Yeah this been out for a while... this was main reason I decided to go with corsair RmX and not evga g2 few mobths ago when I built my pc... But anyways evga fan base is huge here and many will recomend it...

While 450 W is enough you could consider 550W, but yeah with quality hardware I wpuld suggest spening like 20-30 bucks more on better psu like rmx series

How posible this is to go with higer res monitor and card like gtx 960 I am not heavy gamer, just wondering if any issues arise from going for something over fhd but not top end gpu...

Have you tried checking power options or may be have boosting program... There is a way to push pc work on performance mode...

In your case I would suggest getting more cash and moving to new set up... I m not sure about that psu age and if it supports new sleep modes for intel cpus, but case can be reused... There are few ways to save cash and 1 option is to go haswell and you can save on ram... but with 250$ you can get i5 and motherboard and stick old ram in and if psu can be used for haswell it awesome... Otherway you could go for skylake or wait out new kabylake or zen... As a gamer get 4 core good cpu... Latter you can get yourself gpu... moddrn cpus have pretty good inbuilt gpus... Anyways latter I would suggest buying 250gb ssd and psu might be a good investment After that gpu and ram to 16gbs

1155 should work on 1151 well atleast sems to be case for all I ve seen. So go check manufacturers website product should have updated info... Ddr3 wont work for skylake only ddr4 works...
