  1. I would not recommend the 990s for HoH folks, but I am not an expert on audio. My brother owns them and I often use his computer, so I need an amp for that reason. Maybe it is because it is open-back and the sound leaks, but it is too quiet for me, whereas my DT 770s (80ohm) are fine on my computer. Thanks for the recommendations! The Schitt Fulla is not super available in Canada. What do you think of the Topping DX1 and Fiio K11?
  2. Hello, I am hard-of-hearing and so my motherboard (Aorus ELITE AX Z790) cannot reach sufficient volume levels on its own. I need an amp to increase the volume for these headphones. The sound itself is fine, so I am not sure whether I need a DAC too, unless it would improve the sound quality to get an amp/DAC. My budget is around 150$ CAD. Thanks in advance!
  3. Hey! I read in a guide that you should set the pump to 100% all the time. I'm using the Liquid Freezer II and I'm not sure how to adjust the speed of the pump, as it only has one connector. Everything is set to the recommended settings in the BIOS and temperatures are solid. Would you recommend changing the settings? If so, how might I adjust the speed of the pump?
  4. I'm running an RTX 4080, 13600k, and 32GB of DDDR5 @ 6000mhz. My display is a 4k television. My settings: Ultra Quality Extreme Tessaltion 8x AA Fullscreen System Resolution Everything else is set to default. It gets me ~77FPS on average. I'd really appreciate some other benchmark scores, if anyone has an RTX 4080 with an i5, i7, or equivalent Ryzen processor. Thanks!
  5. There's an option for "Enhanced Multicore Performance," and it set to AUTO by default. Would you recommend turning it off completely?
  6. It is a Gigabyte Z790 Aurus Elite AX. Thanks for the information!
  7. Hey, There's a video from "PCBuilder" in which he says to lift the power limits on the motherboard. He says to set manually set the power limits in the BIOS. Here's the video, it's at 17:00 or so. I'm running a Z790 and 13600k system. Thanks!
  8. I'm more comfortable with the older, green skin myself. I'll enable "Auto" then. Thanks!
  9. That is interesting! If you leave it off, will it just run at whatever flat number the fan is set to?
  10. Hey, I've set a custom fan curve for my GPU in MSI Afterburner and enabled it, but I'm wondering if the "Auto" setting must also be enabled in order for the curve to work. It is enabled by default. Thanks!
  11. Hey, I'm an owner of the MX100, which is an old SSD that requires an update to the firmware on modern machines. Anyway, the simplest method is using the Crucial Storage Executive. Now that I've updated the firmware, I'm wondering if it is okay to remove the software, and if the firmware update will remain. Hopefully, that is clear enough. Thanks!
  12. Okay! That makes sense. The RAM was installed in slots 2 and 4, so it ought to run correctly.
  13. Hey, I'm running 32gb (2x16) of DDR5 in Dual Channel (or so I thought). But in Cpu-Z and HWInfo, it says Quad Channel instead. This seems to be the norm for this setup, which is odd. Is it running as it should?
  14. I've read online you're supposed to cap the framerate slightly below the refresh rate, so that it is always in the range of G-Sync.
  15. Great! That answers my question. It is meant to improve smoothness when the framerate is lower than the refresh rate. Thanks!
