  1. Yeah but the weird thing is, this basically only starting happening a few days ago, before that everything was fine, although netflix was running at that point in time as well.
  2. Hello everyone! I need some help with finding the cause of my problem. Basically whenever Netflix is streaming my ping spikes to like 100ms every few seconds, which is extremely annoying when i wanna play some online games. The thing is our bandwidth isn't affected by netflix really, I still get pretty much full bandwidth on high setting (like 42mbit/s+ out of ~50mbit/s), but my ping spikes nonetheless. I already tried limiting data usage within netflix, but that still does nothing, meaning even when I stream on the lowest possible resolution my ping spikes. Any ideas?
  3. I'm myself more of a team green member, but that doesn't mean that you just have to accept everything nvidia does, right?
  4. Yeah it's just really sad, I mean there are so many people that upgraded from Maxwell to Pascal. I don't get it, it's not like that upgrade was absolutely necessary, because they can't run their games anymore, that's just bullshit. Especially upgrading from a 980/980ti.
  5. I remember here in germany the 980 launched at about 500-550€, now the 1080 is way over 700€ here, that price increase is just crazy. And as for the get used to it, that's exactly what people need to stop saying. People are just so lazy, they keep accepting every inconvenience, just why?
  6. I own a 1440p panel and I have to say that it's definitely an upgrade over 1080p, though you will still need AA, unlike some people might suggest. 1440p is kind of the sweet spot right now in my opinion since it offers a bigger screen size and better details but is not as difficult to drive like a 4k panel. Also can recommend 144Hz ips g-sync/freesync panels, definitely really cool stuff.
  7. The original Mirror's edge definitely is an amazing game in my opinion. You can get that game for like under 3-5 pounds though on external sites like g2a/g2play etc.
  8. What I meant by that is, that you don't have to buy amd if you are unhappy with nvidia's current mindset/pricing. If people just stopped buying nvidia for a while they will have to give in eventually. People just need to be more patient or even ask themselves is it even worth it to upgrade to the new generation from their current graphics card?
  9. Usually I really don't do stuff like this, but this one pisses me off so badly. This is some kind of PSA/Rant combination. The launch of the gtx 1080 was an insult, especially for the EU. The argument "It's faster than a 980Ti, it's a great deal", is the dumbest argument I've ever heard. It is meant to replace the gtx 980, not the 980Ti. If you argue like that, then that would mean that each generation should have a significant price increase, just because it's faster than the previous, meaning we would see an ever increasing price tag, so that the x80 will sell for $1000 in the near future? Now following the 970 marketing deception, nvidia doesn't seem to have learned. Calling the new 3GB variant of the 1060 also 1060, when it clearly isn't, is just another proof of how safe nvidia feels with its market shares. By the way this whole 1060 thing calls for yet again another class action lawsuit, so that nvidia will perhaps learn someday. I believe that there is a valid case here. Saddest thing of all is that nvidia will continue to sell a ton of cards, because people are just accepting all of this with the mindset there is nothing that can be done. If people just stopped going out buying everything nvidia throws on the market, they will be forced to stop with this crap. AMD isn't the only one that can force nvidia into surrender, just remember that. (Just as valid for Intel, by the way)
  10. Hey everyone! I recently I thought to myself, why should I wear my In-Ears outdoors, when I could just use my DT990's Over-Ears and have way better audio quality. But then again I thought that it might look really weird. What are your thoughts on Over-Ears in general or in my case the DT990's for using outdoors? Thanks in advance!
  11. I'm pretty sure you can call that a defect, since it's a feature that's part of your product, but is clearly not functioning.
  12. Unfortunately coil whine is in almost every case no reason for rma. Coil whine isn't anything that will harm your graphics card though.
  13. Put the 390 into the i7 system and you will get the most out of it.
  14. Do the math. With 144Hz you will get a new image every 6,95ms (1000/144) and with 165Hz you will get one every 6,06ms. You gotta be some sort of super human to notice a difference. We are talking about not even 1ms... I think 144Hz is perfectly fine.
  15. Kaby lake will be a Skylake refresh, just like Devil's canyon was a Haswell refresh. I don't think it's really worth to wait. And outdated is a really unfitting word, since even ivy bridge cpus are still very capable. Performance-wise cpus aren't really getting much faster anymore with each new generation.
  16. oooor you could wait for pascal and see what happens (price drops on 970, amd cards or even get the 1070)
  17. To be honest I don't think there are decent enough 1440p/144hz or 4k monitors for that price yet. The only decent 4k monitor I know of for under $400 is this one: http://www.amazon.com/Dell-Monitor-P2415Q-24-Inch-LED-Lit/dp/B00PC9HFNY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1458605208&sr=8-1&keywords=dell+4k+24%22 but it's only 24"... Might get a good deal on a used one though.

    Game/chat audio

In theory your "default device" will playback any non-related communication audio, whereas your "default communication device" will only playback any communication audio.

    Game/chat audio

Try right-clicking your headphones under playback devices in the audio settings within windows and select "use as default com device", leave your monitor as "default device".
  20. I think this software might solve your problem, though I've never used it. http://www.chevolume.com/
  21. My mom owns one, and I would say it's definitely better than it's rep, but not enough for me to actually get one. The battery life is ok and should get you through the day most of the time. At $100 off I would say it's worth to consider.
  22. look at this, includes 380, 380x and 960
  23. Or take a look at the 380x even. Here in germany it's only about 15-20€ more expensive than the gtx 960 but also a few percent more powerful.
  24. Pretty decent entry level gpu for 1080p
