  1. I think the pedestal and standard people are expecting from an independent news outlet built from scratch is quite high here and the clear joy in their failure is also quite transparent from many. Everyone is talking like they know, and speaking like they are paragons. GN could have had more professional courtesy, and journalist should probably want as much context as possible, as without context, the narrative can be directed/influenced or manipulated to something more sensational easier. It may have suited GN to have less context for this particular video as they may have felt slighted for some LTT employee faux pas, and they may enjoy the additional viewership of this "drama" (intentional or not) just like the classic iDubbz content police videos did. But who knows, I believe GN feel and is convinced that they have done the "right" thing and have integrity. That's different to doing the right thing and having integrity though. LS has stepped down as CEO, maybe due to feeling overwhelmed after identifying these workflow issues and wanting to stay focused on the vision of the companies progression, and may have sought to bring in expertise he feels would rectify these issues. Or maybe all of this is wrong. The truth is probably some greyer area in the middle and I think that most people commenting are acting gross. I would just like to see well-produced tech-themed videos and it would be nice if this is done accurately and ethically with some good personality presenting it, I will have some patience and absorb the facts as they are presented. I think that both media outlets may have made some mistakes here, and that's OK, I like being able to google review for "insert tech product here" and having a variety of sources to choose from and agree with. As a metaphor to help some people understand this viewpoint; most people commenting here probably eat meat and don't care about the animal welfare standards, or wear clothes made in sweat-shops, so just chill out and think about your own hypocrisy and position before you attack others. If LTT where made "Bankrupt" or "cancelled" what about the nearly 100 people who work for him, are they ALL "guilty" and "evil" too? What about the 25+ less videos being made on random products that I can only find on the verges "top 10" lists else-wise? I dunno, it's nice to be nice, and a lot of you aren't.
  2. So an update to this, is that if i use the Zotac Firestorm software an run an overclock scan, it reports that the suggested over clock is 0 and many graphical glitches start to happen. I opened a few chrome tabs to research and the PC became unresponsive entirely needing a hard rest. I feel that this is more indicative of a faulty card, but i have never experienced this before? Have I just lost the silicon lottery? It’s doesn’t really explain why I am having further issues, I am having audio devices (my monitors) get re-enabled, I normally disable them as i have a Z906 hooked up to audio. But it’s like my PC is forgetting they exist and re adding them to my list and then also ignoring my default audio preference, i never normally have to switch it. I am also getting crackly audio intermittent until i switch to my normal audio. Could this be related to the new GPU? It has only started once I plugged it in… Also, further scrolling and researching, suggest that power should not be the issue, as the card can also draw 75W from the PCIE slot in addition to the 300w supplied from the PCIE cables. I would like to avoid RMA’ing the card if it is a user error thing. But I’m not sure what else to try now… edit: ran auto OC and got a +73mhz boost suggestion, be working since this post fine, but imagine next time i boot up issue will return...
  3. I have replced my GTX 1080 with an RTX 4070ti yesterday and will get regular crashes on the first few times I launch games. All error codes refer to either DirectX crashing or Video Card issue. If I persist, the crashes go away and I can game for hours, I have done some short stress tests on furmark and CPU-z running at the same time and it will be fine, unless I run it from cold then it will just close furmark after a few seconds. I have attached a sensor log so you can the infor of when it crashes, it is the spike in power of launching furmark and then a crash. I have a theory as to what is happening, but I want to see if anyone comes up with the same as me. I do not think it is power related but for full info: The GTX 1080ti was an Gigabyte Aourus 250w TDP The RTX 4070ti is a Zotac Trinity 285w TDP My PSU is a Seasonic Focus 850w My CPU is a Ryzen 5900x I'm believe I am with in the PSU's capabilty. I am however using 2 8-pin PCIE power connectors with dual 8&6+2 ends to connect to the 3 8pin to 12pin adapter the GPU comes with. (one of the 6+2 ends are just dangling) My research and understanding is 8 pin cables can supply 150w each so even though a 12 pin is rated for 600w and if i'd used 3 8 pins i could adapt that to 450w, I am theroetically maxing out at supplying my GPU 300w and any more would be a fire hazard. The GPU for clarifcation is 285 I have ran GPU-z and monitor my graphs it does not appear to go above about 291w. I have reinstalled Drivers, but not went to the extent of DDU - i am going from nvidia to nvidia, so wouldn't have though it would be an issue. Ithe solution is either buying a 3 pin to 12 pin cable for my PSUfix this or that i have a dud card that when it has thermal headroom is crashing it self my being too ambitious with it's overclock, or it's a mix of these issues. I don't have anyone tech savvy to sanity check me, does this sound reasonable, is there anyting else i should think of? What would your next steps be? What do you think it could be? 4. I just started a render in 3DSMax to stress it and this is what I got. What would be the reason that the task manager reports different/wrong speeds might I ask? Seems to be no correlation to what CPU-Z says
  5. Will run a stress test after finishing some chkdsks and let you know, thanks
  6. I've been having some crashes lately on my system that I'm trying to figure out, I've noticed that my CPU is Turbo-ing higher than it used to, I've seen it reach 4.3Ghz and wondered if that could be the issue as it isn't a K series chip. I'm not 100% certain this is the case as the crashing also seems to stop when I unplug my storage drives, any ideas on how to troubleshoot?
  7. Hey, I took a break from trying to fix this system, though maybe time to reflect could be what I needed. I'm ready to hurt again, can anyone give me ideas on what to try next @TakataruMC Disabling chipset SATA didn't fix it either and PSU is rated for 750W, tested it on another system i7 3770 with gtx 1070 and is all good on that too, so it should handle an i5 easy as pie.
  8. I've performed another MEMtest I've reflashed the bios with the latest version again after replacing the CMOS battery just in case I've reset the BIOS via the Jumpers I set the date on the BIOS to see if it is holding memory and it is WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT!!!! Still just starts to boot windows then resets
  9. It's been a few days and I still can't figure this out, anyone have any ideas, please?
  10. The twirling circles underneath the windows icon, It POSTs fines.
  11. It was initially but has since been freshly installed on the same computer system now, the install process runs fine with no shutdowns or reboots, it's just once it has finished it won't finish booting. Thank you
  12. UPDATE: I have replaced the CMOS battery {In the correct +/- position} and it threw up an error saying that there was a CMOS battery failure, I'd like to think that's because it was a new battery, although I have taken the old one in and out before and nothing notable happened in POST. Anyway, it's still doing the same reboot on windows start-up screen. I'm really stuck with what else I could try. PLEASE HELP
  13. So I ran MemTest a few times just to be sure and everything came out good, this was after reinstalling windows on the system. It's still rebooting though, so neither of the solutions have fixed the problem. Could it be possibly a dead CMOS battery? would that stop windows from being able to boot?
