if there is a guide OP should post it instead of posting links to mega, this whole thing looks fishy IMO.

That was constructive feedback. Its like you wouldn't even pass if this was a school / university presentation.

If you really want to convince people, you need to try at least 3000x harder.

From the clickbait title to the required information being posted on page 3, you get an abysmal F for fail for presentation.

That is as constructive as constructive feedback can get.

I'm sorry, I just can't believe any of what you're saying, and you'll definitely be sorry for disabling IPv6 features when we finally move to IPv6. Among other things.

I think they're just using it as an excuse to get something created, that they want created, so they can abuse it in the future.

They see an opportunity where they can get the moronic public to agree with them, and shoot themselves (the public) in the foot. Because "it's for your safety!" etc etc.

The 5960X is the most powerful and expensive consumer CPU that Intel makes. It is not going to have problems with a well known GPU.

Why don't you use a heat exchanger like this and bolt a big heat sink onto it?

The tubing is fully copper and the added heat resistance is very low. If you like I can help you selecting a heat sink. I estimate the cost for the heat exchanger and the heat sink to be ~200$. It will have less points of failure than the coated aluminium radiator and probably be even cheaper.

As for the temperatures, I consider everything <90°C a success as this a very experimental stuff with a lot of variables.

Playable? No, it gets playable framerates in every game. The only games you can see it lag behind (but not at all unplayable) is in GTA V, ARMA, and Civilizations V.

The machine we're building will be a high-end editing rig as I'll be doing some design work myself as well as some High-res and 3D rendering.
Part for Part, a PC seems much cheaper (and I can maintain it myself much more easily) than an Apple product.

It's sad because people will actually fall for this.

We pay 120 dollars a month for cable, phone and 26down/2.5up internet with a 350GB cap every month (Which is NEVER enough for our needs). I wish someone would sue ISPs to get rid of the data caps or drastically lower the prices, it's pretty much a monopoly here in the middle of nowhere.

I love how one of their defenses is OH BUT IF YOU GO TO GOOGLE FIBRE, YOU WONT GET TO USE OUR FANCY COOL AWESOME X1 REMOTE! That is a very important feature of Comcast service and obviously the first thing people think about when they have the choice between Comcast and someone else.  I mean, from their perspective, not being able to use a voice activated x1 controller is obviously a huge dealbreaker.  Not the internet or cable service, the remote.

Its funny because back in the day, PC gamers wanted better graphics and more eyecandy and effects. Now PC gamers are complaining it reduces their performance too much. Isn't the entire point of PC gaming to have options? Turn stuff on and off depending on what you prefer?

I know plenty of people use gameworks and enjoy it
Then theres the people who complain about fps because they dont seem to understand what "optional" means
Then there's the AMD fanboys who go around making videos complaining about stuff they dont even want to use in the first place

Seriously, what's wrong with PC gamers, its as if there always needs to be something to complain about whether it matters or not

    Dark_Fuzzy got a reaction from Krechan1 in i5 6500 vs fx 6300 for streaming
WoT on an fx6300 will run at about an average of 40fps(Atleast for me) with a gtx 970.
i56600k ran it at about 120 average with the same gpu.
My 4690k runs it at about 70 to 80 with a gtx960,all on max settings.
So atleast from my experience go with the i5.No sense getting the fx because of two more cores for streaming when it cant even
reliably run the game in the first place.

Edit: The 6600k was overclocked slightly

Jesus Oculus tells you to compare on Passmark, a multi threaded benchmark where 5960X gets twice the score of 4590 they recommend but will probably tie it in games at best.

    8320
    8150
    8370

    9590

Okay that's what I wanted to prove because they think these forums I participate on is solely for tech news. My father even thinks I am behind yet I know the same shit he does. Oh and you don't mind that he thinks for cooling, if it makes a 1% difference he jumps on it. Me, I think it's not worth it at all since the difference isn't enough to warrant that move.

If Windows 10 is Skynet 1.0 or not is academic, the point is for gamers, do we stick to Windows 7 or 8.1 for the rest of time? that means missing out on DX12, and to be frank Windows 7 and 8.1 had telemetry. (source: https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/3g7hr0/removing_telemetry_from_windows_7_and_8x/ )

It's a part of OS's these days, we either accept it and treat our computers and the online world as an extension of that bar down your road, or we give up basically, and we all install TalisOS and give up on gaming on AAA titles.

Dark_Fuzzy reacted to Tieox in Windows 10 sends your PC data 5500 times to Microsoft and Non-Private IPs
This is my point, we have been under this  for years already, sure we can use Linux and Wine, but let us not kid ourselves are those of us with gaming rigs going to be happy on Linux coping with Open Source Drivers, waiting for support on Wine for a new AAA title?

The question most commonly skipped in these debates before they go onto a quote war over niggles, is what do we currently do about this? as Windows users who want Windows to game on? yes can make accounts with false information but they collect data anyway, even Google collects from your Gmail and targets adverts ( Source : http://royal.pingdom.com/2010/01/08/how-google-collects-data-about-you-and-the-internet/ ) It's a part of the internet now, and I personally believe the only way for us to move on is to accept that we are no longer ninja stealth operators on the internet, but members of a more open network, and treat the internet as again like you was sat in a social situation.

Dark_Fuzzy reacted to patrickjp93 in Intel: Chips To Become Slower But More Energy Efficient
Our current processors aren't even remotely being pushed to their limits in consumer and prosumer workloads. A 4790K at full tilt on all 4 cores is capable of (4 cores * 256bits wide/32 bits of precision * 2 operations per cycle * 4.2*10^9 cycles per second = ) 268.8 Gigaflops or Gigainops for integer work. Do you operate under the delusion that most software we run actually pushes this chip? Most bottlenecks we see in software today come from bad coding and forced legacy support over allowing newer instructions to do the same work faster. We are far from screwed. The innovation will continue, and performance will increase even if clock speeds don't. Kaby Lake and Cannonlake will also double consumer compute power once again with AVX 512. It's up to software makers to program well enough to take advantage of SIMD instructions like AVX, period.
