  1. Update: The card seems to be working fine under Ubuntu live usb, so I guess that the problem is with Windows itself. I had some drivers installed before because I thought that was the reason nothing was being detected. I uninstalled everything and still get the blue screen everytime I load Windows. Looking at google I can only find things related to uninstalling drivers and disabling "e cores". But I'm not sure were to take it from here. Thanks!
  2. Thanks for the replies! I was playing around some more and I figured that because I had no bracket (It came with a low profile one) maybe the connection wasn't good enough? Now it seems that the pc is detecting the card, but I get this blue screen as soon as the OS loads. It seems to be related to mellanox, so I guess that's progress. The pc loads just fine without the card connected.
  3. Hello everyone! I've recently purchased 2 Mellanox MT26448 cards from ebay and was hopping to set them up together with a MikroTik CRS305-1G-4S+IN switch. I have two computers that I want to connect for now: an Unraid Server and my main gaming pc. I had no problem with the Unraid machine, it detected the card and it's working as expected. The problem is with my main PC wich currently consists of: R7 3770x, 2080 Super, 8x4 hyperx ram and a MSI x570 Gaming Plus motherboard. I believe that problem lies in the fact that the pcie is not getting the x8 lanes that are needed for the card to work. I currently have the gpu on the first slot, and the mellanox on slot 3 (slot 2 gets blocked by the gpu). I also have a nvme drive on the first m.2 slot. I tried to change the lanes assigned, but I cannot find any configuration in the bios further from assigning 8x + 8x on the first pci slot. Is it imposible to make this work? Do I have to upgrade my motherboard? Thanks!
  4. The Laptop shows the TV as HDCP compliant. And I couldn't find any firmware upgrade in toshiba's website, but according to the tv itself it has every posible update.
  5. No it hast 4 hdmi ports labaled as HDMI 1,2... It also has a VGA input, but keep in mind that everything worked correctly with my laptop, with the same setup.
  6. Yes, that's what I did. Right know I just have AMD drivers installed.
  7. It's detected exactly as in your pic. Except that when I go to properties I get 0 audio channels and no HDCP support.
  8. The connection is direct and I plug it in my graphics card
  9. I've recently purchased a new tv for my bedroom and wanted to connect it directly to my PC with an hdmi cable (10m). The picture worked at first try but the audio didn't. Windows detects the speaker and lets me select it, but when I try to "test" it within the sound manager its not able to play the test tone. On Properties you can see that it's showing 0 Channels availabe and that HDCP is not supported (theoretically the tv has support for it). I tried setting it up with my laptop and everything worked fine. I also tried with a shorter hdmi cable and the problem persisted. So it seems that the problem is with my computer and not the tv. I'm hooking everything up with an AMD gpu, so I reinstalled all the drivers and tried with the beta with no luck. I installed Realtek audio drivers with the same result. I power cycled all my devices and I'm clueless on how to proceed. Connecting the sound via Jack is not an option, because the port is occupied by the speakers on another room. Funnily enough the computer has been connected to another TV for a couple of month with 0 problems. Thanks in advance EDIT: Still no luck, I'm going to sleep now. Tomorrow I'm going to try setting my old gpu and report back! Thanks for helping!Ha Update: I got the sound working both with integrated graphics and with an old Nvidia gpu. In that situation the speakers is shown as HDCP compatible. Apparently the problem is with the gpu or the drivers. I also tried using one of the Dvi-d ports with an hdmi booster with the same results.
  10. I just configured one (out of curiosity) and this is what appears at the end http://imgur.com/MF8E0sQ, around 111 lbs.
  11. Hello guys! I've recently started playing an old game with my friend and we would like to find a simple solution to chat. I never really used any voip software before, except from the occasional Skype call, so I don't really know what is now the best option. I first looked at Razzer Comms. But some of my friends use MacBooks <_< . Would you stick to Skype, or try something else? We are not looking for crystal clear voice, but rather something light that will work well with wifi. Ventrilo seems a good option, but I don't wanna spend money renting a server. We are not that pro, yet B) Thank you!
  12. Man that was quick! Solved, I knew Linus had the answer :P It's my first build and I'm still a little bit lost. Thank you very much!
  13. Hello to everyone, I recently build a pc with a P8Z77-VLX2 motherboard and added an SSD and a 1TB hdd. The SSD is correctly detected and my OS is installed in it. However the normal hard drive is not showing, even in the BIOS. I tried changing the slot in the motherboard, with no luck. The drive clearly turn on, you can tell by touching it. I even tried putting my dvd-writter in the same slot and it worked just fine. The funny thing is that i installed a program called PC-Wizard that detects the hardware in your computer, and it's shown there  Needless to say I installed all the drivers in the motherboard. Thank you in advance, and sorry for my english (it's not my primary language) ;)
