Hello, I am just wondering whether there is an actual difference in fps between a dual core cpu with hyper-threading and a quad-core cpu. I know resource allocation is one of the potential barriers of performance but, I am interested to know if there are any other advantages/disadvantages of physical and virtual cores' performance variance.
*Note the difference I am looking for is purely on a day to day average gamer level rather than an industry level server or something.
Also this might make a fun video linus can make; bench-marking two computers one, a dual core with hyperthreading, and the other a quad core.
