How so? With "mud black" you can make it work with plain black cases. The default Noctua scheme looks jarringly out of place in a build, even if you are using a legacy off-white PC case.

Dark_Fuzzy reacted to patrickjp93 in ISP Lobbying group claims competition is bad for customers
Oh my God how many of you knuckleheads' skulls do I have to crack?!

Intel has plenty of competition from Sparc, PowerPC, and ARM. Every innovation Intel makes to better compete in servers gets applied to consumer parts first as a testing/validation ground. MMX, SSE, and AVX and their successors have all come into existence because of that competition, not because of AMD being competitive in the consumer space.

"those instructions aren't used in games so I don't care blah blah blah..." Guess what? The single-data instructions used in games today have already been optimized to their theoretical lowest clock cycle counts for the most part. These are the SISD instructions. Consumer level programmers don't make much use out of vector instructions which can multiply your performance in numerous tasks by 2, 4, and currently up to 8x with 16x on the horizon with AVX512. Intel cannot be blamed for the software market not keeping up.

"So why are they still selling mainstream quad-cores with K SKUs?"
Because those same 3rd rate programmers and developers suck at making multithreaded code and never learned OpenMP which makes parallel programming a walk in the park even for the brain-dead. Programs at the consumer level don't scale much beyond 2 cores, and the vast majority don't scale beyond 4. Thus, Intel fills that demand with matching hardware. For enthusiasts and professionals, Intel makes enthusiast and professional-appropriate core counts available. That said, that's a niche market, so the prices are higher because it is both low demand and low supply with more affluent buyers.

Anyone who blames Intel for the slowdown in PC doesn't understand the hardware, the software, nor the real fundamental problems in the industry.

I feel like channel superfun is going a bit aground, but I dont know about you guys. No offense, but it seems like theyre starting to run out ideas, and the videos are starting to change from, the old super funny videos I would play again and again, to videos that are there that just kill time, and they're much much less funny. Some videos, i watch like 3 minutes of it, and i dont feel the need to finish the video, unlike the old videos.
And Im the type of person who finds everything funny.

    What do you guys think?

I think making a topic allowing community input would help with more ideas and better content. Just a bit of constructive critisim, not just bashing

It will not. Look at the Cryorig H7. About the same price as the 212 Evo, but it's 145mm tall and will fit (you have 150mm clearance), it's quieter, and it performs a little better.

Dark_Fuzzy reacted to shermantanker in DICE: Battlefield 1's launch-day performance 'a focus'
I read in an interview that they will keep the game at the same pace and feel that we are used to with battlefield games. As far as progression and replay value, we have one trailer, and that's it. You can't really say it won't have any. I mean game that lets you play in tanks, battleships, planes, and zeppelins has some depth to it. Dice has always put gameplay first and historical accuracy second, and this game won't be any different from what is said in the QA I linked on the first post.

Do you have any idea the madness you've just unleashed?!?!! Just when we started to stop the flood of GTX10xx topics there will now be waves upon waves of Vega topics until we all descend into madness. Women will roam the streets naked, children will feast upon each other, men will burst into flames at random, there will be no end to the chaos I tell you!

    fucking retarded
emoij is already fucked (with the new skin colors n shit)
i hate this, just leave one smiley icon or something, you don't need 69 trillion diffrent emoijs for every thing you do in your life and for your skin color and gender

not a sexist, but i just don't see why we would add even more emoijs when we don't need them.
my solution: remove all emoijs and make them neutral so they don't represent a gender or skin color and only have the smileys.

    i blame this btw:

perfect examples of emoijs we don't need (doesn't matter which gender, these emoijs are useless)

Dark_Fuzzy reacted to Benji_w in Explain Watercooling as Noobily as possible.
Ah sorry do forgive me, you see I went from air cooling an overclocked FX 8350 at 4.8ghz which sounded like a turbine test rig to a silent watercooled rig at 5ghz, my i5 is also delidded, bare die 4.7ghz with a 970 overclocked to 1600mhz+ on the core and 8000mhz vram, as I'm sure you're aware, overclocking means more voltage which in turn creates more heat.

Removing the heat from my components is key to keeping them alive but because I value my sanity and my hearing, I've decided to believe science over the delusions of ignorance and go with watercooling. When my PC is underload aka gaming or stress testing then my EVGA 750w G2 which remains in ECO mode so the fan is not spinning.... starts to spin it is the only thing I can hear coming from my rig. Everything else, is silent. Also my temps are amazing even with 1.5v on the i5 I don't even thermal throttle, so when I have it at a tame voltage I barely exceed 60c and my GPU never hits 55c, the idle temps, even better so much so that the entire rig is silent.
