  1. I feel really dumb. They even have a whole overclocking tab in the bios. I wish they would advertise that it is useless. Thanks guys, any other sub $100 motherboard recommendations for overclocking?
  2. I am trying to overclocking my brand new i7 6700k to around 4.4ghz with just a ratio multiplier OC. However my bios will not let me set it higher than 4200mhz and even then, when I stress test, task manager shows it running at stock 4ghz. Intel Turbo Boost is enabled and I am using an Msi H170A Pc Mate motherboard. And CPU ratio mode is set to dynamic instead of fixed. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
  3. Haha probably should've mentioned that I'm on a budget. The 980ti kinda cleaned me out. I'm not doing any content creation so I'm just looking for something that won't tie down the gpu too much.
  4. I'm looking to upgrade my cpu from an AMDFX-8350 4.00GHz (OC to 4.5 currently). I am using a Gigabyte Windforce 980ti OC to 1463MHz. What would you guys recommend? I'm looking at intel stuff so I will also need a new motherboard.
  5. What can I do about it?
  6. I was playing a game last night and all of a sudden my pc crashed. When I tried to turn it on, it wouldn't boot. All of my drives were in my bios except for my ssd with my windows on it. I checked my SATA connections and they were all good. Any ideas?
  7. I was playing a game, and all of a sudden my pc crashed and wouldn't boot. I looked for my boot drive, and my ssd is missing. My hard drive and disk drive are there, but my ssd is not. I checked the SATA connection and it was fine. Any thoughts?
  8. Thank you very much for explaining that, I had no idea what you guys were talking about. I'll definitely go with Intel the next time I upgrade!
  9. I'm confused. Even though the cores may be "weaker" wouldn't they use all the power from the cores it was using? Even if it was using only 1 of my cores, wouldn't the usage be close to 100% if it was a bottleneck?
  10. I know that most games don't use 8 cores, but none of them are using any of my cores above 80%. And for example Farcry 3 stays at like 47 fps
  11. But it's not using all the power from my cpu. None of my cores are maxed out. It should be maxing out if it was my cpu.
  12. Hello everyone, I recently upgraded to a gtx 980 ti from a 770 and really loved the performance in some games. But around 50% of them don't use all of my gpu, around 60% usage and no more than 60% or 70% of my cpu usage, can anyone help? 13. Sounds like a DAC would be much easier and cheaper. Any reason to get a new motherboard instead though?
  14. On every headset I've ever used on my pc, there is a constant, static noise that persists in the backround. the only time it stops is if I go to the windows power options and set my "processor power manager" maximum and minimum states very low, usually to around 40%. Any ideas on how to get rid of this?
