  1. Please make it as allergy friendly as possible (i.e. latex free).
  2. Budget (including currency): ~2400 EURO (25000 SEK) Country: Sweden Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly gaming, some programming and 3d modeling. Running an i5 from 2015 togeather with a GTX 1060 atm. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I'm all set on peripherals, Got a Samsung C49RG9 (¨~3,5K 120hz). Budget isnt set in stone, but I do not want to waste money (i.e. a 3090 would be wastefull). This is what I'm thinking about: Prices are converted from Swedish SEK. Got a 24TB NAS for storage and fast internet, HTPC with 1TB of 2,5" SSDs - so 1 TB should be sufficient. I like the idea of air-cooling so please keep that in mind (cooler should be sufficient, right?) Video Card wont be the founders edition, but probably a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3080 Eagle OC 2xHDMI 3xDP 10GB. (the best priced 3080 in sweden atm). RAM isnt compleatly decided yet, but the ones from Corsair seems fine. I do want dual M.2 on the mobo, please keep that in mind if you suggest a change. 3. Audio quality on Slack is waaay worse than skype and discord as well. It seems to be far superior as a text chat tho.
  4. Slack screen-share isnt free. Some more bad things are that only 10k lines of chat-messages are saved.
  5. Heya all! I need to find an alternative to Skype and Discord since they arn't satisfying my needs. What I need: 1. I need to be able to share screen and/or window. 2. Voice and text chat. 3. I need to work on both Windows and Mac. 4. I want it to save chat history. 5. I need to be able to send files larger than discords puny 8MB. Would love for it to be p2p. 6. Best case senario, it would have a mobile app. Would love to use Tox but the screen charing isn't good enough. And there seems to be no developement. If need be, I am able to set up a server to host my conversations.
  6. Awesome. Fantastic work!! When updating it only updates to version 4.4.0 tho. I've tried to reinstall and update once again but it still says 4.4.0 in the settings.
  7. This question might have been asked, but I couldn't find anything the the git-hub page. is there a way to include WAN-show as a download? I would love to be able to skip going to YT to watch WAN-show...
  8. Hello! I'm having trouble getting my NAS to boot again after I changed the Motherboard. I've located the problem and it seems to be the backplate for my hot-swapable drive-case. I'm using a Silverstone DS380 and the PSU is a (silverstone) SFX SX600-G. The computer starts fine when the molex cable is connected to the PSU but isn't powering anything else. But when I connect to the backplate on my DS380 the computer wont boot. (se picture: https://gyazo.com/3b98e7afc247315d5293cb893196bd10) the only sign of life is when I try to power on the right LED on the front flashes red and then nothing more. (the lights on the motherboard are still on) (the motherboard is an Asrock C2550D4I that I just got back from RMA) I've tried to connect only one of the Molex as well. (0x1,1x0,1x1) I'm thinking that the backplate might have given up on me, as I've tried to swap the PSU-cables. I haven't tried with a different PSU but since it works fine without the molex cable inserted I think that it works correctly?
  9. Mmhm, reasonable. Bwah, still so annoying! Just want the thing to work!
  10. Hmm, if that is the case, I find it strange that they market it saying: Source
  11. Yea, a few. I'm alone at the 5GHz channel = no disturbance. The 5GHz reaches everywhere without any problems, and I'd love to shut down my 2,4GHz network! (just a geeky thing, but living w/o using 2,4GHz has been a vision for a while.)
  12. Hey all! I'm having some troubles with my Chromecast Audio (CA from now on) setup. When trying to install them they wont connect to my 5GHz network, a "please check the network name" error is appearing or sometimes "something went wrong". (These errors are freely translated from Swedish by me). I got 5 CA that all experience the same problem. They are all updated to the latest version, rebooted and have been factory reset. (some are being powered using the included psu but I've tried with many 3d party ones as well) Network: I got a Netgear R7000 nighthawk running tomato. (I've also tried it with an airport express) The SSID for my main network is "Tellus-5G" but I've setup virtual ones called "TellusCast", "Tellus Guest" and "Tellus Guest 5G". I've tried different passwords, both long and short ones (never w/o password tho). I've tried to change the channel, channel width, control sideband. I've also tried manually entering the network name and picking it from the list. I've tried to configure them using an iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and a Experia z5 compact. I should also note that connecting to the 2,4 GHz network works fine. Best Regards, Magto Ps. If this post is in the wrong section of the forum, I'd be glad if one of the moderators could help me relocate it.
  13. Such a great idea! And this one is easy; the Apple TV. To my mom and dad, (mainly mom). And here is why: For years, my mom has been against technology the last 24 years, until 2 years ago when she got her first iPad. And later iPhone. And that is when things changed. Suddenly we had to get a good internet connection at our summerhouse, sitting with the phone (or ipad) in the living room was suddenly okay, and beeing able to charge the device in every room was a must. But that was all, she saw no further use for technology (buying a flatscreen TV was a one year project for my dad, and the old one might have stopped working when the TV he wanted was on sale). When pictures are beeing shown to guests while sitting in the living room, the phone is passed to everyone. And the TV is blank. Music is played, but from the phone - not the TV:s speakers etc. This is why I think that a Apple TV (I've tried to het her to buy it herself, but she wont ) would change my parents life to the better. And with the new Apple TV they could watch movies and listen to music from my Plex server. This is why the Apple TV would be the best gift to my parents - and it would probably allow my dad to get new speakers for the TV and hopefully change my moms view on technology! //Magto
