Nah that actually looks good. Tbh the backside doesn't really matter too much unless that side has a glass panel but in terms of organization I'd say you're fine. I'm just happy if the main part of my case looks good, cba about the back.

You can totally setup everything without a case for testing purposes. Just use the motherboard box as a little stand for the mobo, plug everything in and go for it. Loads of people do this before building their PC in the case so they don't have to remove everything if something comes doa.

Way better than wifi for me (mostly). I don't really see an upgrade in speed but definitely better ping and stability overall.

In most cases Intel will beat AMD but in terms of price to performance an AMD CPU will most likely be the better option.

Yeah would bid on that tbh. As long as it doesn't go over £450 ish I'd say that's a decent buy.

1080ti, better performance and probably can be found cheaper than a 2070.

CPU could be bottlenecking your GPU, what usage % does the CPU usually run at when you're in-game?

Whatever game(s) you're playing aren't taxing the GPU that much then. This is a good thing unless you're getting poor performance in-game.

My bad, I'm thinking SATA as in just a "normal" SSD that most people would have like a Samsung 850 EVO or the like.

saladcrack got a reaction from XR6 in Is this a decent pre build?
Yeah looks alright to me. Tbh don't worry about your friend not wanting to build his own or let you build it. With a prebuilt (especially this one) you're getting a warranty on the entire thing not just individual parts so if something goes wrong it's incredibly easy to remedy (if their customer support is up to scratch of course).

Probably best to do it if you're buying used or questionable parts just to verify everything performs as expected. I personally don't feel the need to most of the time. I do benchmark my stuff just for sh*ts and giggles or to compare it when getting an upgrade. If you overclock it's beneficial to test the stability of said overclock but at stock speeds everything should be perfectly stable or they wouldn't sell it right?

In terms of how long it's really up to you and how much time you have. One hour is nice and quick if you just want to get a quick baseline or need to figure something out. Four to six hours is probably best just to test the longevity if you still need to use your computer that day. 12 to 24 hours is a bit much but after that you can be comfortable that whatever you have works properly (assuming nothing goes wrong).
