  1. Oh, that makes sense. I wonder if they use the same process node at least....
  2. Do motherboard chipsets always use the same microarchitecture as the cpu?
  3. I am planning on buying an rx 480, with plans on putting 2 in crossfire as a future upgrade. However, the case I have only has 4 expansion slots, meaning that the top gpu is going to be smothered by the bottom one. At the price point, I can buy a STRIX card or a blower design. Which do you think will result in lower noise levels/temps?
  4. I'm upgrading from a Haswell processor to Kaby Lake, and I'm just wondering what I'll have to do OS-wise. I'm going to be using the same boot drive, but will I have to validate/install windows 10 again? Is there anything I have to do beforehand?
  5. I will be running integrated graphics, and I'm not entirely sure what HDMI standard my motherboard has, so idk if it can do 60hz
  6. I'm looking for a good 1440p monitor that has: -IPS -Integrated speakers -Less than 33 in. Diag -DVI support so I can get a 60hz signal off a single cable -3.5 mm audio in port, so that I can run the integrated speakers (DVI does not support sound) I've been looking at the HP Envy 32, but i'm not sure if it has a dedicated audio in port.
  7. That's good. Would it also support integrated speakers on the monitor?
  8. I've been looking on their website for the HDMI standard the motherboard supports, but I couldn't find anything. I will be running integrated graphics on the machine (low power office pc).
  9. Would it be possible to combine all the features of a wireless router, modem, and NAS onto a single small-form factor machine? What kind of hardware would be needed?
  10. Is there an mATX motherboard (x99 chipset) with U.2 ports onboard?
  11. I'm looking for a replacemnet for my old logitech m325 mouse that has served me faithfully for >4 years. Does anybody have suggestions for a mouse in a similar form factor (really small), that connects via USB dongle, and which has some extra features? I've been considering the mx anywhere 2, but it's too expensive.
  12. I'm looking for an atx lga2011-3 motherboard that can fit: •2 dual-slot gpus •1 single-slot gpu •1 pcie 4x expansion card •1 pcie 8x expansion card Many motherboards I have looked at have a slot layout in which the 2 dual slot gpus would cover up a neccecary pcie 8x slot or something similar. In addition, does a 6800k have enough pcie lanes to provide bandwidth to all of these cards, or would I need to get a 6850k instead?
  13. Are there any versa-mounted cases (that mount to the back of your monitor) that support an m-itx motherboard and a single or double-slot expansion card?
  14. So I suppose the build is not possible then?
