  1. A bit of background: It applies to advertisers and influencers with a following of more than 10k people. Same model as the French have implemented.
  2. Have you tried reapplying the thermal paste? Should be the first thing to do before replacing the cooler.
  3. Easy, buddy. That’s just the turbo boost, which means the CPU will run at higher clock speed when it has the thermal and energy headroom. That’s pretty normal, if you look at the spec sheet, it will have a boost clock listed. tl;dr you’re fine
  4. Short: No. Slightly longer: Only use an oven that will not be used to prepare food in afterwards. Also keep in mind that it will only work if the problem is a solder joint. It won’t fix a broken capacitor or else.
  5. Ok, so from what I’ve gathered, the odd RAM speed is based on the CPU only supporting that speed. So yeah, go get some 2133 or 2400 dimm. But with the rest of the hardware, it’s doubtful that you will feel a big performance benefit.
  6. Are you sure it supports DDR4? 1866 is a typical DDR3(L) speed, while 2133 and upwards would be DDR4 speeds.
  7. I think it’s just down to bad timing, with NVME SSDs launching for consumers at the same time. Even with the additional bandwidth, you would still be limited by the SATA protocol iirc. And SATA Express SSDs just came with too much of a premium I thinks.
  8. If the temps don’t go down all to much with the side panel open, it means you don’t have an airflow problem within the case, so that’s good. Due to the PSU shroud, you can’t easily improve airflow to the card. What does your fan curve currently look like? 80•c is not a Problem for the card, won’t do any harm… but it probably won’t boost as high as it could at lower temperatures.
  9. Could you provide a better lit photo? Also what’s the name of the case and how much of a difference is removing the side panel making when it comes to temps?
  10. That doesn’t sound good at all. Everyone and their mom requires email verification since forever.
  11. While the 5600X should be compatible out of the box, flashing the latest version wouldn’t hurt. Apart from that, maybe reseat the CPU.
  12. I’ll be mostly be playing in the evenings (CET), looking for some chill games.
  13. Something is wonky, no chance the ram would run at 1.2v on xmp. What happens if you select profile 2 and hit f10 or whatever it to apply and save on msi motherboards.
  14. Can you upload a picture of the xmp selection in bios?
  15. So, it’s running at 2400, because DDR. How did you go about overlocking the ram? Should be as simple as enabling XMP or DOCP, hitting save and restarting.
  16. You might have to plug your ssd into a different sata slot, that slot and the m.2 slot might share bandwidth. Check your motherboard manual.
  17. Depends on if you’re willing to modify the case or not. Maybe you’re lucky and it just fits, but they didn’t advertise it because they can’t guarantee that every 240 would fit. Otherwise you could just mount it in the front I guess.
  18. You can legally buy bootable usb sticks with macOS in some countries, such as Germany, where the software has to be available separately from the hardware for some reason.
  19. I’m not saying flash a new bios, just reset cmos. Either you have a dedicated button on the motherboard for that or some pins that you short, refer to the manual of your motherboard, it should have instructions.
  20. Do you have friends from which you could borrow a gpu for troubleshooting and also test your gpu in their pc? Have you tried reseating the gpu? Reset bios? Did you notice higher gpu temperatures or the fans ramping up more / running at higher speeds?
  21. Probably hidden under the M.2 heatsink You can also try remounting your cpu cooler, if the pressure on the cpu is too low or uneven, some pins might not make good contact.
  22. Did you also remove the CMOS battery during the reset?
