  1. (Sorry, Did not know this thread existed,)
  2. I ran a 20-pass MemTest86 test with no errors, so I doubt that, also did it before my last ram upgrade looking back in the event viewer...
  3. As a moderator of the Moonlight Discord, I must detest the Sponsor of Maximum Settings at timestamp 1:30:24 of the WAN Show Dec. 22nd 2023! They use the Moonlight and Sunshine code base as their backbone and then dump their support on the Moonlight discord! LTT Staff please take notice of this and also make a PROPER Video about Moonlight/Sunshine. This is an issue that the Moonlight community has been dealing with (especially from India) where a startup or such will blatantly rip off Moonlight and Sunshine code and give no credit to the original projects, marking the work as their own and then simultaneously dumping all their support issues on US! Moonlight and Sunshine is an open-source version of basically the OG NV Gamestream protocol (SHIELD) that has since evolved and is continuing to evolve with the death/eventual death of NV Gamestream. If you have a proper combination of Host, Network, and Client hardware you can achieve as little as ONE FRAME behind the host system. https://moonlight-stream.org/ https://github.com/LizardByte/Sunshine/releases
  4. I seem to be having something related but without seemingly any symptoms??? I have had countless crashes of AUDIODG.EXE according to the event viewer (234 as of now) but have never actually had anything happen. no audio drop or anything. No system crashes either. Just curious as to what could be causing it.
  5. Recently Shadowplay Instant Replay has not been detecting games correctly. I think I have the startings of how to get around this by reading a Steam reg key that shows what game by ID is running. I plan to just have the privacy switch for capture disabled so it captures the entire screen. But can not figure out a way to start and stop Instant Replay. I have even found a reg key that tells me if it's on or off. But changing said key does not enable and disable it... Does anyone know how to enable end disable Shadowplay Instant Replay?
  6. Stumbled across this; think it would make a very interesting video. coreboot.org Its an open source MB UEFI/firmware
  7. That's what I am hoping. That it is just some dumb thing like that. But man does it have me a little erked as this laptop is not even a year old.
  8. So got a look at Windows 11 and its system requirements. The GPD P2 Max should be compatible but for some reason the "PC Health Checker" is saying the CPU is not compatible... It does meet all requirements posted on the windows website. Its a 2 core 4 thread above 1ghz. (barely, 1.1ghz base) It has 16GB or RAM witch is more than the 4GB it calls for. It has 512GB of NVEM SSD storage. It does support UEFI, Secure Boot, and TPM2.0. The iGPU does support DX12. There is an internet connection as well. The only thing I can think of is the screen size? Its resolution is 2560x1600 and according to HWinfo is 8.9".
  9. Well here is an interesting development. Just asked Tripp-lite about there USB 3.0 hubs in regards to latency. I received this in reply; “Unfortunately there is no information to provide in regards to latency time. Our supplier for the U360-007-IND was only able to let me know that the U360-010-IND will have a better latency time as the chipset of this model supports MTT (Multiple Transaction Translator). The U360-007-IND only support STT (Single Transaction Translator) MTT has better performance than STT when multiple mouse and keyboards are used. I would suggest letting the customer know the U360-010-IND is the better choice for this case.” So it looks like we need to be looking for USB hubs that use this MTT (Multiple Transaction Translator).
  10. I can, but I would prefer very heavily that they be connected to the PC in some manner, the Corsair stuff I use have a wired mode and as stated for the like third or forth time it’s very nice to just plug them in (with a magnetic Volta cable) when the wireless gets interference and the like. Also I have an ITX build (well technically DTX) with not 5.25 full or slim. That and I would love to be able to put the ODD I have on a hub but it’s high power and it draws 3A. The included cable has two USB connectors. One is just for power though I have discovered that if I have it plugged direct into the desktop it only needs the one. Guess my MB USB power delivery is nice. I also MUST have the fingerprint reader as it’s a requirement for my work. And as for the HDD, ya it’s not connected all the time..... I literally said that.... and I plug it into the front panel USB when I use it. But I would like to still have some open rear USB ports for future devices such as for example a VR headset or perhaps a flight seat or both. That and there are times when I have had 5 USB HDD connected at once and would like to be able to accommodate that as well.
  11. Oh I’m fully aware of that. That’s why I want to stick just the mouse, headset, and game controller on it. Well and wired connections for the aforementioned devices. And how would that be? The only ones that I could really move off are the 2 USB cables for the mouse and headset. But I really like that I can make the wireless devices wired when I desire on a whim.
  12. Hum this looks intriguing; https://www.tripplite.com/7-port-rugged-industrial-usb-3.0-superspeed-hub-15kv-esd-immunity-and-metal-case-mountable~U360007IND as does this one; https://www.tripplite.com/7-port-industrial-grade-usb-3.1-gen-2-hub-10-gbps-4-usb-a-3-usb-c-15kv-esd-immunity-metal-housing~U4604A3CIND Any thoughts?
  13. Well thunderbolt would not really have this problem unless it was a really crud dock. With thunderbolt docks the USB and all that is over the PCI-e bus and not really a hub per say. It would be better described as an embedded external PCI-e USB card. So they don’t suffer from much if any latency issues. Most desktops don’t have thunderbolt 3 as for the most part they don’t make sense for desktops. The only time there really useful is either remote interface kinda like Linus does or for daisy chaining storage arrays. Though on that note why not just get a NAS... And I will definitely look at what dell has to offer. Though at the moment I’m looking at some Tripp-lite stuff. I have a USB C multi-port adapter for this tiny laptop I use out in the field and the like and it’s amazing! It’s the first USB C multi-port adapter out of 5 I’ve tried that actually seams to work properly. The only real downside is the 3 USB type A ports on it have a shared 2A power plane pulled from the host device even when USB C power is applied. That and with my dealing with there stuff in the network and server rack space they seam to have some nice stuff. The challenge is going through there massive catalog of things and there not so great website...
