  1. Howdy, I have a switch pro controller that refuses to be recognized on Windows 11 via wired connection. After doing some research, this is an issue with the combination of an AMD CPU with an Nvidia Grahpics card. It looks like my computer is missing the "AMD UCM-UCSI Device" which is also crucial to getting it detected. I'm having no luck finding it online and was wondering if someone has had a similar experience troubleshooting who could help me out. Specs: MB: ROG STRIX B550-A GAMING CPU: Ryzen 5700x GPU: ASUS TUF 3080 (10G)
  2. Hello everyone and thank you for all the great suggestions, After about 30 mins of tinkering, I ended up getting the ram to work at the advertised speed! Thank you guys again
  3. Hello there, I have just finished my second build and have been trying to overclock my 32GB kit of G.SKILL TridentZ RGB ram to it's advertised 3600mhz clock speed. Somehow I had forgot to check whether or not the specific model number of my ram is compatible with my Asus Prime Z270-A Mobo. Whenever I run the XMP Settings for the ram, the computer will not post and I get an American Megatrends error telling me to go back into BIOS. Is there a way to get my ram up to 3600Mhz manually and getting it to post? Also.... Bios is updated to the latest version 1009 Ram model number is F4-3600C16Q-32GTZR https://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232492&_ga=2.144568694.2116711793.1510924123-530688992.1509990345&_gac=1.19357386.1510339407.Cj0KCQiAuZXQBRDKARIsAMwpUeTXZ12flSnUMPiyQV1AVak-CiSVJS0z4SSvrZhU8m2WQi-2RinXZIgaAl0OEALw_wcB
  4. Yes I am Side note: Razer mouse and Keyboard aren't lighting up either
  5. The PC is a year old and was working last night. I plugged everything back in and out and tested to see if my graphics card was dead but it doesn't seem to be the problem. Even plugging into onboard graphics won't work. I reset CMOS and it still wont display anything on my monitor. The monitor itself works when I use it with my Xbox One. I'm wondering if a component is dead. Any thoughts?
  6. I have an MSI R9 390 graphics card in my rig right now, why i wanna upgrade? Simple, more glorious fps
  7. I think I'll go with the 390 build, just as it's a cheaper price. However I will opt for a 1080p display instead of a 4K one.
  8. Holy balls, okay thanks I owe you one! Just curious in the difference between the 390 and 980?
  9. The CAD work i'm doing is going to be for university, so just some student stuff.
  10. Hello everyone, I'm fairly new to the PC building world and was wondering if you guys could help me out with building a rig. I have around $2500 CAD to spend... Really only want to spend $2000 though in total when it comes to components and peripherals. I'm set on a GTX 980 as it'll most likely give me a min of 60fps in 1080p for most games and also will handle all of my rendering stuff when it comes to AutoCAD Revit and Photoshop. If you could help me out with the rest that would be really great! Thanks in advance.
  11. Sorry forgot to add the budget, around the 2000 dollar range in CAD so please take that into account when describing parts
  12. Hey everyone, so it's come to my attention that my potato power laptop has come to its end when it comes to rendering buildings in AutoCAD Revit and programs such as Rhino, SolidWorks and MasterCAM. I'm off to university in a few months so i'm gonna need to build a powerful computer to handle these multiple programs running all at once. Also... I really wanna sneak in some gaming time during studies, so help a guy out by choosing some parts for him eh? Preferably something that i can run most games at 1080p 60fps and wont have to worry about upgrading for about 4 years give or take. Thanks for the help!
