Art Thou - I love that rendition for its' mix of thrashy bluegrassin' goodness. This quarantine playthrough of Thunderhead is great too, mostly because so few bands I listen to use a banjo in their tracks.

    😎 I'm not sorry. You're welcome.

Gee thanks, now I'm all sticky from the adhesive.  No but really, I absolutely LOVE how the groovy bass plucks play right up there with the lead synth throughout the entire song in such a complimentary way. Can't remember exactly how I first heard the track back in 2015, but as soon as it began playing it reminded me of extremely intense versions of some of the tracks by BC's own JPOD The Beat Chef.

I'ma start by saying I absolutely hated everything about artists like Ke$ha for the fan-service, marketing tactics, and weak production qualities. Then I was selected to be the "DJ" at a couple of work parties. After DJing (and knocking back a few beers), I came to understand why people craved catchy earworm songs performed by artists like her, Katy Perry, and Charlie XCX - they're great to sing along to when you're having a damn good time because they use predictable hooks and simplistic repeatable lyrics, which coincidentally make them really fun to create DJ mixes with. You win music industry, you win.

At least Katy Perry writes (or at least co-writes) most of her songs, which is something I favor in an artist, regardless of how manufactured their style might be. Oh right, and we can't forget Adam. Sweet, sweet, insomniac Adam. I haven't looked in years, but I hope he's doing well these days, because years of insomnia will kill you.

Now that that's out of the way, let's get onto my treat for everyone... synthwave duo PRIZM released a new album 4 days ago on September 4th that I can't put down. Though it's heavily edited to meet SynthWave™ standards (I joke I joke, what standards?), I absolutely love the highs in the vocals on Can't Bring Me Down. The entire album makes me want to hop in my car with 3 friends, windows rolled down on a hot summer night, and just drive around the city until the sun comes up.

I have an extensive stretching routine I do about every other day. I'd swear my body is like a wind-up toy that is constantly being wound to the point of breaking and stretching unwinds it a little bit. It's amazing how stiff and inflexible you become after even a couple of days.

I practice the do whatever you want movement. I do not believe in PC culture, or any of the movements that we are currently seeing or have seen in the past 10 years or so. I do understand that there is racism, sexism, slight climate change. But I also believe that some people will use these subjects for personal gain. Which is why I do not participate.

I was already following the tenets of the Free Agent Lifestyle before I knew the movement because I never saw the appeal in relationships and cohabitation. I love being alone and enjoy my freedom too much. I believe Americans like the saying "the juice is not worth the squeeze".

So the only thing that changed regarding women is that I don´t feel lost anymore because  I always thought something must be wrong with me as everybody around me had girlfriends, wife, children, a regular life ... The movement showed me that I am not alone with my decision.

It is however not all about women. I had made bad decisions in my life for a long time. I had no life goals and just drifted along before I knew about the movement. They helped me back on track and helped me to self improve. I started hitting the gym and quit my job to study computer science.

Free Agent Lifestyle (= sub movement of the more popular term MGTOW). It was created in the last years. It focuses on self improvement and has three main tenets: no cohabitation, no relationships, no marriage
Minimalism: Living in a trailer (once I finish studies), avoid buying unnecessary stuff especially electronics.

First off, ignore EVERYTHING @fpo said. They don't know what they're talking about and are going to get you banned.

    aisle9's Rules of eBaying:
If you sell on eBay, you accept returns. Period. Especially if you don't want to. If the buyer says "Item Not as Described" for their return reason, you are taking it. Condition of the item, working state, your own stance on returns, none of it matters. You are taking that item back. All asking for pictures or video will do is piss your buyer off, and the more pissed off your buyer is, the more likely it is their return package contains a brick. By the way, eBay will take the return and give it to the buyer anyway, because, their words not mine: There's no proof that the buyer put the brick in the package and mailed it You should build losses into your business plan eBay is a building and the building isn't responsible if someone comes in and shoplifts from your store inside of it If your buyer says it doesn't work, just tell them to open a return and issue them the label. If you don't, they'll open a return as Item Not as Described anyway, and if you don't issue them a label, eBay gladly will. eBay will also gladly hit your account with a defect and a higher final value fee for ignoring that return. Oh, and the buyer will get their money back anyway. Fight it on the back end, not the front. Even when fighting it on the back end, you'll lose by default. eBay hates sellers and wants us all to die in a fire so new ones that will accept any offer--literally any offer--come on board to replace those of us who won't bend over and take $50 for an item listed for $375. Reasons to block a potential buyer: Lowball offer (don't use auto-decline for this reason) Sob story Asking way too many questions (I allow one round via message, then one follow up to my replies) Asking the wrong questions (suggestive of a plan to return later) Non-payment (after the non-payment process has completed--open that claim ASAFP) Leaving too many negative or neutral feedback comments Revising feedback--suggests that they wanted a partial refund and got it from that seller Any kind of request that you change your shipping options for them, use their UPS account, change the address it's shipped to, anything like that. Block them yesterday. Situations in which it is ok to fight a refund up front: Buyer comes out  of the blue with a message that states the problem with their item--usually BS--and a hint that they'd take a partial refund instead. Or, alternatively, a very specific amount that they want with no explanation as to how they came to that number. This type of person is called a "partial fisher". If I get one, I just reply to them that I'm sorry to hear they're not happy with their item, and they're welcome to return it for a full refund. This works because partial fishers don't actually want to return it, they just want a post-sale discount. If you tell them to return it, they'll typically just go away. ANYTHING INVOLVING A FREIGHT FORWARDER. Not enough people understand this concept. Use of a freight forwarder invalidates buyer protection. Google the address the buyer wants you to ship the item to. If it's a freight forwarder, you're golden. If the product arrives damaged, it's the buyer's problem. If the product never makes it to the buyer but tracking shows that it did make it to the forwarder, that's their problem. Just keep track of which orders are going to freight forwarders, and if anyone ever complains, contact eBay over the phone with that info immediately to have the case closed in your favor. If, by some off chance, the return is approved, you are only responsible for shipping from the freight forwarder to you. Issue the label from the freight forwarder to you. The buyer will pitch a fit. Too bad for them. If they don't get it to the freight forwarder, get the forwarder to repack it and ship it back to you (most won't bother), and do all of this before the refund window closes, they're SOL. Anything high-dollar involving fraud, like sending out a $2,500 MacBook (why?!) and getting a 3-ring binder back, should be fought hard on the back end. In that case, go directly to your local police and file a report for theft. They will do nothing about it, but if you get a copy of that report and call eBay with it in your hands, eBay will probably give you your money back as a "one-time courtesy". This type of case should only be fought on the back end. Any other questions, let me know. I've laid way off of eBay in the last year, but I flipped items, both electronic and not, on there for years.
