Well sorry to dissapoint you but a $10 fan from wallmart can move far more CFM then those Dyson fans ever could. They are made for the Apple generation, overpaying out the nose for something that only performs half as well as it should but looks good. look at the cross sections of the design, its a scam they moved the fan to the base and funneled it up to the open ring, might as well buy a leaf blower as they operate under the same concept, also the leaf blower is cheaper.

I would be able to help you since I too have a 930 which is @ 4.2ghz. My chip is quite bad so I need 1.42 on the vcore to keep it stable. It idles at around 40c-45c and my load temps are 79c-83c (Keep in mind my room temp is quite warm atm). I consider a good overclock on that chip under 85c, all though it does depend a lot on your room temperature. You need to figure out what mhz your ram is rated at otherwise I can not help you. I suspect it is 1600mhz but please confirm it.

You can use FreeNAS as TechTeid has pointed which is a simple NAS optimized OS. If although you are interested in more options you can always install a linux distro and then optimize it yourself for file sharing. Alternatively you can also use windows Home Server.

If you have the money now and need your system ASAP I'd say to hell with waiting (especially since we have no idea when it's coming out for sure)
 
But if you've still got saving up to do then I'd say wait for sure

wow why so many partitions on the disk?.  all you need to do is assign a drive letter and it should show up.

if you cant mark the drive as active then add a drive letter don't force it. as it sounds like the nas unit is doing something odd.  if you mess with it to much you may loses all the data.
 
do you have any unknown devices in device manger?
these sort of thing happen when you don't have the correct usb drivers for the ports (chip set) or the controlled is not using the best driver.

Well very little in single core applications and 50% for multi core. Cause 6/4= 1.5 For heavy editing get the 4930k. 

It's a 6c,12t vs 4c, 8t. Obviously when using all cores the 4930k will stomp the 4770k. If you are only using 8 cores though, the 4770k is a clear winner due to it's newer architecture.

X99/Haswell-E  is supposedly coming in Q2.  There migth be a octa-core for the 5930k.

I believe they worded it that only the extreme series (5960x or 5970x) would be 8 core. not 100% sure though. (I think this is how past 6 cores were released, only the extreme editions had it)

Unless that's directly from intel I wouldn't read much into it.  When intel released a new "gen" of cores, it was only the extreme edition CPU's that got the extra cores.  Maybe they've changed their minds, but until intel themselves releases concrete info I wouldn't give any thought to it.

Nothing is set yet. But yes you are rigth it was 6 on the ex and 4 on the no ex. Then next gen was 6 and 6. Maybe maybe not. I hope so. I'm waiting for Haswell-E.

They are almost all good but i would go for the one that is the cheapest. Remember, a website need to be REALLY big to even take up 50MB (if you only host pages and don't host media and such on it). 

What about a portable SSD? Since you are working with such large amounts of video, you could even work off of the drive at acceptable speeds rather than having to offload the data all the time! I remember @LinusTech talking about that a while ago.
