  1. A few days ago, my SanDisk Ultra II SSD died, I sent it to a friend to take a look at it and he said that it was definitely controller failure and there was nothing that he could do. I called SanDisk and they are happy to replace it as it is under warranty, but I'd like to get the data recovered (I guess its my turn to learn why you should always have backups) The data recovery place that I called quoted me something in the thousands, which is entirely out of the question as I'm a college student and can't shell out that kind of money. Does anyone know of a recovery service or any other option I could take that wouldn't require me to shell out $1000+? Thanks a ton for any info
  2. It seems like a good product if it really does perform as well as it seems to in the video, It would be invaluable to any compact media setup
  3. Hey guys, pretty basic question here. When buying a graphics card, why should I buy one from MSI or EVGA or whatever (as seen here) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127889&cm_re=geforce_gtx_980_ti-_-14-127-889-_-Product&RandomID=6835573147147420151225175815 Instead of just buying the same card from the source? (as seen here) http://www.geforce.com/hardware/geforce-gtx-980-ti/buy-gpu Sorry if this is a nooby question, but besides the more advanced cooling, I can't see a reason to not simply buy from Nvidia. Thanks!
  4. Thanks a ton! I didn't realize there was an entire video on this! On that note, are there any better, consumer grade CPUs out there with similar prices? Or is the i7-4790k the way to go right now?
  5. What processor would be better for gaming? I'm looking to do a new build pretty soon and have been looking for a good processor that will last me a while. Over on http://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare.php?cmp[]=1219&cmp[]=2275 it says that the Xeon E5-2660 is benchmarked higher and is also cheaper. However, on http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Xeon-E5-2660-vs-Intel-Core-i7-4790K it seems to be the opposite. I realize that the i7-4790k is the common buy right now, but I'm looking for the best processor at that price range. Thanks!
