  1. I know, but I figured he'd potentially stumble across it on his own. Chance may draw us together in this moment just as one may draw the curtains in the evening after a sunny summer day.
  2. Mr. Linus, I have enjoyed your content time and time again, seen almost every video you've ever put out, even. I even turn adblock off for your channel! (If I'm using YouTube mobile, that is.) I have bought your merchandise from your infamous lttstore.com that you have promoted in every video, the 1M subscriber is a really cool design so good job on that. However, Mr. Tech, I cannot ignore this most grievous occurrence that befell me recently from a video that you had, hopefully, had an oversight in. It's natural to make mistakes! I am living proof of that! Mr. Tip, however, I know that you have hired multiple editors and although I have literally 0 experience working as a full-time editor on a team of editors for a large and successful business, I do know that I can act like I do since my real credentials are unknown to the internet. These multiple editors are a safeguard, a bastion against anything that may be against your terms of service or perhaps anger your sponsors (NVIDIA SHILL!). Knowing that your editors have never made a mistake ever, it is certain then that your behavior in your recent video "The MOST AVERAGE Gaming PC" was intended by you. My first evidence: At a certain point in the video, 5:56 to be exact, you highlight "Source SDK Base 2013 Multiplayer" as the fifth most played game on Steam at the time. You then discover that this is actually a collection of mods for different games (mostly GTA5), and you then make the decision to delegate your fifth playtesting to Team Fortress 2. It is right at this moment that you messed up, dog. You see, as an avid TF2 gamer with over 1000 hours that were NOT spent idling on achievement/item servers so don't ask, I take notice when someone mentions Team Fortress 2. As such, I was like, Oh hell yeah, Linus is gonna play some TF2 in one of his videos! I get to laugh at the horrible default config that fresh TF2 installs have (it's REALLY bad). However, as you deliberately or did not deliberately do since I don't have any proof or clues or knowledge of, you did not include any TF2 gameplay, which means that I could not go, "Ah, awesome! Linus is playing TF2" and "Ha, no min_viewmodel and FOV 60!". This is truly a travesty. In order to make my point heard, which I have not specified yet, I am going to do absolutely nothing different. I am going to reverse-psychology-boycott your videos by continuing to watch them, since you did not allow me to go "Ah, awesome! Linus is playing TF2" and "Ha, no min_viewmodel and FOV 60!". Mr. Linus "Tech" Tech Tips Sebastian, I hope that we can come to an agreeance on something and possibly work out a solution to the problem which hasn't actually been specified. Thank you for your time unless you didn't take the time to read this, and I await your response that might possibly happen unless it doesn't. -jman116
  3. https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-VG32VQ1B-Supports-Adaptive-sync-DisplayPort/dp/B088MKF848 I'm looking for a new monitor to do some school work, CAD, light video editing, and competitive gaming on. This seems like it would work well and is a good price. I don't want a 1080p monitor since my current 4k one is real sharp but I know 4k at high framerates is really hard to drive so I'm fine with 1440p.
  4. Hi, I just measured the GPU sag of my build and it is currently 9/16" or 6.5mm! Would correcting this to 0 be a good idea at this point? Or should I alleviate it only a small amount since its so used to the extreme sag? The PCI-E slot is a "reinforced" slot on the X470 Gaming Pro Carbon. Sometimes I have system instability, refusal to boot/exit sleep and it gets stuck most of the times on the "VGA" light on the board.
  5. Not a custom, just buying a full system. Laptops are just so damn expensive for what you get which is where my concerns are.
  6. I am particularly interested in this unit that LTT checked out.
  7. Quadro might be a bit overkill, it is not overly taxing software, it's for Landscape Architecture.
  8. TB is a good idea, actually. However Intel hasn't been very great with their... everything... as of late, and honestly I just don't like how they stagnated innovation for years because they held a virtual monopoly. I would sacrifice the second it takes to plug in the peripherals if it meant having VEGA graphics or more cores or both.
  9. Is it safe for mini PCs like the ones that are in little boxes to be put in your backpack and taken to and from work? Not to be like super rough with the backpack, but just from like static electricity and such. Mini PCs on average are more powerful (not trying to debate) than laptops and are cheaper too, and I can have both mouse and keyboard + monitor for free one set at home and one set at work. Also, what about custom built mini PCs? Would those be safe too? I am curious and just unsure.
  10. Where the phone plugs in on the side of the osmo, can you instead plug a USBC to that port and charge the osmo. It charges the phone through it so I assume that you can.
  11. Can you transfer files or charge out of the side port where the USBC or Lightning port go? I haven't found anything on it.
  12. The build suggested by Shrekpad will perform far better. A tip: Ryzen LOVES fast RAM (Shrekpad chose '3600 speed' while you had chosen '3200 speed') and it makes a significant difference!
  13. Try using a heater to thaw it out (so it stops freezing!) Any BIOS updates?
  14. I have a 3900x with the stock cooler. It runs stable and chews through my workloads (compiling, fusion360 work, gaming) with ease. I recommend you upgrade to this processor either when the 4th gen comes out (discount!) or you look at getting the 4th gen equivalent because it's supposed to be even better due to generational improvements. If you choose to get a 4th gen, use stock monitoring websites because the product will go on sale for about five minutes max at random before selling out.
