Izomo got a reaction from HiiraTeruyo in What separates Linus' ad placements from others
I've been watching linus tech tips for alittle over a year now. And one thing I've noticed is that they handle their ad placements WAY differently then other youtubers. For example audible with linus vs with amazingatheist:

You can immediately tell that the ad placement in the amazingatheists video is an ad, cut, dry, and a simple ad placement. But with linus' ad placement you can tell that he actually is using it, having fun with the ad placement, and is more engaging and personal.

Another explain is with Squarespace with linus vs with The Young Turks.

    With The Young Turks it's
Dry Impersonal Uninformative Painful to watch With Linus
Fun Engaging/personal Informative  Actually enjoyable to watch Some people are going to say "who cares they are just ad placements, stop trying to suck up to linus", and they may be right. But when you watch 10+ videos with ad placements that are all boring and dry then it's awesome to see someone that has fun with it and makes it a better watching experience.

All in all this is just a post to say thank you to linus and his team for making ad placements a good experience and actually things that I want to use, if I had the money.

Also this is not an attack on the young turks or amazingatheist, they just provide good examples.

Well you can add Nvidia cards to AMD machines simply for doing PhysX (which is le correct spelling) or your CPU can but it's SLOW SLOW SLOW SLOW sadly Nvidia is soon disabling the ability todo this... And AMDs doing their damndest to make FreeSync and Mantle things even for Nvidia... They allow Crossfire support on any board while Nvidia charges mobo manufacterers money to get sli certified and doesn't allow you to use SLI with out a certified board... Nvidia is a dick of a company they're doing their damndest so people over there can't use PhysX and Gsync cards in systems using AMD cards... If you want exclusives goto Nvidia; AMD is giving their stuff away it's just Nvidia isn't accepting most of it....

Thank you for writing this up. I keep hearing people say "well just buy a clip on mic" without really explaining. So thank you.

Whilst its true both cards posses 2gb of vram onboard, it doesnt necessarily equae to 4gb usable. Both cards store the same information.....so you only get 2gb of actual usable vram. but for 1080p gaming 7850 crossfire would be great. Hell even one 7850 would give you amazing performance.

I'm thinking of doing 7850 2g x2 on crossfire (upgrading to two after a few months). Which would leave me with enough vram and hopefully beable to play BF4 on good settings. Later on I could upgrade to 7990 after the price comes down also.

Izomo got a reaction from JupiteL in New to building a gaming computer
I haven't built a PC before, usually just bought a pre-made PC in the store. So now I want to actually get into building my own gaming PC and become competent enough to maintain it then upgrade it later.

This is the PC that I was going to buy pre-made but I'd like to build it myself if I can keep it around the same price point.

Looking to play BF 3 / borderlands 2 / GTA 5 on high settings. Keeping price point around $1000.

    Thanks for the help.

Optimized for gaming. The specs you listed weren't exactly gaming optimized. This is usually the case for pre-made PC's

There is but not for gaming, its totally pointless. More ram would be used for things like video editing or rendering.
