I think linking this should be okay since this is in no way advertising at this point, this is the "Hotline" Build Log.
Again, he's running full size ATX and two-way SLI with a total of 5x120 radiator space in a mid tower case which is really cool for me since I've never seen this amount of hardware AND cooling in such a small case. I just wished they made a full aluminum version of it.

EDIT: I just realized that Pauls Hardware did nearly the same built with his arctic panther, seems to be more common than I thought...

All right, thanks. My biggest problem was using a tool I've never heard of and the whole cloning operation. Thanks for the tips.

That design was patented. Both  Corsair and Tt used the same OEM but yet Tt gets accused of copying, that's how stupid some people can get.

These two fans are very different, and in performance as well.

for the price I think they make over all good shit. I got no issues with them making similar shit to what's already out, this is nothing new.

I have some of their fans with the allegedly stolen design(which is pure BS) and I can safely say they are better than the Corsair ones they were accused of being a ripoff of. Bottom line is thermaltake make decent products for the price.

Thermaltake makes extremely decent products.  Sure they copy, but everyone in this industry does.  They're just very blatant in it.  Their new Riing fans are also pretty damn good from what I have seen / heard.

Its pretty stupid to do that with products, but its easy to do as a consumer

You have to look and see if a product is right for you on a lower level than just popularity or corporate choices by the manufacturer

I have a Thermaltake Suppressor F31 case... Can be seen as "inspired" by Define R4 or R5.
    I have a Thermaltake 600w PSU
I also have Thermaltake Riing fans now...

Apple/Samsung - Copying for copying sake... Best example.

They ALL do it, so I just don't care anymore. If one company wants to give me the same functionality for a better price, that is who I am going to give my money to. I didn't plan to buy a bunch of Tt stuff, but that's just how it worked out. They offered me the features I needed, at a price that was cheaper, at the time I needed it. Sorry Define, but you overcharge just for the name. Sorry Corsair, but they saved me $35. Sorry Noctua, but you're ugly AND expensive, for not enough additional sound dampening benefit.

I will say that I was originally going to buy the BeQuiet Base 800, in red, but they won't have them for sale in N.A. for another couple months. Didn't want to wait that long while my system continued to run hotter than necessary in a stock Dell case. It is what it is, and I may still buy it in August when I upgrade my motherboard, but when you have to buy parts in batches, you go with whatever you can afford at the time you are buying them over the most perfect solutions.

Dude, EVGA is killing it in the PSU market right now
I wasn't saying you necessarily should buy a PSU from Tt over any other brand, but they are reliable in my experience, not something you should just turn down based on brand name

I literally have half a dozen Tt products I use on a regular basis

I don't give a damn about the accusations or design theft, half the companies we buy products from have done the same thing

You shouldn't use that as a reason not to buy something unless the effects of that choice trickle down to you

If you have the money get the i7. It does make a difference for editing and such, but not for gaming. Although I highly recommend getting an unlocked CPU

But even on their high-end market, they're selling bigger chips (phsyical size of the die) for considerably less money. Meaning slim margins (less yields from wafers), even on the high-end side. And budget sector is really where you dump your stock (low-yields etc) and split even. There is absolutely no margin on those products.

And yeah, their marketing is terrible and super SUPER salty. That 4GB means 4GB crap their PR person "rob" pulled was just absolutely cringeworthy. I have no respect for a company which does this or doesn't immediatly order their employees to take it down. It wasn't even funny, it was just...base.

It wasn't like Pepsi and Coca-Cola that always make fun of each-other on twitter. They have intelligent and savvy PR people making jokes for them. These are just salty employees.

Aww man. Well I'm ok with turning the settings down to a mix of medium and high. One of the reason's I'm thinking of getting a 1440p monitor is because I won't have to upgrade for a while and since my GPU is an entry level 1440p card in the future I will just upgrade my GPU without having to upgrade my monitor. What do you think?

You will need to either clone your hard drive over to the SSD or perform a fresh install of Windows. The latter is usually recommended.

    1.) Chill
2.) That depends on the mod author... They are not all written by idiots (though some are)
3.) You know that the modding community is as big as it is for a reason, right?

@OP I would recommend 12 or more for modding games. I used to play a highly modded Skyrim on my old laptop (i7 Sandy, with 8GB RAM) and things ran very well. Some of the newer mods are getting especially ambitious though, so the extra RAM will definitely help... Go with the 16GB. If you weren't modding, then 8GB would be plenty.

It was a challenge, but I managed to come in at the $500 pricepoint while still staying Intel. This is a good all-around build, leaves you room for 16GB of RAM, a slightly better video card, and definitely an SSD in the future.

Edit: The power supply is absolutely overkill, as you only need at most a 450w PSU, but the price is extremely nice right now. Plus, if you do drop down a tier in PSU, you could get more RAM, or even a GTX 960. It's up to you though.
