https://www.dellrefurbished.com/desktop-computers
you can get a Core i3, 4GB ram, 500GB HDD and a copy of 32bit Win7 Pro for under $200
these refrubs are pretty solid from experience.
Ive bought 4 units for family and friends + i got my company to buy a few for the office
too
you can also upgrade these to hold a second SSD/HDD, upto 16gb of RAM and depending on the form factor you get you can add replace the GPU/PSU with ease as well

I would personally trust any Dell computer. I found mine on FaceBook, but you can check sites like Craigslist and stuff.

UL_42L got a reaction from jeffmeyer5295 in 2560 x 1080 vs 2560x1440
It sounds like an ultra-wide version of 1080p. It has less pixels than 2k (2560x1440), but it's wider.

UL_42L got a reaction from SpaceGhostC2C in ATX VS MICRO ATX IN GAMING
There is no performance difference. Overclocking ability depends on the model of motherboard you get. The only drawbacks with micro ATX are less PCI-E and RAM slots because there's less room.

UL_42L got a reaction from mrchow19910319 in Mobo form factors
As far as I know, motherboard size really only effects how much stuff you can put on it (for example, smaller motherboards might have fewer PCI-E slots). Other than that, any sort of performance difference would be immeasurably small.

That's great to hear, sorry I've been quiet but I am home with the flu....
I'll keep underclocking in mind.

UL_42L got a reaction from RetroSmoo in GTA V runs more smoothly with MSAA on. WTF?
This is NOT a troll post. I am seriously confused about this occurrence and would like to hear the opinions of others.
When I played Grand Theft Auto V, I always noticed and was bothered by a slight stuttering despite maintaining a 'constant' 60 FPS. My GPU was at 100%, yet it maintained temperatures around 70 degrees Celsius and the fan never went above 86%. None of my CPU cores were maxed, and I had RAM to spare. However, when I turned MSAA up to 8x from off and made absolutely no other changes, the stuttering issue stopped and my FPS remained at a steady 60. The difference was that my GPU fan had to speed up to 100%, and it maintained a temperature around 90 degrees.
My build is made of an Intel i5 4460, an XFX R9 390 Double Dissipation, and 8 GB of RAM.

A .tar file is a compression file similar to .zip, as far as I know. The only immediate thing that comes to mind is Linux when I think of it. Unfortunately, all I can tell you is that you can extract .tar files with Linux, using a live boot disk or other medium. I can't tell you how to fix your issue.

UL_42L got a reaction from mikat in should i ?
I'm not sure, but I think it might be a big upgrade. Still, we need to know what monitor you're using, CPU, power supply, what settings/resolution/framerates you want, etc.
