  1. I've got a mini ITX system with minimal storage bays and a lack of support for full size hard drives. So a 2.5" ssd would be great, especially since I've currently only got 120gb of storage.
  2. Everything is connected as should be. Like I said, it worked fine and quit working after I moved it back to where it was previously sitting. I cannot think of anything that could have happened between point A and point B
  3. Ok, I recently built my pc and it worked like a charm. However, when I bought the pc case, I was told the front LED was supposed to be a soft orange. When I powered it on and saw a sporadic flashing red light, I assumed something bad was happeneing and I shut the pc down. I switched some LED pins and it turned on, but was still red. I did this on off test a few times before i realized that the hddLED was red. Not sure why it wasn't Orange, but oh well. I turned the pc back off, put the side panels back on, replaced it in it's previous location at the left of my desk, plugged in my display and peripherals, hit power, and nothing. Didn't beep or flash or anything. Just didn't turn on. The only different thing I did was plug the mouse and keyboard into the front usb3.0 ports instead of the back like I usually do. The front ones were pretty stiff and didn't like being used, so I just plugged then into the back again and hit power. The only thing I can think of is that the power button has decided to stop working, however the button is at the opposite end of the case, that is, usb in upper middle, power at bottom. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thanks in advance.
  4. I thought so. I had used a tv once with my laptop before I gave it away and assumed it was low quality because the laptop's native resolution was only 1366x768. Anyway, thanks for letting me know.
  5. I like the thought process you give, but my graphics card of choice is too large for that particular case. I believe mine to be about 11in/280mm in length. Do you have any other suggestions? Actually, how well does a typical HD-TV at 1080p play games and how would you describe its fidelity? I've got a spare and I've never really used one up close. Using a tv instead of buying a monitor would free up another $120 I could put towards an ssd. Lastly, what ssd would you recommend, because I dont want to sell my house and be a bum on the streets for only 100gb of storage. Id like the best capacity to price ratio.Ps, if my sense of humor doesn't appeal to anyone I'll stay pretty neutral on my replies
  6. Hey everyone! I've been asking around and since the strangers with the vans and candy have yet to help me, I've come here to ask for help. I want to know the best no-comprimises, mini itx case. I had originally decided to go with the Silverstone RVZ02, but I don't like the fact that there is awful cable management (unless you're ok creating a snake swamp pile 'o' ugly with them in front of the psu) and the case gives a "chintzy" vibe. I don't like the node 202 either because it looks like a VHS player... So, what I need to know is: What is the best itx case that offers cable management that is to a degree as not to be ugly, supports a full size gpu, and is good for mobility? I do a lot of back and forth travel and the things I do, such as photoshop, animation, game making, and hardcore gaming are not suitable for a laptop. Also, since my budget is just shy of affording an SSD, I'd like to ask just how bad is constant movement of a normal 2.5" mechanical hard drive? Lastly, if anyone would like to request the parts I plan to put into the case, just ask. Anyway, thanks to all! PS: just, please... avoid ugly cases. I already have a dusty vhs, no need to mock him. He's sensitive. --- I do apreciate the cases you guys n gals have been suggesting, but the one I like (corsair 380T) is priced to the point of exceeding my budget. I DO have enough money to buy the case, but I also need money to buy a monitor as well, and given the fact that this pc would be useless without a monitor, I can't compromise there. I need a case that's in the $60-$90 price range and the cable management doesn't have to be great. It just needs to be not ugly. If anyone has personally used the Silverstone RVZ02, I'd appreciate an overview of the ins and outs of it as well as the positives and negatives.
  7. I have no tech savy family members, but my brother has begun to realise how much better pc gaming is than console gaming. He's willing to make the switch and learn the art of pc gaming IF he can enjoy the gaming experience at the desk the same as he can in the living room. Since my budget can't get a fancy monitor, I'm here to ask you guys for one, if I get drawn that is. Not quite the same as the living room tv, but hey, who sits more that a few feet/meters from their desk to pc game anyway? Sorry, this is longer than it needs to be... http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00ITORITU/ref=psd_mlt_nbc_B00B2HH7G0_p
