  1. Yeah thats what im thinking about with the VPN hopping that I talked baout but I'm pretty sure once the request is made, its not encrypted to the company who is hosting even though my encryption is on AES256-SHA256 If anyone else here can confirm to me that if using a VPS as a VPN with OpenVPN or SoftEther VPN does encrypt all traffic out of the machine to websites then that would be great
  2. I'm worried about the VPS logging the network traffic How would I set it up right so they don't know which person is using the vpn when the request was made to the website?
  3. So I'm getting interested into making VPN services and I currently have my own one and all that but I'm wondering how companies like ExpressVPN, which have been proven multiple times that they do not log, keep their service from being logged by the datacenter host. Because I can get my VPS to not have any logs on it but my VPS provider can just get all the data that they keep logged. How does express do it? My only understanding of doing it is through hopping where it goes My IP -> VPN 1 -> VPN 2 -> Internet and maybe VPN 1 is an offshore VPS but thats about it. I'm not sure what data would be transfered through VPN 1 other than connection from VPN 1 to VPN 2 to mask the origin IP If anyone can help or recommend me providers who have proven no logging through their network management, let me know
  4. So I have my firewall setup a certain way and this is the 2nd time it has happened but my firewall reset itself. Just wondering if there is something to stop this
  5. Ive had 4 total GPUs including the one I have now, GT 730, GTX 950, GTX 1060 and my current RTX 2070 super, until this GPU i have now, i never knew coil whine existed, I don't think its common to have it but more like luck of the draw to have a chance to not have it once you get to higher performance gpus
  6. Alright per say it isnt a "logging vpn" more in a "logging isp", theres a place I can get residential ips which are then turned into openvpn configs which I use to bypass battlefield and rust servers that block vpns. So I go from my ip to a vpn which i know does not log then to the logging isp which if they needed to find out who did what if anything happened, it would just redirect to the no log vpn and there would be nothing on me
  7. Also Im not sure if this post should be in networking or troubleshooting as it is both so i just put it here, if a mod needs to move it, please do
  8. So I'm trying to double vpn rn with 2 different vpn clients and for some reason the ip i want to display isnt displaying. I want the order to go Mullvad -> OpenVPN/SoftEther My problem is, I connect to mullvad then connect to openvpn/softether and it connects fine but the ip it displays is mullvad instead of openvpn/softether I can do softether first then openvpn but my problem is, my softether vpn is a logging vpn to another logging vpn, I want it to be a no logging to a logging Is there a way to change the order of my network connections so that it will always show the last one i connect to as my ip instead of the first one i connect to
  9. So from my basic understanding, is that when your gpu gets shipped to you, your manufacturer has a preset curve that is applied, when you enable your custom curve and set it to auto, it goes by the manufacturer's curve preset on the gpu, for me for some reason, i think my auto curve is legit just 0 at all times.
  10. God... can't believe everything works when you just ask for help. Happens every time on here. I had to switch my ethernet from public network to private network so it would work properly
  11. So I'm currently trying to setup a VPN only mode for my pc where my home internet connection wont be used unless im on a VPN I tried using this post but it didn't work for me https://zorrovpn.com/articles/windows-firewall-vpn-only?lang=en Windows says my ethernet connection is a public network but I even tried swapping out the allow from public to private and disabling the other but it didnt work as it wouldnt let me connect to my vpn
  12. So right now I have a machine that I delete all logs of anything ip related on the machine, whether that be just connecting to the machine through the vpn or any kind of ssh, does the company that owns it still have access to seeing the ip connected to the machine through their own network manager on their end? or does me deleting any logs on the machine actually help?
  13. Is there any way to have it all encrypted even for them or is that impossible?
  14. I'm using SoftEther VPN with AES-256 encryption
  15. Ok so the info that goes into my vps and out to the internet, is my vps provider able to see any of the unencrypted data from the outside, using KVM. In my original post I said that there is absolutely 0 logs i leave on the vps, and anything that is kept there such as connection logs to the vps or anyone trying to port scan is logged, but like i said, i use a program called wipe to completely delete that info every 1-2 days
  16. So this just came to mind, for the past id say 4 months I've been using my own private vpn, buying a vps from 100up, ovh, and as of right now im using virmach. I go with the cheapo option because I'm like that and it suits my needs for a vpn. I use softether vpn since for some reason, whenever i try openvpn it just flat out doesnt work. I set the encryption to AES-256 but what I'm wondering is, can the company hosting my vps, if they were to look into my network activity, see everything I am doing or is it encrypted to AES-256 on their end? I have logging disabled on my client and server, also using the application "wipe" on ubuntu 16.04 to wipe any connection logs every 1-2 days. I'm not doing anything illegal obviously but if im using their vps as a vpn, why would I choose to give all data to some random company instead of xfinity. TLDR; using AES-256 encryption on softether vpn, with logging disabled, can my vps provider see my network activity, such as websites i visit or things i do, or is it encrypted for them too?
  17. I'm not too big into overclocking my cpu for 2 reasons 1. I still have the stock air cooler 2. It won't effect much tbh I am just chilling at 1.175 volts and 4Ghz, i could obviously push it farther if i had better cooling and a will to do it but I dont. As for load line calibration, I have no idea wtf that is basically but from your description, its how low the voltage drops under load, my voltage idle is 1.175 and under load, the lowest ive seen it go is 1.16 so i dont think thats too bad, its been a good voltage for my purposes
  18. I used mpow flame earbuds for 3 years for highschool and they worked pretty well, they are like $20 on amazon and bluetooth depending on the ones you get
  19. I just tried the page but for some reason one of the two domains is working and i set them up the exact same way Edit: Nvm im stupid, i put khooomn instead of khoomn
  20. So I have an OVH and I'm trying to figure out how to split up the two domains so they have different website features. Currently my websites https://khoomn.xyz and https://purves.xyz are using the same folder but I want to split them up into two different folders. I'm using apache2 to run these sites.
  21. Was wondering how to make an internet kill switch so I never am able to use my home ip. I know nordvpn has a kill switch but its meh for me as I use my own OVH vpn and probably will use some others. So I want to know the general way of making one on my pc so it doesnt affect my parents or anyone else on the internet at my house. Also need one for my phone, I use nord on there but can't find the killswitch for mobile
  22. and people told me my voltage was too low, jfc, I was told 1.175 at 4ghz was too little and unstable and somehow you are stable at 4.2 at 1.1375v
  23. yeah i did that and so far i havent had any problems since then
  24. Ok nvm this entire topic is complete, im just too fucking stupid to plug in a cable fully
