  1. I can't actually change some of the keys with the zenbook I have now. Most remapping programs don't recognize brightness media keys.
  2. Question about this laptop: can you invert the function and media keys. I hate having to hold function to change brightness
  3. So what you're saying is it's almost pointless downscale the resolution. I have 30 days with the laptop. When I have it i'll benchmark it with scaling and without. The 1080p version just seems like a not great option considering most high-end laptops are at about 1440p these days.
  4. well Windows has scaling for the environment. 100% scaling is ridiculous, but it's still 4k. Would reducing it to 1440p or something like that considerably save battery?
  5. I plan on getting the HP Spectre x360 13.3". I plan on getting the 4k one. Would reducing the resolution to something a little higher than 1080p improve battery significantly?
  6. The Surface I think has a leg up with the magnetic charging and touch screen. It's really a tie for me and has been for a couple weeks
  7. My reasoning with the Surface Laptop is that the future will be more wireless anyway. With something like a Macbook pro, it's all dongles in the present. With a surface, it's no dongles in the present, and possibly some later on. A mac would be none later but some now.
  8. I'm really picky im sorry! I'm spending a lot of money so I want it to look as good as it functions
  9. Could you find the link to the not gold spectre? I only see the one with gold accents. And I do find the ports in the back a little awkward. You have to do a lil reach around every time you plug something in. I love the Surface Laptop's magnetic charger. A USB-C one would be my second choice. I like the look of the HP Elitebook Folio, but it's only a core m.
  10. the razer blade honestly for the rgb keyboard and 4k screen. I think the battery life is awful though. I'm not a fan of the plastic in the xps and the gram. The spectre is too gold for me and the ports are in a terrible location. The yoga 910 is a nice option but it has a huge footprint. The samsung notebook i won't get because i want 12-14" screens.
  11. I was skeptical, but that Folio does look dang good... The only thing is that it's unfortunately 6th gen Intel, not 7th. Edit: it's a core M series ewwwwwwwww
  12. The LG Gram could be a better build quality in my opinion. Plastic bezel, things like that.