  15. How is case airflow? I was able to get better temps on my CPU cooler by moving a fan from top to side, in line with the fins on the heatsink. I don't think the high temps are the cause of the crashing because all the temperatures are well within spec. Is this a transferred OS or a fresh install?
  16. You bought a mining GPU, this is a standard outcome, no offense. I have a purchased-new Sapphire Nitro+ OC RX480 that's ran perfect since the day I got it. Sapphire is a reliable brand that I'll stand behind. The whole "old BIOS" also seems sus because newer BIOSes are released for a reason, that reason being improved framerates and stability. I hope that the issue is the BIOS and that you can update it or else you might have to rethink purchasing a used GPU in the current market.
  17. On my first PC I never used sleep, always left it on. it had a hard drive as the boot disk . Just did some research and I have 3600 speed RAM, but I guess the gaming pro carbon x470 doesn't support it. This might explain the weird boots. I will see if that fixes it...
  18. The distinct issue of coming out of sleep mode and being unable to interact with the PC leads me to believe that this is a bigger issue that needs fixing. Thank you for the input, I didn't know you could do that. When you say same here, do you mean your PC does the same thing as mine?
  19. Hi, whenever I turn my PC on from complete power off, the display, keyboard, and mouse take significantly longer to turn on then they should. I get no display / USB power until it shows the MSI logo and the windows 10 loading symbol, so I have trouble getting into the BIOS, and flashing the BIOS is also a challenge. Sometimes, coming out of sleep mode, the fans spin up, the RGB on the MOBO/CPU fan glows, but the monitor stays off and so does the keyboard/mouse. Recently I've encountered errors installing windows updates and they just simply refuse to install. I've done a fresh install of Windows (fixing instability issues), and I've got the latest BIOS. This is a 3900x build with 32gb of RAM and a RX480. Any ideas? Should I RMA the board? CAN I RMA the board? I've had it for about 8 months now.
  20. Hi, this is the second time I've had a BSOD from this error this month. Both occasions I was running a minecraft server whilst also playing on it. System is a 3900x on a x470 Gaming Pro Carbon with 32 gigs of RAM. The error is "Kernel Security Check Faliure" Has anyone had this error or been able to correct it?
  21. Hio all, when I try to open the flash bios option, the PC restarts but the display never turns on. The PC then restarts a few times before staying on but screen doesn't register input. Restarting the PC allows me to go to windows. Also, it seems like my GPU, an RX 480, initializes super late, almost by the time windows is fully up. Therefore I have to spam the delete key for the bios to pull up later... PC drivers are all up to date besides the bios so anyone have any suggestions? I'm running a 3900x.
  22. My issue with it is that it's right on the flash. Knowing that they're soldered on using small beads kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
  23. As the title suggests, the back end of the board is bent upward. I don't know how this happened. My system has been having some BSOD issues recently. One was about a kernel access, one was about driver something or another. So I opened up my PC to see that the M.2 was bent. Should I RMA it?
  24. What brand and model of mouse are you currently using and for how long? If multiple which is the most preferred. Logitech G502. 2-3 years now. Second mouse, first broke after I dropped it on the mouse wheel. For what purpose do you use the mouse? (example: Gaming, Media, Work etc ). Gaming, CAD work, video editing Do you lean towards a lighter mouse or a heavier mouse? Heavier, I have a work desk and often tinker so a heavier mouse is less likely to be knocked off the edge How would you rate the comfort of the mouse from 1-5 where 1 is least comfortable and 5 is most comfortable. 5 During long usage of the mouse, do you experience any pain/soreness in your arms? No Is your stated mouse wired or wireless? (If wired, would you prefer wireless and vice-versa) Wired. Wireless option available at an extreme premium I'm not willing to pay. Does your current usage of mouse require extra buttons? Occasionally. "Sniper mode" allows me to slow the sensitivity way down and is useful when scrubbing through timelines and other things. How important do you think the dpi button is for your usage? Rate from 1-5 where 1 being least important and 5 being very important 5. Its very nice to switch mouse speed based on what application I'm in. Some apps have buttons super close, and then I go back to windows and have to be across the screen instantly. How will you rate the response of the buttons on your mouse from 1-5 where 1 being terrible and 5 being excellent. (Response here means if you press the button, does the mouse responds or not) 5 Do you lean towards a matte finish or a glossy finish on your mouse? If others please specify (example like having a skin). Matte/semi-gloss How do you rate the build quality of the mouse from 1-5 (where 1 being flimsy and 5 being sturdy). 5. Slammed it in anger multiple times. didn't break. Do you think you can get a better mouse for cheap as compared to your current one? (Specify model and brand). No. Would you prefer rgb on the mouse? (yes/no) Is included, not really used. Used to be synced with discord but my hand covers it... Is there a specific problem faced by you when using the mouse? No.
