Issue is OS. Most likely its loaded with viruses and/malwares which hogs resources. Files might also be corrupt. I suggest a clean install. Lets see if viruses can survive a format....

my 8 core fx never hits above 80% for more than 1 second, even when gaming. it idles at 2-13% when browsing. 30-60% when heavy gaming. I find more cores a cpu has, the less likely the chance that some bug and loop will eat up all the cpu resources, causing the entire system to freeze.

Is it stable? My cpu can go to 6 ghz. it crashes instantly under prime95 tho

The 390, along with almost all cards AMD offers, now perform close to their potential. Even my 290 received a good performance increase, allowing it to keep up or surpass a 970 in some games. The Fury X is now just as fast if not faster than the reference 980 Ti all because of drivers and it still has potential to improve. I think you're hitting too hard on AMD, they seem to be getting a good grip and their products, at least their GPU line, are really starting to shine. I just can't wait for Zen and Arctic Islands.

We need a big banner slapped on the homepage that tells everyone to get a 390 instead of a 970.

Buy a Quantum computer. It will be selling 100 years from now at a great price of 100 million dollars. Plus a few tens of millions for liquid nitrogen cooling and radiation shield. Be sure to buy the AMD brand because it is the best.

For crying out loud, buy 390 because it has over 2x the Vram. 970 has only 3.5 ddr5. The remaining 0.5 is extremely slow and will kill fps if the game eats up more than 3.5 VRAM. And believe me, upcoming games WILL use more rams. Also directx 12, the API that future game engine will be code on performs better on amd GCN

Then that's the culprit. Switch back to your old fan and see if you still hear the noise. Aftermarket cooler delivers the best cooling and is much quieter than stock.

Hey everyone, I'm looking to get a new phone soon. I'd like for it to be close to 180 and have decent specs. I don't care if it's used, and preferably the screen is smaller than 5.5". I was thinking about the LG G3, but I'm not so sure about that screen size.

I am an AMD fan and I would like to convey the sentiment that AMD is the best. I found a user name like this one is a great way to do it. 

Not if you buy a genuine copy afterwards. I personally torrent games just so I can try them out. If i like them, I buy em on steam. if not, they won't last more than 15 minutes on my hard drive. 
 
Also, I despise DRM. I have been trying to purchase on GoG whenever possible.

Defiantly fx. I suggest you buy the 8350E or 8320E if you want the best overclocking performance. 

You can get a r9 380 for under 200 if you look around for sales. You can also get a slightly slower gtx 960 for around the same price. Grab the 4 gb version if you can.

They don't have sensor, just an algorithm that calculate temperature based on the voltage I think. I am running on AMD CPU with a 212 evo. Idle temp is a chilling 10C which is obviously wrong.
