You can use W7 for now and install W8.1 on a random HDD, tweak it until it's exactly as you want it and copy W8.1 to the SSD.

I did recently install 8.1 to go on an external ssd to try it out and it is awesome!

Boots very quickly (also mostly tested on a lga775 mobo, xeon e5440, usb 2), hasn't crashed once, only nuisances are explorer and the start menu. Both can be modified to look more traditional though. Everything i needed to do in the control panel was still there. It does lack the games though, or at least they weren't available in the add windows features thingy.

8.1 does seem like a good os. It also found all of the drivers automatically.

I am still using win7 on my other computers because it works. I will probably upgrade to 8.1 after the support ends and then hopefully linux.

How secure would your facilities be? Redundancy? Data shipping security? Data capacity?
If I understood correctly, you want to make a cloud backup company with an cold storage data vault.
Anyone serious about their backups doesn't do it manually, they are done automatically on a schedule.
It's a nice idea but there are companies who already streamlined the process on a huge scale.

Even Google drive data is saved in multiple data centers around the world.

I don't want to end up appearing condescending, but you clearly didn't get my sarcasm, I was joking, LTT and LMG in general, are the most transparent bunch of individuals you can find on the internet. IMHO they do their ads and reviews by the book and the segways to their sponsors are smoother then two Brazilians sliding in oil.

I'm confused... I thought nVidia owned LMG and Linus' soul.

Stupid kids gonna do stupid things.

You're talking about a vulnerability that went unnoticed for over 20 years until it was discovered by a group of academics. A team that was compensated by Intel for their work.

I'm curious how you figure Intel chips are overpriced, especially considering the price competitiveness of the AMD alternative is subjective. And when that 6700 came out, there was no AMD alternative.

Seems more like you're angry because Linus works with a brand you don't like.

Windows ME is far more stable than Windows 10 and 98SE.
