  2. I don't think it's totally unreasonable to assume, since it's been consistently the case. Not only with Rockstar, but many other big developer releases. Maybe they got their heads out of their asses and put some effort in making the game run properly, but I'm leaning the other way.
  3. $70 for this inevitably un-optimized year and a half old game? Cool. I'd rather donate that money to skidrow for their crack. Rockstar ain't getting my shekels.
  4. The weak point is at the volume rocker. The consumer report test put pressure on a stronger part of the phone, that better supported the weight. If they had put weight only on the half of the phone near the volume rocker, it would probably bend like nothing.
  5. Headed up to the cottage yesterday for two weeks. Since it was such a long time to go up I figured I would bring my whole desktop so I could play some games. I wrapped my computer in a garbage bag to prevent it from getting scratched. I also put a folded piece of carpet under it because the stuff it was sitting on was uneven. I didn't clue in that this was a horrible idea. During the three and a half hour trip, the bumps and vibration of the van caused the case to move around in the garbage bag and on the carpet, generating static electricity. Little did I know the static electricity must have built up inside the PSU. I set everything up in my room at the cottage, tried to power on my computer and I got a nice loud buzz sound and a burning smell from my PSU, and it completely died. I'm hoping it didn't fry anything else, but I won't know until I return home. I know that at least my SSD and hard drives are okay. TLDR: Static electricity destroyed my PSU because I am dumb. The picture is of the only visual damage I could see inside the power supply. You can clearly see one of the ICs has a hole burned right through it.
  6. I love the thin bezels on this guy. +1 Entry kthnx.
  7. I hate when people say things like this. It's like you guys didn't even read the thread, or the purpose of it completely passed over your heads. Nobody is here to complain or demand anything from Linus. We are expressing our opinions on the current state of the Youtube channel, not to attack Linus or his work. Infact, quite the opposite. The idea is for Linus and his employees to read the feedback, and possibly make changes for the better (in our opinion). As far as I've read, nobody here has had any aggressive or offensive intentions. Just going ahead and unsubscribing and saying nothing about it is the absolute wrong thing to do.
  8. I sort of agree with these points. I first subscribed 4 years ago, and I consistently watched almost everything Linus put out since then, up until some time last year. Now I find myself only watching a handful of LTT videos a week, where as I used to be watching several of them daily. I certainly appreciate the improvement in quality that Linus is striving for, even though the old unprofessional style was just as enjoyable for me. What I don't like is that it seems that improvement in quality has directly effected the quantity of interesting products that are shown. Just skimming through the past while, all I see is keyboard, keyboard, mouse, speakers, phone, keyboard, monitor, mouse, speakers, monitor, keyboard, mouse, phone (in no particular order). Mixed in is a bit of the stuff I'm interested in, including some cases, motherboards, laptops, RAM, graphics cards, etc., but it's all big name, popular products that everybody else is covering. I still enjoy the videos, and I will keep watching, but I agree that there is less enjoyable content. I also hope that Linus is taking all the constructive criticism like a man. If not, I'm available for hugs. There are a lot of conflicting opinions in this thread, but I believe through all of it that we can all agree on one thing: MORE CATTIPS.
  9. Fortunately nobody has the location of that goldmine, eh Linus?
  10. I was pretty happy when I saw you took my advice to post this (unless you already had planned to post it). I told ya you would get on the build logs of the week. Such a build does not deserve to be exclusively on /g/. <3
  11. My current configuration is a Mushkin 256 GB SSD, a 500 GB Sata II WD Black, 1TB WD Green Sata II, and 2TB WD Green Sata II. I mention that they're stata II because they're painfully slow, and every one of them is filled to the brim. My SSD functions as my main OS drive and most of my programs. The 500GB black is used for my documents and large game installations. The 1TB and 2TB are used for Movies, TV Shows, games, etc. I purchased my hard drives literally because I've only put trust in WD cause I've had nothing but good luck with them. I purchased the SSD because I wanted to experience dem fast boot times and transfer speeds. I specifically chose the mushkin because it was one of the better priced and highest rated at the time. I need new drives but I have literally no money. I'm still in school and I'm way too lazy to get a job.
  12. I usually keep it at 4.8 Ghz, but I just loaded my 5Ghz OC profile. I've hit 5.1Ghz but I really don't like keeping my voltage so high.
