Get a decent air cooler like a Noctua NH-U14S - performs like 240mm AIOs and is quieter and more reliable

No idea how the prices are in your country, but I would recommend getting a Ryzen 2200g instead. It's more powerful and (at least in the US) cheaper than the Ryzen 1200. It also has integrated graphics which aren't the best, but since you are upgrading later on, you might be able to last until the next Nvidia cards are released.

What about MPlayer? It's included in puppy linux. If this doesn't work, you probably shouldn't use mint.

If editing, you would be better off with Ryzen. The 2700X is solid, and if you have a big budget, the Threadripper 2nd gen should have 32 cores while costing $1500, so keep that in mind.

NoRomanBatmansAllowed reacted to Blasteque in Lan Cable thingy.. For the wall? [Idk, Help me]
Power line adapters work surprisingly well (most of the time).  However, if the concern is security, they really aren't any more or less secure than wifi.  There is leakage back down the power line.  Various studies have shown that the signals can be detect well enough to connect up to several houses away (depending on the system); this is why the signals are encrypted (the unit you linked requires pressing a pairing button to set the security).  There is some security in obscurity: most people interested in hacking your network are just looking for free internet and will be using wifi.

If you do use this type of device, know that most issues occur when people try to use the device on different phases.  Specifically: most homes have two different phases going into their house.  Most electrical breaker panels have two power buses, one on each phase.  If one adapter is in an outlet on one phase, and the other is in an outlet on the other phase, then the signal between the two can be quite weak (is dependent on the bleed through the neutral bus).  So, if your breaker panel is well labelled you can avoid a problem by making sure both adapters are on breakers that are on the same side of the panel (same bus).

Choose the 2700X or 8600k, doesn't significantly matter.

However if you're editing (especially with the adobe suite), the intel i7 will make it a lot nicer for you.

Most of what I hated about the prequels is different than what the OT swarm seems to generally complain about.. but there were also things I really enjoyed especially going back and watching them after the soulless experience of ep7.

In the last WAN show Linus made a comment about people being upset about the tragedy of the Kenobi movie being canceled. He then proceeded to make fun of the prequels in general. Episode 3 is the greatest movie of all time (unironically), and I have completely lost respect for Linus. Can we not talk about episode 8, which they literally broke hyperdrive, or how they changed directors and they scrapped the road map.
