  1. I'd say the overclocking one is pushing it a bit. A thousand dollar gaming pc should be able to overlcock, gpu overclocking should be possible even on a $500 build. Mine totals out to about $800 with an overclocked cpu and gpu so specify a bit more on that one. And i would take a good cooler over an ssd any day,a quiet pc compared to alittle faster load times is a pretty easy choice for me. Especially when you have coolers like the cryorig h7 and 212 evo for $30.
  2. A tech forum probably wasn't the best place to get answers but I'll second(or 3rd) the mosin. Just get one of the shorter ones.
  3. I would go with the vive unless you want to step up to 1440p or 4k.
  4. There's already ways to do that. It's annoying to get set up and i haven't seen anyone use it with major games but its possible.
  5. I would say probably a virus if the cpu is at 60% with nothing open.
  6. Me and my brother swap games like that all the time. Just back the game up in steam then move the files to the other computer and use the restore option in steam.
  7. Tried updating the bios? If you have access to other hardware just start swapping things out until it works. I'd try ram and mobo first.
  8. Running with a stock cooler it could be a heat issue. Have you put the gpu in the top slot? Im just throwing things out there at this point.
  9. Well i cant really think of any specific issue it could be. First thing try reinstalling drivers,if that doesn't work maybe a complete reinstall. Other than that I'm not sure really.Does it stutter in anything or just in games?
  10. They were in stock everywhere when i ordered mine. Glad i ordered it when i did.
  11. 60% overall or 60% on a single core, massive difference. Also planetside 2 and warframe run horribly on fx cpus. So i wouldn't be suprised if it was a cpu bottleneck.
  12. Also if i had to guess I'd say some idiot from ibuypower didn't mount the cooler right but i don't know what kind of temps those cpus normaly run at.
  13. I don't think ram would get hot enough to make a dent in cpu temps. That being said this is one of those times that makes me hate prebuilts. The reason you have 8 ram slots is because your mobo has quad channel ram. It should be filling up all of those slots to get the best performance.
  14. You might want to take a look at some of cryorigs stuff aswell.
  15. You could get a pok3r https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=1420
  16. I'll go ahead and say get a better psu. As far as the problem goes i'm not sure really, could be the psu.
  17. I'd say so, a good mechanical keyboard is well worth the cost and will last a lifetime. A good gaming mouse gives you things like macros and nice aesthetics. For headsets most people will say get a good pair of headphones and a desk mic but there are good headsets out there.
  18. You can do it through one instance. I'm not exactly sure how it works but i know its possible. I know on our server we had a special server group for the bot that fixed alot of issues. Though if you cant make a group it might be a bit harder but a friend of mine uses that plugin to do things like play music all the time i'm just not sure how he does it.
  19. If I'm reading this correctly i would suggest Teamspeak. There's plugins for it to set up stuff like that,we used to have a music bot in ours. It's pretty nice when set up correctly.
  20. I've found nothing i cant run with my 960 at 60fps so far with my 4690k. At max settings for most things(I say most because i haven't tried many AAA titles on it yet).
  21. I5 all the way. I would even recommend an i3 over any fx processor unless you aren't going to game at all.
  22. That cable is probably the worst thing Thermaltake makes, and thats saying alot. It's the cable that comes with their wall mount case(Cant remember the name) and pretty much everyone with that case i've seen has had to replace the cable. It's also really cheaply made, the cable isn't even black it's gray with black tape on it.
