  1. If you intend to upgrade your cpu at some point in the next several months then go with the best you can afford. If not then 380x/390(or a used 970 from one of the many people upgrading before the new card is even out) is about the highest you can really go before you start wasting money. That said in some games it will even bottleneck even lower end cards.
  2. So many people asking about the new cards...that aren't even out yet...
  3. Yea i forgot about the no io shield thing. Mine was listed with one but they didn't include it,i didn't bother trying to get it and 2 cases later i still don't have one. Doesn't really affect anything.
  4. I picked one up used on amazon a while back and its been working well so far. Just make sure you go with somewhere that has a good return policy.
  5. Best option would probably be going to Ikea and picking up a countertop and some legs. You will have to drill any holes yourself but its pretty easy and makes for a great desk.
  6. Exactly, if the price difference is $50 or $60 it can be used on other components in the system with no real performance loss. But if there isn't really a price difference go Skylake. I know when i built mine back in January i got a 4690k for $180 used compared to $230 new or $260(i think) in some places for Skylake. Plus the board and ram were much cheaper(already had ddr3) So i was able to get a 4690k,z97 mobo, and a Cryorig h7 for $350 compared to close to $400 if i went with skylake.
  7. If you have some decent ddr3 laying around just get a 4790k or even a 4690k. Not enough of a performance difference to pay more for skylake.
  8. Yep,every time i see that image its all ways been from you. Pretty fitting most of the time.
  9. At $200 with a tb of vram. Downside is it runs so hot it comes in another case and runs to the board with a cable.
  10. "I will present you with the blood of a virgin if you give me a real answer." "ok" *Cuts self*
  11. It's even worse if they actually try to fix it. I have a laptop that someone took in to have the screen replaced and they put it back together wrong and fried it. Sadly they didn't take it back and just bought a new laptop(some people...).
  12. Something like this cut and put into the bay covers would work, had it in a few cases and it's really easy to clean. Also in bulk(if you like ordering from frozencpu,I've never used them myself.)
  13. You don't mean something like this do you?
  14. Here's two,http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2015-intel-core-i3-6100-review http://www.techspot.com/review/1087-best-value-desktop-cpu/page4.html Admittedly for video editing the i3 is a bit behind an fx. That said,he is looking at a 5820k and not an i3. For things that can actually use all of the cores the fx wins most of the time, anything needing single core performance the i3 wins. So i admit my post was a bit out of line,it was meant more as a joke than me actually recommending he get an i3.
  15. 2 intel cores are better than 8 AMD cores. That said yes go for the 5820k.
  16. Is it just me or does this look like the perfect case for some noctuas?
  17. For the people who already have these psus, would something like a battery backup stop this from being a problem?
  18. Mine does it too,and has on all the mobos i've use it on. Luckily mine hasn't caused any problems. Think i'll be getting cable extensions soon.
  19. For pretty much anything an i3. The fx line is nowhere as good as it used to be,and an i3 would be about the same price with alot better performance.
  20. I know my brothers gigabyte mobo runs the fans at max for a few seconds on startup. Don't think there's really a way to change it.
  21. For 150 you can get quite a bit with mx switches. Corsair k65/k70 Cm storm quickfire rapid or rapid-i Logitech g710/710+ Pok3r (several of them) Alot from Ducky Pretty sure the G.skill Km780 is about that price And lastly something from max keyboards Plenty more outside of that but those were the ones i can think of now. All with Cherry mx switches.
  22. The reason you see very small cpu coolers and gpus is because not every case can fit full size ones. That said yours is the only tiny case I've seen that doesn't look like a media center.
  23. Probably just a wire going to the wrong place or a bad connection. Also i don't think there's anything in a pickup that would be hurt by heat, mostly a magnet and copper wire.
