  1. I can't find anything that interests me. Terrarie for some reason doesnt want to work and Planetary annihilation's gui is slow for some reason which makes it unplayable. I recently took over the world in hoi4, again. Most other games I play are either online or too demanding. I can't download big games either.
  2. I can't play online games and my laptop only has an MX150 (does have an i7-8550U though) Whats some fun games I can play?
  3. Im using mackie's but looking to upgrade to Klipsch. Heard only good things of them. If the signal does not need to be converted from analog to digital or vice versa, you won't need a dac. I ran my bookshelf speakers through a 3.5mm before and it worked just fine.
  4. if your monitor has an HDMI or Displayport you can use any of them. If it only has Dual DVI you need to get an HDMI or Displayport to Dual DVI adapter or cable. Oh whoops, Sorry for any confusion.
  5. Both cables are able to push 1080p at 144hz. HDMI 1.3 is able to push 1080p at 144hz iirc so if you have that laying around you can just use that.
  6. Ah that makes sense. Guess i'll just have to use a VPN or a mobile hotspot then. Thanks!
  7. "That type of connection"? Isn't connecting to a server to play a game the same as connecting to a server to download a webpage? I've got no clue how any of this work so please correct me if i'm wrong.
  8. Hello, Im in a hospital for a very long time and there really isn't anything to do besides watching netflix or youtube but that gets stale after 2 months. The only games I can play are singleplayer and my laptop isn't really powerfull enough to play the demanding single player games I usueally play at home (eg cms 2018). I tried to launch an online game hoping the wifi won't die on me but I couldn't even connect to the game servers. I tried War thunder, EVE, War planet online and ever agar.io or any online browwser game doesn't work. I can connect to the internet just fine. My WiFi properties are: SSID: Clients Guest Protocol: 802.11n Security type: Open Network band: 2.4 GHz Network channel: 11 IPv4 address: 10.22.14.212 IPv4 DNS servers: 1.1.1.1 1.0.0.1 Manufacturer: Intel Corporation Description: Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 8265 Driver version: 20.50.3.3 Physical address (MAC): D4-6D-6D-FD-88-97 What do?
  9. Alright so this is the lengthy and frustrating process I did to get back into windows. Bootrec /fixboot? Nah acces denied. Bootrec /Rebuildbcd? Location not found Literally anything else on the internet? Didnt work. So I decided, lets try reinstall windows, which was a nightmare by itself because some dynamic disk wasn't doing something it should do. Made a small 10GB partition, install easyBCD, Make a bootloader for my F drive (which was the drive my windows was on). Fix bootloaders to be sure. Set priority for the new bootloader I made. Delete the 10Gb partition after some testing and its working now, more or less. Not the most orthodox methot but if its stupid and it works, its not stupid.
  10. So I have a 1TB HDD and a 500GB SSD. Originally windows was on my HDD but I bought my SSD some time ago and moved windows over. Now for somw reason the bootmanager stayed on my HDD and it was quite annoying for some stuff I cant recall anymore so I tried moving it to my SSD using EasyBCD. I dont think it went really well... Now when I boot via Windows Boot Managed I get the error code 0x0000098 and when I boot via either my HDD or SSD I get taken to a windows screen to either install or repair. I tried automatic repair/startup repair, sfc /scannow, bootrec /fixboot, /fixmbr and some diskpart thing telling me to go to some directory but my pc couldnt find it so no luck there either. OS is Windows 10 home x64 Specs dont really matter I think. I did noticed that right after I moved, or tried to move my boot managed the computer didnt want to shut down. It just restarted. So I cut the power and forced it to shutdown. /Help
  11. If I recall correctly usually it has an infinity symbol somewhere and if you want to mount the lens it has a red dot instead of a white one for the infinite focus distance thing. My 50mm lens for example has the symbol and the dot, the rest of my lenses dont.
  12. So for my photography exam I need to present 5 photo's with the same topic to my teacher and toucht stars are p cool since im a huge nerd and I like astronomy. So I researched my stuff and everything is A-Ok except I needed a 24mm lens. Luckely school had one. So I brought it home, reread the thing and found out you need like an infinite focus thingy. Well yeah the one I have no doesnt have it, I think. On the lens its says something about macro 0.16m-0.52ft and I assume its the minimum focus distance but it doesnt say anything about the maximum so... Will it work? This is the lens btw
  13. So if I understand it right it gets uploaded on their servers and put on a "hold"? or does it keep a file somewhere on my computer?
  14. Ive been streaming mostly singleplayer games or games where stream sniping isnt possible. But now I want to stream one and ofcourse, you are going to get stream sniper. Probably my best bet at fighting it is having a huge delay. Im talking about a few minutes. 5 to 10 or so. But does having a delay actually impact your peformance or bandwidth? Where does it keep the 5 - 10 minutes that havent been streamed yet?
  15. After the factory reset everything is fine tough. Also I probably voided the warranty for like 4 times in the first day I got it so yeah
  16. Okay so yesterday I went on my laptop to play some games beause I couldnt use my desktop. The laptop is pretty solid and can run games pretty good (Atleast for a laptop that was just $600). When I first got it it could run CSGO at arround 100-120FPS, not sure what settings. Yesterday it could barely got 30FPS on the absolute lowest settings. I had no idea what was causing it. I deleted all the stuff you can with CCleaner and also fixed the registry files, deleted some stuff, restarted the PC and tried again. No results at all. I decided to do a factory reset and install CSGO again. BOOM! 60FPS on quite high settings. Hell I can even get 30FPS in cherno at DayZ at low settings, Yesterday it wasnt even 5. I also noticed my CPU gets hotter then it used to be and the fans are actually spinning p loud now, I couldnt hear them at all yesterday. What could be causing this? Heat shouldnt be it because yesterday it was idling at 45°C and on loud at was arround 50°C. also it isnt age, the laptop isnt even a year old
  17. So I downloaded Niresh Maverick, Made a bootable USB on it and when selecting the USB on my boot menu it comes with some options to launch and the parameter stuff or whatever. When I press enter the apple screen appairs for a split second and my pc just reboots. I have an intel CPU (i5-4430) so its nothing with AMD. My GPU is the MSI GTX960. Not the gaming version tough. The black and white one. So yeah, What do?
  18. Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3 Or I can just get a DDR3-1600 mobo and let it bottleneck but it'd be a waste don't you think?
  19. Not really. Like I said before its one of the cheapest with 16gigs thats not G.Skill ugly. The CPU socket is clearly in the title and video editing/rending and gaming. 'Merica is cheaper :^)
