  1. Alright reset my CMOS/BIOS to default and reconnected everything seems to be running fine now.
  2. I have 8 pins added. My cpu has never been overclocked or overvolted as I was waiting till I had a decent cooler. Will do.
  3. Alright the i7 is back in the motherboard *with a cooler* and seems to be running fine. Not going to be forgetting about that I have to have a heatsink on so thanks for that. Correction: Was fine for about 5 minutes then turned off again.
  4. Here is a picture. Also just curious but any reason why my i5 doesn't have issues without a cooler? Just pure luck?
  5. It was not at the time I posted this topic. Before I started experiencing issues it was always on and it is back on currently.
  6. I had thermal paste on it but I've never heard about having to have a heatsink on it. I've just been using a stock cooler and didn't think it would matter if I left it off.
  7. So a couple days ago I got a EVGA 650 G2 power supply and everything seemed fine. Yesterday when I tried to turn my computer on it turned on then shut off right after and I couldn't get it to turn on again. Today I took everything apart and tried booting it outside the case thinking maybe a wire was in the way. Needless to say it still did not boot so I went about switching out the psu to a XFX 550W. After switching the psu nothing booted again so I started replacing the other parts. I put my old i5-4590 to replace my i7-4790k and booted with only 1 stick of ram and nothing happened. I decided to try to boot off my old Asrock motherboard (which I retired due to it having a couple ports die but it still worked) with my i7-4790k and 1 stick of ram. Everything booted so I went about putting my hardware on the Asrock board to see if it would run. It fully started up but after a minute of me logging into windows the computer shut off. I went back to only having the i7 and stick of ram and it couldn't power on again. I took my i7 out and thought it seemed really hot so when I tested it measured to be 93 degrees fahrenheit. Now I did not have a cooler on the cpu, however with my room being a comfortable 64 degrees I don't think it should have gone up that much. current pc: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Cpmaker/saved/4nQTwP
  8. My headset is a combined audio/mic plug however my computer does not have a port for it so I use the splitter the headset came with to make it 1 audio and 1 mic plug.
  9. Well I updated drivers and it' still having issues however, as long as I don't plug the headset fully in I don't hear the static. Not necessarily the best fix but it will do for now. Later I will try going back to my old power supply to see if it fixes anything. If not then I'm going to try and RMA. Thanks for helping.
  10. Well the front audio ports no longer recognize that my headset is plugged in. The back still sees it though.
  11. Everything has been unplugged and plugged back in with no fix to the issue.
  12. Just unplugged it and I'm still getting the static.
  13. I didn't rearrange anything but the cables and nothing is near the front or back audio ports.
  14. So I recently switched out my power supply to a EVGA Supernova G2 650 watt. During the switch I accidentally bent one of the usb 3.0 pins and due to the way it bent I can't get it back up. I can still use my front usb ports and my headphone/mic jacks however now I get a very strong static sound in my headset. I am unsure if the bent pin is whats causing the static or the power supply as I didn't have this issue with my old one. I get more static whenever I click with my mouse so I'm unsure on what to think about that. I have also tried using the back audio ports on my motherboard and I get the same issue. My headset is a HyperX Cloud Stinger headset. The static comes out of the right side but I know the headset was not damaged because I can plug it into other devices and it sounds normal. Any help would be appreciated as I'm stuck and answers I've found involve buying a audio card which I would rather not do.
  15. Depending on the game I have the wiki page open and different tabs on where to get items or I have a youtube video playing in the background that I listen to.
  16. Alright I have to admit I did not think about the human species when I wrote this. If a computer was able to have the qualities of a human without being part of the species would you acknowledge it as human to the point that it has rights and should be treated like the species of humans?
  17. Alright I can see how you got that. I do have a different question for you however. What would you say makes a human, human?
  18. Even if the computer had free thought and had feelings of its own? If I can perfectly emulate GBA games on my pc then yes I would by extension say my pc is a GBA.
  19. But hypothetically if we could make a computer that would perfectly emulate a human would it then be human?
  20. I was wondering on what you guys thought about AI becoming human. If the AI reached a level where it could have feelings would it then be human? If you classify humans by their soul then what makes up a soul and would it be possible for an AI to get one? Just curious on what people think about an AI becoming human and whether they think it's possible or not.
  21. So I got a letter from the Congress of Future Science and Technology Leaders inviting me to a meeting in Boston Massachusetts. After looking around it seems that most people think that it's a waste of time and essentially a scam as they don't pay for any housing or transportation and you need to pay a $1300 fee to enter the meeting. I was just curious if anyone else here has heard of it and if you have did you enjoy it? What was the meeting about as I can't find much out about it? Thanks for any responses.
  22. Meanwhile I'm sitting over here with 4 up and 1 down for $80...
  23. I actually bought that headset and I really enjoyed it. It was better than some of the others I've had however the cord snapped a couple of days ago after a year of use. Just ordered myself a HyperX Cloud Stinger headset so I hope I like it as well.
  24. I got a solid 50 fps with an i5 4590 and gtx 970 and a solid 60 fps with i7 4790k and gtx 1070 with a 1080p monitor. What resolution are you trying to play it at?
