  1. Hello, I have an unRAID little test build with an extra computer I had lying around, I wanted to move it to my Mac Pro which is currently doing nothing in a corner so I decided to make an unRAID USB and try to boot it. it doesn't boot at all unless i use rEFInd from my mac drive. when it does boot, it throws a kernel panic similar to the one in this thread. does anyone have any ideas on what I could be doing wrong or what i could try to do instead? Thanks P.S. this 4,1 Mac is flashed to the 5,1 firmware.
  2. Hey, ESXi is actually really good if you can manage to download the free version without an account. it's quite difficult.
  3. Tthanks for the help, I would have figured it out eventually
  4. I would assume you mean a soft reset, not a hard reset?
  5. too many people on the network, will try when my brother is done with His league of legends game (I've been waiting for him to get done with it for a while )
  6. on most Dell BIOS' you press 12 but for others you could press F5 F2 F12 Esc and I think I'm missing one, but you press one of them and say 1st boot priority to the Hard drive you plugged in (before the PC is turned on)
  7. depends on if you can get the (most likely) ssd out of the laptop or not. I had mac installed on an SSd and it worked fine when I moved it from a laptop to a full blown PC.
  8. run chrome as admin? I've already ran it as admin with cmd when I pinged it. Edit: i ran CMD as admin NOT chrome

    [HELP]

Ok, so I've gone into my command prompt and typed in ipconfig (because its been a while since I've done computer stuff). I then used the default gateway to login to my router and port forward (for minecraft and for Black Ops 3). It kept (and still is) saying timed out when I try to connect ( I'm using google chrome but I tried to use the edge browser and even IE). However, when I go into my CMD and try to ping it, it comes out just fine with 0 packets lost and about 64ms ping. any Ideas? no one in the household has been able to connect. I'm able to use everything else on my network just fine.
  10. I have about $200 in credit there so I would rather go there than anywhere else.
  11. I've been looking at the 6600k but it's been out of stock since before Christmas and also the 6700k but it's also out of stock :I
  12. Ok so I'm looking for a cpu that has the lga 1151 socket and is available on best buy. Seems simple but I have yet to find one in Stock, or I'm not looking hard enough. I would like to play games like BO3 and GTA V without my cpu bottlenecking like it is currently. I just slapped my gpu in an old computer for now until I can find a cpu on best buy to put in my yet to be built computer.
  13. wow thanks for the immediate response so what mobo's should i get instead? EDIT: Actually, never mind. Ill see if i can get a refund, or exchange the 4690k for the 6600k as I already have the M5 mobo.
  14. I need to know if the motherboard I'm getting will fit the CPU I have. I am getting the MSI Gaming M7 mobo I have an Intel i5-4690k Thanks for the help!
