I personally use linux as main os cos i like the unix architecture and it feels better for me.
Sure windows has better software and game support, but for me it really does not matter
as i dont need special software like photoshop and the like.
Sure better gaming support would be nice
But really, does it matter what os we use. They all have their good and bad sides.
Use what ever you like and be happy

To be true, Terminal is an incredibly powerful tool, and i think it wont ever go
away from linux and it should not.
But for most non tech users you can live without terminal most of the time now days with linux.
Sure some day we might get super GUI terminal that does it all

True what you say, when the damage is done it's too late to whine about it, so to say.
But if you really do feel that antivirus is unnecessary on a windows machine
then manual scan is better than nothing.
I personally would not run windows without antivirus with real time protection on.

Personally i install everything i can on the ssd and just use my hdd as a backup disk.
The time it takes to "wear out" the ssd i probably have upgraded to new one so i don't really care.
But that's just how i look at it..

Ubuntu installs Grub2 boot loader that gives you the option to boot ubuntu or windows, it normally works
without problems, if you delete ubuntu later you need to reinstall windows bootloader, but you can
fix that with windows cd.
