  1. Okay, we just tried that. Cleared cmos, nothing powered except board and cpu. Same issue, tried with and without gpu.. Also tried on another board, same issue, hopefully the error codes on this board are helpful. It's an Asus ROG Strix B450-F Gaming board. It flashes yellow, then red, then yellow again, then red again, then white, and it stays white until he cuts power. He apparently was also to make it only light yellow by putting only one T-Force stick in the slot farthest to the right. I don't understand that since all of those sticks were working previously. Can't test the other PSU in this system because can only provide 4-pin cpu power. Both boards do not have a feature to update the bios with no cpu installed.
  2. He's tried with several confirmed working GPUs, cables and monitors
  3. I am using a laptop (HP 17-x121dx) for web browsing and very light gaming (Warframe, Minecraft shh, etc.). I am tired of waiting for everything to load and not being able to multitask effectively. In task manager, my CPU is basically always idle, and my memory and drive are usually always pinned. I am already upgrading to an SSD but I am not sure how to go about upgrading my memory. Currently the laptop has a single 4GB stick of DDR4 SDRAM, and it's 2132 MHz according to CPU-Z. If I remember correctly it supports up to 16 GB. My question is: Should I upgrade to 8 GB or 16 GB of RAM? And, if I upgrade to 8 GB, would I get away with buying another similar 4GB, or would I have to find another stick of the exact same Samsung module, or should I get rid of the stick I have and buy two new identical ones? And, if I do buy two new ones, is there any benefit to higher clock speeds and/or lower latency? I'm sure given my use case it has no effect, but I could be wrong. Here are screenshots of CPU-Z on imgur. Sorry if this post is terrible, it's my first one. Thanks in advance!
