  1. Okay fine, I got that much from googling, but is there a real performance difference vs regular ddr4 and/or compatibility issues with ryzen? Basically is it more worth spending about $30-40 more for some g.skill or corsair ram instead?
  2. Hey peeps! When looking for some ram to complete my new computer builds with all the prices going way above what used to be normal I actually came across a set of 16gb sdram that were about 25% cheaper than the standard Corsair Vengeance LPX and such. This got me thinking: Is there a compatibility issue/real performance loss when buying sdram vs regular dram? For context I'm using Ryzen 5 1600 for my new build and the said memory is Hyper X Predator Black 3000MHz.
  3. Hey guys, this is not Austin! So I've been looking into new and fresh parts to buy to finally say good bye to my fx 6300 and radeon 270x. And while looking I came across something interesting. Basically, I found two versions of the Asus ROG STRIX 1070 ti: https://new.webhallen.com/se/product/277340-ASUS-ROG-STRIX-GeForce-GTX-1070-Ti-8GB-ROG-STRIX-GTX1070TI-A8G-GAMING-AC-Origins https://new.webhallen.com/se/product/277341-ASUS-ROG-STRIX-GeForce-GTX-1070-Ti-8GB-ROG-STRIX-GTX1070TI-8G-GAMING-AC-Origins The "Advanced" version is about $20 cheaper. Looking at the specs there doesn't seem to be much of a difference. So is there any real difference/reason to buy the regular one?
  4. Now I might be mentally challenged or blind, but I cannot find whether or not the memory I've listed are B-die or not.
  5. Would you say it's worth adding another $30 for 3k MHz ram instead of 2.4k?
  6. Hey guys! The title pretty much says it all. Is it worth getting Flare X vs say Corsair Vengeance? Currently the Flare X 2400MHz go for about $169 in Sweden, while the Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 3000MHz go for about $199. They both run on CL15. Then there's the Flare X 3200MHz for $279 with latency 14. My current build so far (mostly for context): DISCLAIMER: All of the prices are very ish, as I don't feel like converting it completely to USD Case: NZXT H440W New Edition Silent Ultra - Black/Blue ($120) CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 GPU: ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 8GB (ROG-STRIX-GTX1070TI-A8G-GAMING) ($540) MOBO: ASUS ROG STRIX B350-F ($320 combined price with the CPU) PSU: EVGA 750W Gold Modular ($99) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 64MB/7200RPM ($68), Samsung SSD 850 EVO SSD 250GB (MZ-75E250B/EU) ($99) Build total (without RAM) : $1246
  7. Thank you all so much for your answers <3 Okay, so first off: I don't mind you using other sites like amazon or pc part picker to show builds, it's actually more appreciated since the site I'm using a bit of an overpriced site when it comes to processors and such. 2: When I look at the RAM costs however, I get my RAM for $72 in swedish crowns, which i think is pretty sweet, but if the other RAM will give me better performance, then I will go for the more expensive offer as long as I can stay in budget. 3: Heat is no prob as long as I don't lose out on performance. Speaking of which, got any preferred cooling paste? You're all super helpful and I'm grateful like no other <3
  8. Hi guys/gals/others! I'm buying a new pc somwhere in between xmas and new year's and would like some help/tips. My total budget including shipping would be at $1430. The only real requirement that I'm picky about is the case, really want a blue case. This is my build so far:http://www.inet.se/kundvagn/visa/8930889/so-far I live in Sweden but it lands on around $1300. I'm missing the 2-3TB HDD and could possibly save some money in using my old PSU. I just really want something new and fresh ~ My OLD AND FIRST pc (about 2 years old budget build): CPU: AMD FX 6300 Black Edition (4.2GHz OC) Cooler: CM Hyper 212 Evo GPU: 2GB Sapphire Vapor-X R9 270x (1120 MHz Core and 1500 Memory OC) SSD: Kingston V300 120GB MOBO: AsRock 970 Extreme 4 PSU: Corsair RM 650W Gold HDD: 1TB WB Green RAM: Corsair Vengeance LP 1600MHz 8GB EDIT 1: I would like to of course OC my CPU and GPU a bit. EDIT 2: For the past two years of using my computer I've only been playing games like League, GTA V and BattleBlock Theater settings that have given me an okay framerate and would of course want to be able to play anything really. I don't need to have everything on ultra settings as long as I can have my 60+FPS. Any input is greatly appreciated <3 Happy holidays! ~
