  1. Hi, were you able to test the QX6800 on the optiplex 745? did it work?
  2. I just saw it go 1.43v playing fornite, should I worry? PBO disabled, everything in auto/default settings
  3. ok, I disabled it and now these are the voltages, it peaked around 1.38v is that safe still? it didnt boost past 4.0ghz all core and lost about 15 points in the score but I guess that is not noticeable
  4. at idle while only using this browser it stays around 1.0v but when I launch some program it goes up to 1.38v here I was running the GTA V benchmark, with 1.43324 average, I do have PBO enabled BUT the voltages were the same before enabling it ( I did enable it on the bios and saw no performance gain on cinebench, so I guess it did nothing)
  5. those are the voltages that im worried about, all core load at 1.433 without me touching any voltage setting
  6. I'm looking for a guide on how to use the technologies on the title of the post or a how to overclock a ryzen 5 3600. I know it wont get that far but I want the most performance out of it(4,2ghz or 4,3ghz all core). From what I have read and watched some people use PBO + XFR or auto OC but I dont know how to. I followed a bullzoid video on how to enable PBO from the bios and set the limits manually but thats about it. Anthony of LTT has a video on it but he uses ryzen master too fast and I dont really get it. Ive read some people saying that ryzen master is garbage or that its better to do bios manual overclock but when the settings on the bios are different from mine I get a little lost. I'm actually a little concerned about the voltages out of the box since some people say that 1.35v is the maximum for all core zen2 while I watch my ryzen master report 1.47v peak, do I need to lower this manually? what do you recommend for overclocking?.
  7. where did you find out how many amps are capable? . thanks btw to both of you that I quoted, if both ryzen 5 3600 and ryzen 7 2700 are both rated for 65w TDP how do you know how it will perform? I mean what I get is that one is 8 core with older manufacturing process/architecture but if tdp is the same which spec can I use to determine that? vcore or something like that? would it be worth it performance wise to save a little bit more and buy the ASUS prime x570p at 240$ ? that is available too but I figured I didnt need the features of x570 (it has a much better vrm though)
  8. thats the thing, I would use a hyper 212x or a corsair AIO since I have both lying around would it be fine still?
  9. If I buy hyperx fury modules advertised for 2666mhz with no other profiles mentioned on the manufacturer website, how possible is to overclock this ram to 3200 or 3600 mhz?
  10. There is currently a shortage of motherboards in my country so I have limited options. I looked up for the bullzoid / gamers nexus b450 motherboard roundup and the only one that is available for me to buy is the AORUS B450 M, that being said its the bottom tier the "it could be worse" according to this review 27:45 its important to mention that in my country the motherboard prices are basically double or more the US price , for the aorus board the price is around 150$. Im also on a tight budget . My other available options to buy are the following: ASUS prime B450m-A at like 115$ Gigabyte B450 Gaming X at 150$ I'm worried for the vrms throttling due to bad cooling, the reviewers mention that that would happen with a ryzen 9 and ofc I have a ryzen 5 but I dont know how will it work with the r5 3600. Would it affect the all core boost performance on sustained loads? the aorus is my go to option because of the review that doesnt mention the other boards and for the troubleshooting leds, Q-flash and dual bios
  11. Doom eternal, GTA V, Fornite, the division two (this last two games are the ones with the occasional frame drops) and I want to play Forza and Need for speed heat
  12. Hi! I have been thinking about upgrading my i7 3770 system it has an rx 580 and I'm starting to feel the .1% lows fps drops. If I only plan to upgrade the cpu/mobo/ram and not the gpu woud it be worth it? Also, should I wait for b550? or just buy a x570 board right now
  13. this is very informative, I can relate to it with some experiences but never thought about it that way. Thanks
  14. it doesnt let me get into the bios settings. I had another board of the same socket and I transfered everything to the new board but I have the exact same issue. Boot loop-No BIOS access.. Tomorrow I will check to see if my cpu died or maybe one of the 4 ram sticks edit: I have 4 cpus of the same socket so i guess it wont be that hard
  15. there is nothing related to the issues on the manual or website https://download1.gigabyte.com/Files/Manual/mb_manual_ga-b75m-d3h_v1.1_e.pdf its and old mobo but I have been using it for 11 months, I opened the box last year, it was new
  16. I did a BIOS update on my PC successfully, it was supposed to fix some issues. And When I finished the update while booting I got a BSOD "inaccessible boot device" so I went ahead and tried to change some bios settings, I remembered that I already got this issue on another pc and I thought I was the same on this one. By some reason the BIOS after updating had the devices setting set to IDE MODE, I changed to where it was before to AHCI and changed from UEFI and legacy support to just UEFI then saved and exit After that the pc doesn't post, its stuck on a boot loop that doesn't allow me to get into the bios settings. I tries to but for like 2 seconds then turns off and tries again. I tried the following: Reset the BIOS shorting the CLR_CMOS pins on the mobo: that didn't do anything Tried to reset the BIOS settings by removing the CMOS battery: didn't do anything either Removed the gpu, all the drives, the 4 sticks of ram one at a time: same result. My mobo has Dual bios so I thought that come in handy but turns out that this second backup bios kicks in JUST when there is a power loss during bios updating.... so it doesn't do anything in my case. What can I do? what do you advice me to try? im really desperate right now edit: im running 4x4gb of kingston ram, an i7 3770, rx 580, corsair cx 650 psu, and this is the mobo manual https://download1.gigabyte.com/Files/Manual/mb_manual_ga-b75m-d3h_v1.1_e.pdf

  18. I own a laptop with the i3 8130u and its a really good cpu for being an i3, the thing hadles mobas and photo editing with a lot of chrome tabs opened on the background. I would recommend you to use the i3 since browsers benefit more of higher core clocks. And I dont know if the pentium can get you by with the screen recording while doing other sutff
  19. That is how its running right now, im glad to see that someone shares my point of view. thanks!
  20. How is that mesh material covering the holes called? where can I get something like that?. You are right, once I get my hands on the stuff to do it I will. thank you!
  21. I thought that the back exhaust being that close to the top intake would be weird but I will try it to see what happends. Thank you!
  22. I have a phanteks p300, I want to see if I can improve the airflow/temps on my case without buying stuff ( I know it would improve if I change all the fans for noctuas and get 140s instead of the 120mm fans that I have). I have a corsair h60 for the processor with the radiator mounted on the front as an intake with two fans as a push pull, below the radiator I have another 120mm fan as an intake blowing air directly to my gpu(rx 580) and finally I have the top and left 120mm fans as exhausts. The intakes of the case are the issue I think they are too small or restricted, when I run it without the front cover I get considerably lower temps but im tired of using the case like that. This is a picture of the case just to save you time of looking it up, I appreciate the help!
  23. Are you using integrated graphics? edit: if you are, could you get some cheap gpu to try if that works? also what processor are you using. Have you tried flashing the bios?
  24. it shows 100% on the performance tab all the time, and 50% on the processes tab
