  1. When yours crashes, does it crash to desktop or are you getting a black screen with "no video input" on your monitor?
  2. Relevant Parts list TL;DR is in underlined italics for your convenience Description of problem. Put my PC together last weekend. I didn't get to play with it much since I have been busy with work/holiday stuff, but I did manage to run 3DMark to test the stability of the CPU/GPU in a synthetic environment. I ran the benchmark 2-3 times and temps on everything were normal, nothing over 75-80 degrees on the GPU (there was a little bit of coil whine but nothing outrageous). I got my monitor in the mail a few days later, hooked everything up and the system was running great. I played about an hour of CS:GO and went to bed. Today I finally sat down with some free time to get some gaming in. I downloaded and installed Insurgency since it is on sale and played for a half hour until the screen went black and I could hear the game hanging up in my headphones. Screen stayed black and a "No video input" message appeared. Rebooted the computer and it went straight to the same message, the MSI logo on the card lights up but the fans no longer spin. Tried swapping out the DisplayPort cable with an HDMI connection and no luck.Completely removed my 390 after making sure everything was seated properly (it was) and booted with the integrated graphics with no problem. I am now running on integrated graphics. Things I have tried. Removed the GPU, booted with integrated graphics Tested the card with HDMI Tested the card in a different PCI-E slot Things I have not tried Using a different display (doesn't seem to be the problem) My 390 in a different computer (don't really have access) A different video card in my build (again, don't really have access) Playing with BIOS settings (wanted to check here first) Changing power supply cables. (only the 8-pin is modular) Additional Details All the 390 drivers are up to date. BIOs was updated when I first put the PC together due to Haswell refresh (some argue that you should never update BIOs). I have not done any overclocking whatsoever and I set a generous fan curve to keep the card extra cool to be on the safe side. I am really stumped please help. Should I RMA this card? I sent in a rebate on it so I hope that does not complicate the process Please help.
