Cpu overheating with new heatsink + thermal paste
Markercartoons replied to Markercartoons's topic in Cooling
Core temp gave me temperatures of 30 degrees Celsius so the program I was using before was giving me bad readings. But anyway all fixed now. Thanks a lot. -
So I'm building a simple esports rig for my dad so he can get into gaming, I'm using an old pc I had, the pc specs are: Intel Core I3 3240 @3.4Ghz, Gt 1030, 8gb of dual channel ram with an Asus 1155 server motherboard. The pc had an overheating cpu so I bought a coolermaster Hyper T2 to cool it, I used new thermal paste and I run the pc and the temps are ranging from 70-92 degrees celsius, what they were before. The program I'm using for measuring temperature is speedfan. Am I getting a faulty reading, is my heatsink not on properly or do I need a new cpu? There are pictures below of the thermal paste. Thanks in advanced.

How to get small LCD screen connected to Raspberry Pi
Markercartoons replied to Markercartoons's topic in Hobby Electronics
The raspberry pi does have a screen port but its fits a different sized lcd screen cable. For some reason my cable isn't the same size as the screen port, I can try putting it in. But do you know if it will work the same even if the screen port fits larger lcd ribbon cable? -
So I just got into building electronics and I have a raspberry pi and I want to connect a small screen to it to make it portable. Now I don't have any money because I'm in high school and don't have a job so I took an lcd from an old camera. The camera was the Vivitar DVR 410. It has an sd card reader, Usb, Camera lens and lcd screen. Is there a way to connect the lcd to the raspberry pi? And is there anything I can use the components for? Is there a way to connect the camera module to the raspberry pi as well? Thanks in advance

You can also build a solenoid out of and iron dowel with copper wire wrapped around it. Also here's a video that shows you how to make a solenoid engine.

I recently upgraded my Graphics card from a gt 730 to a gt 1030 and I get much better performance but I noticed their was a new driver update on geforce experience, so I clicked it and for over half an hour it said "preparing to install" and when I used task manager to close geforce experience it said "geforce experience not responding." This happened three more times, I've never had this problem before. If anybody could help me that would be awesome. Cheers

My new graphics card has 1 hdmi port and 1 display port as I just noticed (I dont have the card yet but I looked at the graphics card from the site I ordered it from), but think that might actually work.

I'm getting a new graphics card and it only has one port which is an HDMI port. I'm using that HDMI port for my monitor but I would like to also plug in a capture card into my PC. The capture card needs to be plugged into an HDMI port on my PC so I would have to use the motherboard HDMI port, which would be run by the integrated graphics. Would doing this affect the image quality of my recordings? Thanks in advanced.

yeah for some reason the "youwin" page doesnt work. After you finish the game it brings you back to the menu but it clearly shows code for another section called "youwin"- 10 replies

Hey I'm trying to make a little game. I have never coded before and I found a tutorial online on how to make a text based game. Here's the tutorial: I have a few questions: he puts the colour as 0a and 1a could someone please give me some examples of other colours? I changed the question in the game and I made the whole game Hip Hop themed, the problem is the person only made one level and I want to make another level with a different question. My version of the game is attached. I tried making a second level but it didn't show up in the game could someone please help me? game.bat
