  1. I am planning to upgrade my setup from i7-4770 to the new ryzen 3700X. 4770 can still run games, but it some times just max out itself randomly. I still can’t make up my mine what CPU Cooler and motherboard should I get, so I am looking for some advice online. CPU: I would like to get it a little bit overkill, just to give me a little bit headroom for anything I would like to do later on. This is why I choose 3700x instead of 3600. Cooler: I don’t really have much experience with AIO, so I don’t really know what to choose. CM MasterLiquid ML240L looks not too bad and that’s it. Correct me if I am wrong and I would like to know what cooler should I go for.(I don’t have an idea for the case yet, so I prefer 240 cooler) MB: I don’t think we will need PCIE 4.0 for quite some time, so I don’t border with X570. I am thinking to take ROG STRIX X470-F or ROG Crosshair VII Hero because I would like to have more USB slots, but spending that much for an x470 board looks dumb.(For my old build I have am using 12usb slots with a PCIE USB card, don’t ask me how did I get to 12usb divice I have no idea. I have things like VR 3xsensor 1xheadset, midi keyboard, webcam, headphone, speaker ) Memory: As Linus say, 3600 will do the job. Again correct me if I am wrong. GPU: Looking for 5700XT, Gamers Nexus said Gigabyte 5700xt gaming OC has good performance so that is it. Storage: 660p for the OS, hdd for storage. Scrap any hard disk from my old PC put it back into new build. PSU: 750w EVGA, full module, looks good, it just works. (BTW I do run my PC 7x24)
  2. I want to build a custom case for it, the 1060 lying around is a full size one, so putting it into my itx case ment I will have to give a lot of room to the 1060 with a full size PSU.
  3. Thanks for your idea, using a PCI-e extension meant the PSU for the ITX motherboard need to also power the GPU, because I don't want to put a full size PSU into my ITX build, that would take a lot of space for it. I also want a clean look and not jacking a lot of cables around. PCI-e is not easy enough to Plug and go for me :P. So I decide to use this plan instead. For Ryzen 5 2400g is to power the graphic when the Egpu is not in used. (don't really know it was overpricing right now, I thought there is only Ram and GPU overpricing, now the APU is joining the overprice hardware also?)
  4. Hi everyone, I want to build a new computer and I am planning to do some dumb shit on it. So here is the plan target of the PC: CHEAP! I am expecting to DIY my own because I don't want to spent too much on it, so make everything do everything by yourself. extra small mini ITX build to let you bring your PC to whatever lan party you want for some indie game. got a 1060 lying around, let thought that into a external GPU, but I have no money for it. So let DIY my own external GPU dock. Part 1, The mini ITX build: Ryzen 5 2400G, enough for indie games, lan party game or low res AAA games. Cooler: Ryzen default cooler should be find, or anyone got an idea to put a lower profile cooler into it? mini ITX B350 motherboard, haven't decided which one yet. Ram 8-16 gb, haven't decided which one yet. storage: I don't really want to go with ssd because the storage size of the ssd is too small(no budget for it), I think I would put a 2.5 hdd into it. PSU: ITX PSU. and a custom case for it the ITX. Part2, External GPU dock ok here comes the fun part, Sometime you may need to some extra GPU power. But I don't want to put a GPU into the ITX build, I want the ITX build as small as possible. So let make a external GPU for the ITX and plug it in when we need it. this dock allows a GPU connect to the motherboard thought a M.2 nvme or a mini Pci-e (choose one of those). with a well.... an HDMI port? My plan is to build a case for this unit, attach a HDMI extension to the case. Do the same for the ITX case. connect the Egpu and the ITX PC with an HDMI cable in the middle (for Egpu data transfer).Egpu will get it's power from another PSU inside the Egpu case. The setup will end up something like this: There is a few things that I concern: Will a ITX 300w power supply enough for a single 1060 full size card? (PSU for Egpu) Anyway to cut down the CPU cooler hight? What Power supply should I put into the ITX build. A Itx power supply should be enough but should I go with a mini power supply or a ITX power supply.(PSU for ITX) Am I watching too much LTT? I think I am going too far off from logic this time. This plan should work but it just too much effort and dumb.
  5. thanks for the information. Just a quick question, do the Vive 2 Base Station experience vs rift make difference to you.I have tried Vive and the experience is great. But I am not sure how Rift area tracking work or do it even got Area tracking. It will be disappointing if Rift can only sit down and play but not able to move.
  6. as long as you are not expecting ever VR games act like a AAA games. I think VR still got some good games.
  7. I don't think it's great, it's just ok. PC & PS is all you need for all the games. Xbox loses it features in games and Price and exclusive. I think VR is ok to get one now. It already came out for a long time, games and platforms are stable.
  8. But I am afraid that windows MR end up like the Xbox one which is a premium TV controller
  9. I am looking to buy a VR headset this black Friday sale. But I am not sure what VR to get. (deals below is the best I can find for Black Friday 2017 when I am writing this post&ever 99 has round up to the nears 100&some of the deals may be offline only) HTC Vive starting @ $600usd (include a $100usd audio strap&$40usd Fallout4 VR) by Office Depot Oculus Rift starting @ $350usd (include 6 games and controllers) by Best Buy Windows Mixed Reality starting @$300usd(Lenovo Explorer Windows Mixed Reality Headset with Motion Controllers) by Microsoft Store ps: you can get the Dell one with +$50 by dell PSVR @ $200usd by target & $300usd (w/ PS Camera & Gran Turismo Sport) by dell & Walmart Now for the real talk, I want to get a PC VR that's meant PSVR is out. I also want to get a cheap one, but I don't want to lose the availability to play Most of the VR games. Vive and Rift have already support most of the games, But Window MR I am not sure what it can do. It said it will support Steam VR, But I am not sure if the games inside Steam VR will or will not support it. Anyone have a VR and know can VR games can cross-platform support or not, and how Windows MR perform?(most reviews say it's great, But I am not sure do it even support most games or it can only act like a premium window and internet browser)
  10. Well yes I do love music and have a high res audio with my phone will be great and I don't take a lot of photo with my phone. I know what I want with my phone, but the problems are there aren't many choices out in the market. And I don't want to give up all other features and go with the high res only with the high cost that I pay.
  11. with that price, I am expecting the phone Airplane mode does make the phone fly like a drone. It is not a cheap phone but everything just feels outdated. Should it be at least have a wireless charging and the headphone jack. I would not say the pixel 2 is bad but it just not stands out from the market with that spec and price.
  12. I just feel like there is a lot of better camera phone out there in the market if you want the best camera. And other than the camera the rest of the hardware is just like a standard or like really out date.
  13. I just really don't know what pixel is trying to do when anyone can get an android 8.0 but Pixel is still using the software as a bait.
  14. I am looking to buy a new phone, and now the google pixel is out now. With a somewhat spec and an iPhone price, and also no headphone jack. It just broke my dream and I really don't want it now. But I still want a new phone to replace my buggy Lg g3. iPhone X is expansive AF, iPhone 8 is a joke, Note8 is Note7, S8 is why do we even need one if we have Note8. Moto and HTC is~~are they still here in the smartphone market???? the only one so far is ok for me is sony phone because it came with high res audio and I love it. But anything other then the high res audio is a Sh_t. so what should I pick or wait for now? it is fair to pay 800 to 1000 when my phone has op hardware good audio good screen wireless charging good camera good storage ~~~ but now I just feel all android phone is the same on the market and the ios phone is just packed with jokes at last for the pixel 2 pixel 2 is WTF are you doing google no hardware is worth mention in the pixel 2.
