  1. Hi, I'm building a PC however I'm without a case this time, for the time being, I want to know if setting my motherboard, along with my PSU and HDD on a cardboard box will short anything and ruin my whole system. I haven't plugged anything into the motherboard yet (power wise) in fear of frying it, so am I okay with just setting on a cardboard box? -Thanks
  2. So I was planning on doing a clean install of Windows 10 because a new version of a game is releasing tomorrow (Prepar3D v4) and I want nothing to do with the previous version, so I decided to do a clean install of windows. My question is, when I do the clean install, will I have to go to a bunch of websites and re-install all of my drivers???
  3. So yesterday my microphone was working fine. It's the Blue Yeti, just the normal one. Today when I tried to call a friend it didn't work...I tested it on Audacity and didn't work... SO I looked up the problem and I tried uninstalling the drivers and then when I'd restart my PC would re-install them. I've switched USB ports, front and back. I could hear myself if I directly plugged my headphones into the microphone. Could it be a bad cable??? I have no idea what the problem is and nothing is fixing it..
  4. It worked, I guess it was an older version. But now it sees it. Thanks!!
  5. The SSD is in AHCI right now, how do I get it to "IDE" (MSI BIOS)
  6. Alright let me try that, the SSD is in SATA 1 at the moment
  7. I had the HDD unplugged before hand as well. I'll re-arrange the order, maybe it's a bad SATA port.? Not sure though considering the motherboard sees it
  8. So here I am, doing a clean install, new pc and such. I get into the windows installation, and it gives me the error: "No device drivers were found, Make sure the installation media contains the correct drivers, and then click OK". I've already done the disk part and clean the disk(SSD) buy that didn't work. Both the HDD and SSD are showing up in the BIOS. I am installing this off of a USB. So what do I have to do for it to see the SSD?? SSD model: Kingston Hyper X 120gb
  9. So I say Windows 7 on a USB meaning, I download the ISO file/folder onto the USB, plug the USB into my new computer, and then it'll just install it off the USB. My question is, can it be any typical USB flash drive?
  10. Thanks, and I can agree with you on the 980 apart, it only BARELY misses on a few benchmarks. Thanks for the help, just wanted to be sure of myself
  11. I currently have the MSI GTX 1060, and I'm hoping to finish up my gaming setup with an LG 29UM68-P (From Amazon). I am choosing this monitor under a budget. But my question is, will I be able to run the ultrawide with my 1060? Or will I need a g-sync monitor?
  12. So I just finished building my first PC, 6700K @ 4.6 GHz, MSI GTX 1060, (if you need more specs just ask). I'm looking for a monitor with intentions of gaming @ 1080p. I also plan on buying 2 monitors just to make things easier and organize better etc etc. So, can anyone suggest me a good monitor? Thanks!
  13. So I was simply taking the CPU socket cover off my motherboard this morning and the corner jabbed a few of the pins on the socket. So does anyone know if I can separately purchase that part rather than having to buy a completely new mobo?
  14. Okay, so everything is set and done? No need to do anything?
  15. So, I just got my Kraken X61 from NZXT and I opened it with excitement yada yada yada, but I didn't hear any liquid. So my question is, do I need to purchase some liquid mixture sort of thing or what? Thanks!
  16. I enter for that Kiro! I've had my X51's default mouse for about 3-4 years and it's getting pretty old and ugly. Would really like a new one to go along with my new PC build!
  17. I'd say the most difficult part of a PC build is affording it. Otherwise mounting a cooler onto the motherboard is a real struggle for me, I don't know why but it just is..
  18. So I'm building a PC and I was taking a look at Corsair's new liquid cooled 980Ti. The case for my build is the Phanteks Enthoo Pro and I was wondering if I could fit this GPU with it's cooler but I'm also fitting a NZXT Kraken x61 in there to cool my CPU. So my question is could I fit both of these in my case?

  21. Hello, this is my first official build, I've tried multiple times in the past and failed quite greatly, so I restarted my build and this is what I chose. Anything that isn't selected I already have. I plan on overclocking this CPU to as far as the Kraken x61 can take it. Please give me feedback on what you'd change. Post your changes below or just things I should change. I run a 1920 x 1200 monitor, and I play many high end games. Thanks
  22. I love my good old Windows 7, but Windows 10 works just fine!
  23. I'm look for a good pair of headphones to use for my ultimate gaming experience, my budget is $125 - $150. I'm using a beautiful yeti as my microphone and I'm missing my sound. What's a great pair of headphones that I could get within that price range? I'd like 7 .1 surround too. Thanks
