  1. Now I need permission from either myself or 'Everyone' to delete the file?
  2. This is the offending folder D:\WindowsApps\Microsoft.SpartaUWP_9.8.0.2_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe It contains the GOW4 game files (\GearGame\...) which was there on my D: drive before I built my new PC and did a fresh install of windows as advised to do with a Ryzen build. Now I cannot delete it due to needing permission from SYSTEM to do so. I do not want to reformat the disk as I have >11000 photos on the drive and I cannot afford a drive to back them up onto while I do that, so far this is the only way I can see to get rid of the massive 116GB folder. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get rid of it? Not sure what else I can say so if anyone wants more information please ask and I'll endeavour to find it.
  3. This did appear to work but I rebooted and it was doing the same thing again I am on the latest BIOS I've heard bad things about Ryzen master
  4. After much heartache I have finally got a fully functioning Ryzen build. *celebrates* However, when I try overclock the CPU (BCLK: 100MHZ, Multiplier: 38 or 40, Voltage:1.375-1.400) in CPU-Z and HWMonitor it shows the multiplier being set to 22 and thus the CPU frequency is 2200MHz. Running Cinebench with these settings I get about half the score I get when I don't change anything and the CPU runs at stock settings and HWMonitor and CPU-Z show no change in clock frequency. The motherboard is running the latest BIOS (F5 for Gigabyte) and I am running the latest versions of CPU-Z and HWMonitor, I have set the power settings to High Performance. Has anyone had any experience of this happening, be it on Ryzen or another platform?
  5. OK flashing back to the F4 BIOS didn't work either. Still looping. I have noticed that the CPU and RAM error lights alternate? Have I done something really bad?
  6. Nope didn't work. Still can't get into my boot drive. The loop keeps happening. Should I flash back to the BIOS that worked?
  7. And yes I did. So shame on me I guess.
  8. So the fact I can still get into the bios is good because i can flash it properly?
  9. So I was happily setting up my new build and then windows froze. I couldn't open task manager or anything, not even a blue screen. All I had done was install a new browser, update the bios to F5 using the @BIOS utility that gigabyte offer and start installing programs, that was all fine. A few restarts later the freeze happened. When I turn the PC on it posts as normal tries to get to windows then restarts and eventually remains on with a black screen. Sometimes it does a drive check sometimes it says 'prepare automatic repair'. This is my third build and I've never come across this before. I tried inserting the windows installation drive but the boot cycle occurs again. I have tried one RAM stick and it makes no difference. The code on the debug display is 24 which is not covered in the manual. If no drives or usb devices are plugged in it takes me to the BIOS like it should. Any ideas whats happening here and how I should proceed? Specs: CPU: R5 1600X @ stock MoBo: Gigabyte AX370-Gaming 5 RAM: Corsair Vengeance LED 3200 @ 2133 GPU: MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 240GB
  10. If you look at the cinema industry (appreciated that LMG isn't in cinema) but if they shoot on a digital camera they tend to shoot in 8K and master in 4K as it gives them more flexibility in post processing. Similar to photography where a higher resolution allows for more flexibility on cropping. I am assuming LMG is doing the same thing. As for 60fps, if you run at 30 and shoot at 60 you can slow footage down if you shoot faster you can slow down even more, this is really important for things like B roll where it needs to look smooth and buttery. The shooting in 8K for the extra power in post is also useful here.
  11. It links to your home country. I click the links and get UK prices.
  12. @intender my test bench is set up and everything i could reseat has been reseated and it does exactly the same thing. Tried with one RAM stick too, same thing. Could it be my PSU not providing enough voltage? I have a ticket open with Gigabyte for support so if we can't solve it here then I'll post the fix thy give me.
  13. Just invested in Ryzen. Got the Gigbyte Aorus GA-AX370-Gaming 5, 1600X and 2x8GB of 3200MHz Corsair Vengeance LED RAM. Hooked it up to my existing Corsair RM750i PSU, Corsair H115i Cooler and MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G expecting thing to run smoothly but once the power was turned on the LED on the on board power button and the white LEDs on the RAM came on but were flickering. In addition to this the PSU makes a clicking sound (about the same frequency as the flickers). I thought it may be the fact it has never powered on before and pressed the power button and all lights went out and the clicking stopped, the only way to get the lights back on is to unplug the 24 pin motherboard power and plug it back in again. No error code on the MoBo and the fans do not even start to spin so I am totally stuck what to try. The first build the PSU was in everything powered on fine, the second build (listed in the signature) the computer seem to power on twice, first time for a second then turn off for a few seconds then turn on and POST. This is the only thing I can give as a clue as to what's going on. Sadly I don't just have another PSU just chilling in my wardrobe to try out and see if the PSU is indeed the problem. Any suggestions as to what the issue is? Thank you in advance. Edit: If it wasn't clear this system has never powered on so there is no OS.
  14. Hey, I was a little incorrect about the timescale for AM4 socket APUs. Some are already out now, you could buy one of those now on an AM4 motherboard and then grade to a ryzen on if an when you want as they will be on the same socket.
  15. Hmm all very much rumor at the moment but the rumors agree on 'late 2017' with Ryzen 3 coming '2H 2017' but you'll need a GPU with a Ryzen 3. I think top end Ryzen 3 will be around the $150 mark I expect so the APUs will be around that I think but this is speculation! look at current APUs and that may give an idea maybe add $10-$20? Performance wise here is a video of AMDs last APUs so expect them to be a fair amount better than these: He is going to explain everything a lot better than myself.
