Feronix got a reaction from Prastupok in COD tells i don't have enough memory
Correct. I think the minimum is 6GB, or at least that's what it was in Ghosts.
There are some fixes for it though, Googling should do the trick

Feronix got a reaction from Camthalion in 380T Build. Need Suggestions.
Not gonna lie dude, but for LoL this is major overkill. You could get away with a 750 Ti/ 260x. Even for main titles I think you're overspending on the GPU. For 1080p gaming a 970 is going to be more than sufficient and even that will play pretty much any triple A title out there at max settings and smooth framerates. What games do you plan on playing anyway?
For the CPU, I wouldn't wait for Broadwell personally. New hardware is constantly around the corner, but especially with the Intel CPUs there's never a massive difference, so I'd say just get one now and enjoy that. Most games don't use more than 4 cores, so an i5 4690k was considered the sweetspot for gaming, but seeing as games are starting to use more cores due to the 8core consoles and you appear to have the money for it, you might as well get an i7 4790k to match the overkill GPU.
If this is seriously just for LoL though, get an i5 with a 280x and enjoy the already-overkill system.
Again - For gaming 16GB really isn't necessary and adds nothing at all over 8GB. But as you seem pretty set on upgrading to 16 eventually anyway, you might as well go for it immediately rather than getting an 8GB kit now, then selling that and buying a 16GB kit later down the line.
Just some food for thought

Feronix got a reaction from NitrosNachos in Black and gold case?
Oh the Aerocool DS Cube (not an Aerocool fan myself but okay) and Raijintek Metis also both come in gold.

Feronix got a reaction from NitrosNachos in Black and gold case?
Well there's also a gold Edition Enthoo Primo...
But I'm with the rest that you should do a custom job! Don't paint entire panels gold though, it'll look ridiculous. Go for a mainly black case with some golden trims/accents.

Feronix got a reaction from ShadowSkull1001 in Building a 700 dollar gaming PC
With a card like that I'd say you'll need either a better case, or at least more fan. The Spec-01 only comes with one fan which is in the front and it won't have any exhaust fans.

Feronix got a reaction from Lewellyn in 970 G1 Gaming 3600MB vram.
Aye, same here. GPU-Z and MSI Afterburner report 2GB though, so I'd rather trust them

My GTX 760 SC shows 4GB VRAM in DXDiag even if it's a 2GB card

Feronix got a reaction from stórm in Linus' Hackintosh Build Parts help
Mate, that is still a Hyperthreaded quad core CPU at nearly 4GHz, it's going to be overkill for most games if anything. You can also run OS X on pretty much any configuration. I currently run a dual boot with my Xeon 1230 v3, and previously had one with an i3 3225

Feronix got a reaction from megadarkwood in They said I'd never all of my 32gb of RAM...
I've got a Hyperthreaded quad core but I'm preeeetty sure it'll edge out your 8 cores m8
Then it again it does cost twice as much

Feronix got a reaction from BrianPena in Fiio E10 vs E10K
DAC was changed to a PCM5102, opamp upgraded to an LMH6643 and they fixed some bugs that users had with the E10 of which I honestly do not know the specifics. I have heard the E10k one requires drivers though, where the E10 didn't.

Hope it's allowed, but I'm going to quote a guy from the OC3D forums, and then the reply of a Corsair rep (Grey_Beard)

Feronix got a reaction from SirSquid in Friend Asked For a Gaming PC
Ehm yeah, I wouldn't do this tbh. This build is out-dated and half broken before you even give it to her. I get that the platform is cheap, but Socket 771 for a new PC? Also, Xeons aren't that good for gaming, the Core i5 equivalent tends to beat them, even more so when you overclock them. Having to mod the motherboard socket, before the CPU even works in it and then selling it to someone? That is stuff you do to your own builds and weekend projects, not builds you charge other people for.
What about this?
You can swap out the CPU for the Athlon 860k if you want more cores. Depends on the price. You CAN go down to 2GB RAM, a smaller HDD, a Corsair VS series PSU and some crappy $10 case if you really have to. But this system is about as low as I would go for a gaming system without using used parts. Although if the budget really is this tight; Look for a used Athlon 750k, they shouldn't cost shit right now and are still great little performers (actually very little difference with an i5 when paired up with low-end graphics cards).

Feronix got a reaction from vlkn´ in Sharkoon power supplies. Any opinions? Prior knowledge quality?
Just looked up who actually /makes/ the units that Sharkoon sell and it seems like most of them were made by FSP (nothing special, nothing wrong with it) and Enermax (quite alright actually).
The QP and WPM series are made by Channel Well, which isn't that great, but then again it's the same OEM that the Corsair CX series use, which everyone thinks are fine so it probably won't be an issue.
The only ones that I'd personally avoid, as I have never even heard of the OEM are the Rush Power M and Rush Power C series, made by a company called 'Enhance'.
The loudness will only have to do with the fan that Sharkoon put on it. In most PSUs, you /could/ swap the fan out if you really want it, but I really don't want to recommend anyone to take a power supply apart.

Feronix got a reaction from LemonSpice in Best cpu at about 100 dollars for gaming
For games that utilize strong cores: Pentium G3258
For games that utilize more cores: Athlon 860k
The 860k has better cores than the FX6300 and most games don't use more than 4 cores anyway so I'd advise to stay away from the FX series on your budget, unless you're going 8320 (but that's a bit too expensive).

Feronix got a reaction from aedward12 in I have a Corsair CS450M PSU. What kind of GPU would it handle?
I've seen a person using an i7 and GTX 780 (think it was a Ti) on an RM450 before. Granted it drew around 430 Watts, but it sure should handle any of the GPUs you just mentioned.
-
Feronix got a reaction from y.abualreesh in NEW GPU upgrade (GTX 780 ti VS GTX 980)
850 Watt will be plenty for either cards in SLI.
Go for the newer GTX 980s I'd say. They're faster, consume less power and create less heat. Just a bit more expensive though, I think as the 780 Ti's are getting a price drop atm.

Feronix got a reaction from Manny Calavera in is Foxconn H61MXE good for overclocking an i5 3470?
No because you cannot overclock on the H61 chipset.
Or on your CPU...
-
Feronix got a reaction from Maverick5500 in picking a 2133 kit of ram (2x8gb)
CL11 is pretty common for 2133MHz RAM tbh.
Eventually most RAM chips come from the same factories, so go with whichever you think looks better, what manu you want to support, or whoever has the best warranty procedures.

Feronix got a reaction from LemonSpice in best airflow optimized case for under 100€?
"Much" better, no... but a little yeah. In all honesty though, the Enthoo Pro already has great watercooling support for a price that is just so much better. But I'm sorry if you just made this thread to hear us say "Just go with the 750D". I know how it is to really like a case, but if it's not practical for your use, then you shouldn't get it tbh.

Feronix got a reaction from Maowhree in Backlit mechanical keyboard with detachable cable
No mate, I own a Corsair K70 black at the moment but I'm very confident that the CM Storm boards are absolutely fine. It's no Ducky, but then again it's half the price of a Ducky
